I thought he was just joking around, talking to my dog that was in the seat next to me. He said that I had an open container in my car. I had been moving and the can was trash that I had picked off of the floor of the car from a swim bag. I had forgotten to throw away the can. So I said okay, I threw away the can in the dumpster plus some other trash I had and went inside. I told him I had the trash away and he still said he couldn't serve me. I am a 44 year old woman. I am a local resident of Carbondale and have been my whole life. I have been a customer at your liquor store for a long period of time. I am really shocked how I was treated. Especially since I was completely sober. I don't understand why? Did the drive thru attendant/manager think I had a cork screw in my purse to open the wine I wanted and drink it right there out of the bottle while I was driving with my 3 dogs in the car with me. Absolutely ridiculous! I will call tomorrow and speak to the manager Ray or the owners but I will not let this go.

I can't rate this relative to the other liquor stores in Carbondale, and I am only commenting on…read morethe wine selection, which is disappointing. There is a generous selection of local southern wines, but some of the bottles are older than they should be. European wine is almost non-existent. The selection is aimed at the under $15 range, but oddly there are few exceptions at $75, with nothing in between.

My favorite was the crimson eclipse. Food- 3/5. We ordered some appetizers and they were a little disappointing/did not match the description of the menu. The margarita pizza was a little spicy. Fruit and cheese plate had some nice jam, but the presentation was off. Crab cakes were small. Also, the menu on their website was slightly outdated. I would still recommend this location as it's very classy, great for groups, and plenty of parking. Service was excellent. Indoor and outdoor seating.

For a cocktail or bottle of wine Id guess they meet expectation. The food menu is very limited. The…read morefood was mid to low quality. We ordered appetizers a calzone ( burnt in on end, blackened on the bottom -bitter tasting) and a sandwich ( warm, chips oily and soggy). It seems like there are only 2-3 staff working on a graduation / Mother's Day weekend ???? Service was slow but these folks were clearly overwhelmed. They were polite and apologetic for the food preparation time. There were very few folks there so they weren't slammed busy and overwhelmed, just overwhelmed. We likely won't be back. $325 Dinner and drinks bill and any chain place with mid quality drinks and food ( Chilis, Applebee's, Cheddars, ) would be 1/2 the cost and clearly better. An upscale place ( Flame, Texas Roadhouse, Outback) would be a way bether choice for comparable money. The Venue is stunning and looks clean. Hopefully they get it together, or get someone in the space who can. Disappointed at best.
