Especially since I was completely sober. I don't understand why? Did the drive thru attendant/manager think I had a cork screw in my purse to open the wine I wanted and drink it right there out of the bottle while I was driving with my 3 dogs in the car with me. These are $35-40 and $55-60 bottles, respectively. The owner gives me some sheepish grin, a shrug, and a "these are allocated products" line. Yeah, for you and for every other store in town. For every store in Kentucky, for that matter. Now, I'm sure they sit behind the shelf collecting dust for quite a while, but occasionally some college-aged kid or newbie comes in, sees Blanton's, recalls that it's a "hard to find" product and pays that price, thinking that's how the market works. This place is a shame, and if Carbondale's economy is dying off, let's just say that it wouldn't be anyone's loss if this place closed down first.
