Every single customer service person I've ever spoken with is helpful and pleasant. Today, Denise went above and beyond to help sort out an insurance issue. Once, they helped get my Rx shipped to a Vintage Trailer resort in Oregon, and helped troubleshoot the delivery issues with FedEx...They are awesome. Yesterday I called to pay for my medicine because someone else would take it for me, but when the person arrived they told her that he needed to pay for it, they called me and told me that there was no payment for my medicine, I left it like that, today morning They call me and tell me that if I'm going to take the medicine that there is a card in the file. They will take the payment when I go to look for it, the lady who is in front tells me that there is no medicine for me, if i had another name, I told her No,she proceed to call the pharmacist, he tells me there is no medicine for you, someone picked it up at the morning they were looking for it until they found ,and the lady tells me, sorry, here is your medicine. They should put someone else with experience who knows what they are doing. read more

I used this pharmacy for years and they WERE very good. Something has changed. Last week, I called in a refill for my thyroid med but never received it. When I called to check status, they said it was shipped and that USPS tracking showed it arrived. It did not! No apologies, no nothing. I had to pay for a second order plus next-day shipping with a different carrier. THAT order never arrived either. The woman on the phone was robotically apologetic as if reading a script, and blamed the delivery service. At the least, she should have offered to cover shipping on the second order. I eventually spoke with a pharmacist who did offer a shipping refund but I decided to cancel the entire order and switch pharmacies. Two screw ups in one week - done. There are many more compounding pharmacies in SoCal now. I'm confident I'll find one that values patients and customer service much more!! UPDATED REVIEW: The pharmacy called to apologize for the delays and problems, which I really appreciate. I decided to give them another try. They have been very professional, easy to reach, have excellent follow-up with my docs and with me AND I now get all my meds on time. That's what patients want and they're delivering. This pharmacy is horrendous. Last month I order medications through their automated dial-in system. A day or two later, I get a phone call telling me the prescriptions are ready to be picked-up. However, when I arrive, I'm told they couldn't fill all of the prescriptions. Why wasn't I informed of this during the phone conversation. Now, this month, I go to pick-up a prescription only to be told the pharmacy is unable to fill it because a particular drug is on back order. Okay, that happens. But, then I'm told I was called and so informed. Unless that call was made in the 1:45 since I'd left the house, it was never placed, or, at least, no message was left when it came in and wasn't answered. For these things to happen is understandable. But, not month after month. Then to add insult to injury, their cost varies wildly. What usually cost me $100/month was $160+ today. When I asked about this the excuse was, "the price is set by your insurance company." Bull! I came home, checked, and sure enough one medication that was $20 set me back $40 this month. This pharmacy is inconsiderate at best and dishonest at worst. Do yourself a favor and seek more competent, reliable, and honest services elsewhere. read more

Do not get your COVID vaccine here. The person administering the vaccine did not change their gloves before giving me the vaccine. Said person was wearing the gloves at the reception area, touching things there, then never changed it when they got to me. Also everyone in the front wears gloves and I have no clue if they are ever chang them after touching everyone's IDs and credit cards. I'd prefer if they just didn't wear gloves and used hand sanitizer in between customers. read more

I have had three negative issues with this pharmacy. I primarily use this pharmacy for compounding medication. My doctor has confidence in their compounding abilities. I live far from them so they mail my prescriptions. The mailing service is a plus for anyone who cannot get around easily or for those who live too far from their location. REVISED 8/22/2011: A week ago. I called in for a refill on a Thursday AM. I was told my prescription did not have any more refills and they'd have to contact my doctor. My bottle read one (1) refill left. I explained I was down to my last few pills and reminded them we were nearing a weekend and requested they get in touch with my doctor quickly to be sure to get the approval. To my dissatisfaction by the following Monday, still no refill in my mail box. I called. I was told my medication was going out the following day, six (6) days later. I asked them to transfer my medication to a local pharmacy. For the record, each time they failed to perform they quickly corrected their errors. I changed their rating from 4 stars to 3 stars after the third incident. read more

Customer service is atrocious. 85% of the time there is an issue with a Rx. They don't ship it, they ship the wrong item, things are missing, etc. NEVER is there an apology for the mistake, or any form of customer appreciation. You can never get someone on the phone that knows what they're doing. I would recommend finding somewhere that is interested in customer service, satisfaction and efficiency. Central Drugs has 2 upsides for me; they so seem reasonably priced compared to a couple of other compounding pharmacies I have priced & they do mail the orders fairly quickly..(that is, when they get them right) Downsides; The more I deal with with this pharmacy the more the mistakes occur that makes me nervous. There seems to be a kind of casual, bored, lack of attention to detail inherent in the staff. ...some kind of contemptuous "office culture" that has developed there that has infected many of the phone support staff. Do they have an Office Manager of some kind? I wonder? ATTENTION TO DETAIL PEOPLE! - LISTEN & DOUBLE CHECK. I once gave my Credit Card number to 2 separate people dealing with my order and I still got a third call saying my credit card did not go through- when I checked, the number I gave was correct - I wonder what happened to the TWO other separate times i gave my card? Did they write it down on a piece of paper and lose it? Don't I have a file? What are they doing down there? This is a detail as important and delicate as any prescription. I have learned to cover every single detail I can think can go wrong with an order with the person I am speaking to and they still manage to come up with mistakes... If I could find another pharmacy with reasonable pricing, I would go to therm. read more

Not happy with this pharmacy. If there was another compounding pharmacy that was close by I would go there instead.

Regularly have difficulty with filling prescriptions here. My first prescription took 6weeks and repeated phone calls. Only once did they process my prescription in less than a week not including shipping time. This last time they sent me the wrong medicine. It was already weeks late. It's even more important to get it right if the customer has to mail their wrong prescriptions back to you when the pharmacy makes a mistake. Try a little harder central drugs. Wait around for the truck, and get called mid afternoon, stating I need to call another place to order it, and basically given the run around.. Bottom line is order not going to be received in time and had to cancel it. If there was a problem, they should have called back Monday and straightened it out, not two days later when it was supposed to arrive. Not impressed at all. read more

Rarely have I encountered such fumbling incompetence. A telephoned order to refill 3 prescriptions was accepted and the delivery address confirmed. Two weeks later, after no medicine, an inquiry was greeted by the acknowledgement that nothing had been sent, no reason given. Out of medicine, a request for express mail triggered a demand for $10 in additional cost. This was waived after I pointed out that the delay was due to their error. When the meds arrived, a separate invoice showed I had been charged $15 for the express delivery! read more
