Sherrell and Jennifer W. went BEYOND our expectations with customer service! Manager Sherrell blow our expectations by updating our mattress (to be better one!) and gave us free delivery. Unfortunately, we had to go back because we didn't like the "Twilight" mattress. Hello firm lovers! Jennifer W. welcomed us with a cheery smile and we were able to exchange our mattress without any problems. We will be requesting Jennifer W. or Sherrell for all of our future purchases!! If you want be taken care of, the right way and the FIRST time, request Jennifer W. or manager Sherrell. You'll thank me!

I had a very disappointing experience at Bob's Discount Furniture in Dover, DE…read more I work long hours, so most of my free time to shop is in the evening. The store advertises hours of 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM, so I planned my visit accordingly. I arrived on Monday, July 6, 2026, around 8:15 PM. After about 10 minutes of looking around, a salesman greeted us. He was polite at first, but he was trying to assist us while also helping another customer. It was obvious multi tasking is not for him , and we never really received the attention needed for such a large purchase. Around 8:40 PM, the music was turned off. I was by the coffee and cookie station getting my child a cookie when a woman I assumed was the manager (dark hair in a bun) began putting away the coffee and refreshments. Loud enough for customers to hear, she told the salesman, "Yep, it's time to go home. Time to close up." The problem was that the store didn't close for another 20 minutes. Whether there were 20 minutes left or only 5, that's not how customers should be made to feel. The message was clear: they were more interested in getting everyone out the door than helping customers. Shopping for furniture is a major purchase that takes time, and once we felt rushed, we had no desire to continue. I completely understand that employees want to go home after a long shift, but if your posted hours say you're open until 9:00 PM, customers should receive the same level of service until 9:00 PM--not feel like an inconvenience because they came in during business hours. That interaction made me question what kind of customer service I'd receive after the sale if there were ever a problem. If customers are treated like an inconvenience before they've even made a purchase, it's hard to have confidence in the company afterward. We decided to leave without buying anything. The next morning we went to Ashley Furniture in the neighboring shopping center, where we were welcomed, never felt rushed, and ended up purchasing our living room furniture there instead. Unfortunately, Bob's Discount Furniture lost a sale because customer service ended before the store's posted business hours did.

I have used this store a few times and have been satisfied up until now. Came in to purchase a…read moredresser and wanted it the same day. Unfortunately they did not have it and needed to be ordered. The sales man offered me a dresser that looked nothing like what a wanted and it was $100 more. He also seemed like he wanted to get me out of the store as soon as possible. Reluctantly I ordered the dresser which was going to take 3-6 weeks. I put down a deposit, but was able to find it somewhere else with sooner availability. I called Furniture and More for a refund on my deposit only to be told I could only have a store credit. I had no choice at this point but to wait for the furniture and pay for the rest of the product. I received a phone call later that week stating I could have my dresser delivered sooner than planned. The delivery was scheduled for that Saturday. On Saturday the wrong dresser was brought to my home. Needless to say $400 I was not happy. I called the store and they told me this is what I ordered. This is not what I ordered. This is what the salesman tried to sell to me and I did not want. I was told I would be issued a refund which is not even pending into my account. I called and the women who supposedly issued the refund was condescending and very rude. She asked if I have ever been issued a refund and I said she. She said "I don't doubt it". I will NEVER use the this store. You get what you pay for and that's poor customer service. Unfortunately the rudest person in the store is the district manager. Sorry my purchase wasn't substantial enough to warrant a better outcome.

So well worth the visit!…read more Most people know about the amazing things Habitat For Humanity does for people in communities all over the US. You've seen the photos of President and Mrs. Carter as they climb ladders and wield nail guns, helping to build a house for someone who is working at their side, putting in sweat equity as they work towards home ownership. It's a beautiful thing to see and a charity that all of us can feel confident in supporting. As much as I would love to say I can swing a hammer or lift a beam, the honest truth is that I would struggle with the physical demands of construction work. That's ok, because it turns out that charities also need capital, which is where the Re-Store locations come in. Thanks to the dedicated staff and a generous community this store is stocked with cleaned and assembled used furniture treasures, just waiting to be found. The store begins just beyond the meeting areas at the front of the building. You'll find a smattering of books and kitchen goods along with dishes, some tee shirts, and whatever other small things are donated. Then you'll turn to the left and see a collection of dining sets, sofas, and everything else anyone might need to fill a home. Keep going back and you might find appliances or lighting fixtures. It changes every day, so it's best to go often. They don't deliver, but will be happy to help you load your purchases in your car. They will pick things up from your home if your donation is worth their attention, but they are happiest if you can drop things off instead. Please only donate things that others might actually want to buy, as it simply creates more work and cost for them if they have to dispose of things that can't be sold. I'm writing this review while sitting at a table from Re-Store. It's a solid wood table which will live beyond my current home decor decisions. I'll bring it back to Re-Store when I'm ready for a change!
