This place is ideal after a long beach day! On the patio there is a nice view of the beach and water. We ordered bruschetta and pizza to share between 4 people and it was nice and light. I think the best pizzas I've ever had, even better than pizza in Italy, my favourite flavours are the smoked salmon one which has baked massive capers about the size of a dime and boy they do not skimp on the smoked salmon...... Here's how it began. The day was exceptionally hot - 28-29 degrees - but not very humid, so if you had shade, it was fine. If you were in the sun, then ... run for the sunscreen. A nice pizza under a patio umbrella seemed just the thing, and this one looks out onto the waterfront. All the tables were conveniently placed in shaded locations --- all but two, two-seaters. Our busy hostess was so obliging and courteous, but she said that she could only offer us a table in the sun, and we agreed. We sat there, waiting for our order, the blazing sun reflecting off the white pavement. Soon, we just stopped talking, because the heat was getting oppressive. I asked the hostess if she could please move us when a free table in the shade appeared, but apparently this was not possible. After we ordered, I felt terribly overheated in the blazing sun, so I ran to the car and got the sunscreen. I was a bit too late. My goodness, even my eyelids are burned by the sun. I wanted to take some stars off this review for that, but ... These are difficult times, and we must be patient. The pizza arrived and, my goodness, this was great. I had the Masa Caprese, basically a caprese salad on a pizza crust. The crust, which I ordered well done, was perfect: crispy, with those lovely, flavourful burned bits on the cornicione (that ridge of crust which surrounds a good neapolitan-style pizza). I am disappointed in the Muskoka pizza that I ordered as take out. Crust was burnt too much, and the pizza wasn't the same as the picture on their website. My pizza was supposed to come with Basil on top but it didn't have it. It costs $19, it wasn't worth paying for this. I hope that we can get a better one next time. read more

I'm torn between 3 and 4 stars, and I'm rating this place at 4, based on the location and the service. The food, at times, leaves much to be desired for - the place has potential, but the food is just ok. The so called pies, are pretty much regular pizzas. The charcuterie board is rather mediocre. One of my main qualms about some of the dishes, is an absolute overuse of balsamic vinegar - half of the quantity used, would suffice just fine :) I've been there twice, and I know I will go again, because there is nothing else with a waterfront patio, and the place is priced right. read more

The cheese and meat board had great cheese selection and I very much liked the sopressata and prochuitto. However. the last meat was like a deli ham which was disappointing. I had a wonderful time with some friends at this restaurant last night. We were able to try a number of dishes because of the barrielicious food festival going on. This event was such a great deal, for $25 we got a choice of virtually every appetizer, main course and dessert on the menu and every course was wonderful. I had the calamari while my party had the wings and the artichoke dip, all were very generously sized full portions, and it was all delicious. The wings were especially notable in this Rosemary honey sauce. Everyone loved these. For the next course I had the pepperoni plus pizza and my party had the porky pie and a pasta. Again the portions are large and the taste was perfect. It's a thin crust with fresh tasting toppings. The menu has a lot of really creative pizzas and I think anyone would be able to find something that entices them, even non-pizza lovers. For the dessert course, I had a dessert pizza slice which had Nutella, banana and ice cream toppings-it was delicious. My party all had kawartha dairy ice cream as their dessert and we were all very happy and stuffed once the bill arrived. The service was prompt and polite, not particularly outstanding but for a casual place like this it was just fine. The restaurant itself is great, kind of a bar-like setting with a great patio that overlooks the water. It's set a bit back in a plaza but it's still lovely. It took us quite a trip to get to this place from downtown Toronto. When we got there, we saw a beautiful view of the lake. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. We ordered salty balls appetizer - it was delicious, highly recommended! we also ordered the Muskoka pie pizza, and it was totally delicious! Not only were there very minimal toppings actually on the pizza, there was no flavor and the crust was hard as a rock. And yes, gluten free/ dairy free pizzas can be VERY tasty, if done right. K, I really, really liked this pizza joint! It's on the waterfront, what more can you ask for?! Well, lots actually but a pizza place on the water front is pretty sweet IMO. I visited on August 11, 2016 and ordered a za for take out with some girlfriends. We asked to be seated because we wanted a brew while we waited. The menu hit us in the face and, being so tempted by their options, we ordered the salty balls. Best. Decision. Ever. The bacon and the Parmesan cheese went perfectly with these dough balls. I have no idea what that sauce was on the side but holy smokes. Spoon all of that into my mouth, please. We looked over at our neighbours plates and man, their pasta sizing was decent. I asked for the porky pie to go and subbed the prosciutto for smoked duck for a small cost. It was too good. I still think about this pizza and will continue to think about it for a long time to come. Because of this, I've contemplated all the things I can make with smoked duck. The pizzas here are from a firewood oven and the crust is made thin, which is good if you're getting the all you can eat pizza option for $16 cause a single order of pizza is the same price. Our table of 9 tried 10 pizzas so we for anything from smoked salmon, veggies, meats, etc. Overall, the price was right and the pizzas are very creative, but some of our pizzas didn't have a lot of toppings or there's many slices that only had a small amount or none of the main ingredient so you couldn't taste the flavors too well besides the cheese. I'm not crazy about the salty balls. It's fried round dough with a dipping sauce. There was a tomato topping on the balls that only made it on a few of them.
