John you should have been upfront with your $200 an hour rate because that's what real professionals charge I checked before calling you. You mentioned a $100 deposit and it would be $400 with the deposit. I will take accountability for not getting a solid quote from you but this was a total disappointment for my family. You made us wait for you to get to our house to bring your truck to help with the move according to your brother too and I thought when you brought your truck you were going to fill it up with the rest of our things that couldn't fit in the U-Haul, and it was for one 90 inch TV causing more time on the clock. You should have came by to see how much stuff we had to better manage your time. Anyway live and learn we will be reporting you to the better business bureau. You have the day you deserve. read more

They were so good it was almost funny. I saw a truck drive up at about 10:48 and wondered if it might not be them, a few minutes early. About five minutes later, my phone dinged 11:00. Instantly, they sprang out of the truck and went to work. Stuff that would have taken me days and days to move, with damage guaranteed, was done in two hours. And it was HEAVY stuff. I had three guys loading my belongings. Took 5 hours to do the job but Juan,Carlos, & Jose did a great job in the way they stacked everything into the truck. I had a 26 ft U-Haul for a 4 bedroom house and almost everything fit , with only using two straps lol. Will more likely use them again when we move again. read more

After I posted my negative review John actually texted me and explained the no call, no show. He was very apologetic and courteous. I completely understood his situation and was just grateful to hear from him. He offered to send me my deposit back plus extra as compensation for the inconvenience. He was prompt with sending the money. I now give 5 stars based on my experience with him reaching out and making this right. I would give his company another chance if I needed their services. I would give 0 STARS if I could. I called and spoke to John on Wednesday 7/31. He instructed me to text him my info to confirm scheduled movers for 8/1 at 8 AM. Once I did he requested I send him a $100 deposit via Zelle. Nobody showed up 8/1 at 8AM or 9AM or anytime that day or after. I have called multiple times every day since and even sent a message via IG. It rings and then I get voicemail. I have left a voicemail and requested my $100 deposit back. I don't understand how there are great reviews and yet I've been ghosted by this moving company. I would obviously not recommend this business to anyone and WARN everyone to be cautious when dealing with this business. Thought with a 5 star review it would be a easy process, I was wrong. The three guys it came to move our house dragged our refrigerator across Linoleum damaging it beyond repair in two places. Dealing with the owner John Perez has proven to be a slow agonizing process the end result was my former landlord is charging me $1000 to replace the floor which John only feels he owes $300 of that. I had these guys move some furniture from one of my facilities to a storage unit nearby. Movers were polite and worked hard. But I learned from my bad experience dont take quotes over the phone have them come in and look. I was quoted 250-300 ended up paying almost 800 and little driving was required. Also I am having a hell of a time trying to receive a receipt from these guys to submit to my billing department. Not every moving company is willing to move extra heavy safes around, Pick Up and Go Movers does it with ease, they have moved a 1000Lb safe twice for me now, like it was easy. The second safe move they guided this particular safe through multiple narrow passes and set it in place exactly were we wanted it, not a single nick on the walls or safe, I did not think that was possible because the route was full of narrow tight spots to navigate including tile and carpet surfaces. This is the second time I used this company and their professional staff, and will be using them for this upcoming third move coming up. They are careful with property every time, fast and proficient in the moving process. Well worth the money, and the moving headache avoided. The best decision we made after buying our home was to contact John and his crew to move our stuff. We had been living in an apartment for 3 months and had a storage unit. We also had a Pod which was delivered to our home the day before John and his crew were scheduled. They were prompt and professional! Met us at our apartment, then headed over to our storage unit then on to the house where they unloaded everything including the pod. They were respectfull of our furniture and set up our beds, desk and anything else that needed attention. They worked great as a team, even when challenged on getting our treadmill in the house. I had got their information from my apartment complex office, and I'm SO glad I did. I called around 7 different movers and got insane quotes! We were staying within four complex and just moving buildings, and most wouldn't do anything under 3 or 4hrs. And our move was not gonna take that long. I contacted John and and everything was so smooth, he informed me that they didn't have an hourly minimum, how ever long the job took is what they would charge, including only charging for half hours vs a full hour. I even had to change my move date and there were no issues! The 3 guys came and did the move like it was nothing! Hauling everything from our 3rd floor unit to our new 1st floor unit. They were all so nice and professional, showed up on time and had great equipment for the job. They even took apart one of my bed frames and put it back together in the new place. I would never recommend this place. The first time I used them they were 2 hours late. However they called and said they had issues with a truck. I excused it. The second time, I scheduled my move and received confirmation from them for a specific day and time. Come moving day, I did not receive a call, text or email stating that they would not show. They never arrived or contacted me. They did not return any phone calls or texts. This place was very unprofessional and made the stress of moving even worse. EASIEST MOVING EXPERIENCE EVER! The young men of Pick up and go movers completely moved all my family's belongings in safely and carefully within 3 hours! I had a POD and a storage unit, when they pulled up to my house from the storage they took about .3 seconds to start unloading everything. They were polite and respectful. I couldn't believe they were already finished by the time I ordered them pizza! How sweet they stayed and ate pizza with my family. It was stress free and fast! I do not recommend this moving service company to anyone!! They are unprofessional, unresponsive and unreliable. I scheduled with John to move today and he promised to be there between 10:30am-11:00am. I called and waited all day and he ignored us and did not even replied to any calls or text. This is unacceptable and a horrible way to do business. This caused an unconvenience for my family especially being senior parents who cannot do it themselves. Because of John lack of professionalism, I had to go through the trouble to find a uhaul myself last minute and couldn't get one till 4pm and had to move everything on my own. I do not appreciate people who do not know how to run a business and cannot communicate . I don't ever give bad reviews; however this one is a must! The guys are very hard working. I texted at the last minute, to help move a bedroom set they were able to accommodate me even on short notice. They drove all the way out to Lodi to pick up the set. They brought plenty of blankets and they shrink wrapped everything, and got the set ready to go in no time. However, I commend these guys in getting the stuff in the room. They worked hard, we have multiple tight corners and the furniture was very heavy and they got everything in and placed. They even helped us put the armoire together.
