Pickup Please is joke. I put my belongings out on a Tuesday at 7:00AM. I'm a senior woman and put the belongings out myself. It was 4 kitchen chairs, 2 bags of clothes 1 small box. I waited all day. Called at 3 or 4 pm and the receptionist said she called dispatch and they probably wouldn't be back that day. I told her we checked our camera and the driver came didn't even get out of the car to look at the stuff. Came back on Thursday and threw a " sorry we missed you" with note scribbled saying " arc will take them". So to put it mildly this company is a joke. Don't waste your time and effort. read more

I scheduled a pickup for Tuesday, they didn't show up. I called and they rescheduled for today, and they didn't pick up. When I called, the person on the other line was not overly concerned. I'm taking my donations somewhere else. read more

My friend's father passed away and we had to donate all of his clothing, shoes, and misc items. We were in a hurry to get going and one employee at the Donation Drop-Off was right there to help unload the pick-up truck full of bagged items. I didn't get the male Hispanic employee's name, but would like to thank him for sensing that we were grieving, lost, and in a hurry. He helped us in so many ways and was very touched by his compassion. Thank you and until we meet again. read more

Absolutely worst outfit there is for donation pickup. This is the 3rd time I have been either stood up completely, or Dennis calls to say their driver couldn't find my house and keeps getting stuck in the snow. There is only 1 inch out there. Tells me to reschedule. People take time to load up 15 boxes of items and carry it out to the driveway - VA confirms the pickup the day before then call the day of and say they can't. This has occurred three times over the past 2 years. I am done with Veterans pickup and will take everything to Salvation Army. It is truly sad because I always want to support the Veterans. If you call the 1800 # the female was not kind and did not care, and it would be another month. If you need to get rid of good stuff, just take it somewhere else. Not worth your time to move it in and out because they never show when they say they are going to. read more

I had a pickup scheduled for Tuesday 6/25. I had everything boxed and bagged and few item loose, 2 table lamps and 2 car seats. When the driver arrived he had literally had NO room in the truck. It was packed floor to roof up to the back door. He told us he couldn't take the donations because he had no room for anything and he left. I contacted the company on 6/26 and explained what happened. The gentleman apologized and rescheduled for today, 6/27. Today It appears that the driver took some it the boxes, but left a box of books, the car seats and the lamps. I again contacted the company and another gentleman apologized and told me the soonest another driver could come Is next Tuesday 7/3. I have to be completely out of the home by Sunday so that does me no good. I'm furious. How incompetent this business is! Two separate "pickups" and I still have things that your drivers couldn't pick up. Useless company! read more

They are terrible and the customer service is horrible. I scheduled a pick up a month out. The day of pick up I had everything out by 7 am and labeled with a copy of the confirmation. By 4 pm, they hadn't shown up so I called. They confirmed I was on the list and they had until 5 pm to pickup. I called at 5:30 to ask where they were. The lady I spoke to was extremely rude and said something must have happened and they probably weren't coming. She said she could schedule another pickup - another few weeks out so I said don't bother. I told her they could have told me the first time I called that they weren't coming OR called me at 5 to tell me they couldn't make it. So unprofessional and unacceptable. who read more

They show up on the date/time they say they will, and leave a tax-deductible receipt whether you're home or not. No mess left behind. I've had them come out to pick-up stuff for years; they're the only ones who will come to our area! It's great to know my items, or the money they bring, are going to help veterans who need them.
