I called my clinic and they sent the prescription again. And once again the pharmacy said they hadn't received it. On the surface, it makes more since to review a restaurant or a car mechanic, because quality of food and service at a restaurant vary from place to place. A repair shop with a skilled and honest mechanic is important to find. But a pharmacy? Most people don't give much thought about a pharmacy. They all do the same thing: take your money and give you your pills. Pico Care Pharmacy is different. Each customer is cared for, for their individual needs. In my case, one of my medicines is made by several different generic manufacturers. All but one of the manufacturers causes a rash on my skin. Other pharmacies can't, or are not willing to take that into consideration. They just order from whichever manufacturer gives them the best price. They would sometimes say that those are corporate discussions that they can't do anything about. Pico Care always makes sure they have the right manufacture's brand available for me, even when they have to special order it for just me. The staff is always helpful and willing to listen and discuss the best options and products for your health. Linh is my favorite, but Parth, Uchi, and the others are just as helpful! I'm sorry I don't recall all of their names (I think there is a Jeffrey?). So much nicer than the big corporate experience! read more

When I booked my appointment for a Covid-19 test, I was told it was $40. When I got there, I was told the test I need was $95, that the $40 only tells me if I have the antibodies in my system, not if I have covid or not. Then I'm told I need the $95 test. I told them no thank you, and I was then told there was a $25 cancelation fee. I was never told during the appointment booking process that there was a cancelation fee, and they didn't tell me that the $40 test was in fact not a covid test, but checking for antibodies. Terrible lack of information, easy way for them to make $25. read more

HORRIBLE!! DO NOT USE FOR COVID TESTING!!!! I had to get a rapid covid test for an event. I booked an appointment online on Saturday for Monday. On Sunday, I found a place that does it for free (orange county covid clinic - GO THERE INSTEAD). I tried calling to cancel my appointment on Sunday but they are closed. I sent an email reply to the email address that sent the confirmation. I called first thing in the morning on Monday to confirm the cancellation. They said they didn't get an email and I would get charged a $25 late charge fee. They said they cancelled the appointment and I called again to confirm after getting a reminder email for my upcoming appointment. The lady was rude when i called to confirm the cancellation - she was short with me and quickly hung up saying she cancelled it. Well, I got charged the full $79.99 and its been 2 weeks and now I'm on hold with my bank to dispute the charge. Absolutely ridiculous and unprofessional. I feel like I got scammed. read more

Until now, I'd always gotten my meds at Costco and CVS, where trying to get brand name drugs was like trying to get blood from a stone.  The fact they ALWAYS trying to substitute generics when I specified brand name meds and had zero interest in whether any of them got approved by insurance or not was always a huge frustration to me.  Pico Care is truly a hidden gem in this city!!  The pharmacist there, Parth, is not your garden variety, cookie-cutter pharmacist.  He really cares and goes the extra mile for his patients.  Best of all, when it comes to getting brand medications approved, he is on-point!  He really knows his stuff and the amount of money he saved me is unbelievable (on BRAND name medication that I've struggled in the past to get covered, no less!)  I just wish I'd come here sooner!!  It's not too often you come across a pharmacist who goes as far above and beyond for their patients as he does so he definitely deserves recognition...there are far too few pharmacists like Parth and pharmacies like Pico Care out there.  Pico Care, you have a new customer for life! read more

No one ever plans to be sick on a Friday, when your doctor's office is packed and when most local pharmacies don't have your medications in stock. I visited 3 different pharmacies (Target, CVS, and Walmart) and called about 5 other pharmacies (I can't even remember which ones...I was desperate!) to see if they had an antibiotic in stock. Nobody had the medication in stock anywhere and nobody could get it until the following MONDAY. I can't let my husband suffer for another 3 more days without any treatment...It's an antibiotic, for crying out loud! I finally called Pico Care Pharmacy and was sooooooo grateful that they were able to get an order of my husband's antibiotic the very next day...on a SATURDAY! And they DELIVERED it home! Store was clean. Obviously because it was newly built. However on my pick up was a decent one. It's been 3 months since I've been back for a refill. I left one message to get a call back two days later. On a refill I left all my information and contact number to get back to me. 3 weeks after my first call I still don't have my refill and I was told he would fill out some paper work to help with my co payment and that never happened. And that was when I first picked up my pills 3 months prior to my refill. Yeah so I just let it go. I got to go back to my Dr to get the prescription refilled and go to another pharmacy I guess that's what I get when I try to go to new pharmacy recommended by my doctor would ever happen again. read more
