So I've been seeing the same endocrinologist for about 4 years and have been generally unsatisfied the whole time. So I decided to seek out a new one. After doing my research and getting some crap over the phone from my first choice, I decided to give Piedmont Endocrinology a try. I called and was greeted by a very friendly receptionist. She advised of a recent cancellation and could squeeze me in the following Friday - perfect! She told me I would be seeing Dr. El-Kebbi. I arrived 30 minutes prior to my scheduled appointment to complete all of the new patient paperwork. After I was done, friendly receptionist called me up to the window to advise me that Dr. El-Kebbi was a few minutes behind schedule, but I was his next patient. She apologized for the delay and I went back to playing Jewel Mania. I'm usually super super anal about being on time. Maybe I'm just jaded now because I'm convinced that no doctor is ever on time, but I at least appreciated the fact that she took the time to tell me that he was running a little late. With previous doctors, most just let you sit there until you realize your appointment was supposed to be 45 minutes ago. So 5 or 10 minutes later, I'm called back. I'm taken to an exam room by a super friendly guy who's name escapes me. He also apologizes for the delay and emphasizes that Dr. El-Kebbi really doesn't like being late. We go over some basic info and he advises that the Doc will be in a moment. Let me first say that my previous doctor was a bit standoffish. Nice enough, just didn't seem overly personable or concerned. I experienced the complete opposite with Dr. El-Kebbi. He was warm and friendly and very interested in my medical care. He provided valuable insights into certain aspects of my medical care that I feel were lacking with my previous doctor. I honestly felt like I was speaking with a friend the whole time. There was one awkward moment when he seemed to fail to understand how I could be so certain that I would not be getting pregnant, but we got through that. It's quite funny in retrospect. The whole appointment went exactly how I feel a doctor's appointment should go. I'm almost (but not quite) willing to overlook the tardiness, but we'll see how that goes in future visits. I highly highly recommend Dr. El-Kebbi to anyone in the market for a new endocrinologist. read more

Needed a new endo and needed to see them quick. Once I explained my situation to the front desk receptionist at PPE, she was able to find me an appointment only one month out instead of three months out. Service. I arrived for my appointment on Wednesday. Not the greatest drive from Marietta, but worth it. Dr. Patel is my new favorite endo ever. She's young, up to date on the latest research on Thyroid health, and spent real, quality time with me going over my chart and medical history. I was in and out in about an hour (even as a new patient) - including labs. The lab technicians were friendly, quick and painless as was the check out process. Overall, I'm very pleased! read more

Dr. Imad El Kebbi is the best!! He is polite, a good listener, compassionate, sincere in his work, I got back my health after taking his prescription. He pays attention to all my concerns, no airs and graces. And it is easy to reach him on phone or mychart portal. It was never so convenient before. I absolutely recommend this doctor. They have very good staff, all of them are warm and friendly. Don't have to wait much to get appointment, convenient portal to reach out to doctor. read more

I could not be happier with Dr. Jennifer Gilligan. I have had DMT2 since 2008. My PCP did what he could but I've not always been the most compliant patient. He finally decided I needed the services of an endocrinologist and referred me to Dr. Gilligan. COVID-19 pushed my appointment out but I finally got in to see her yesterday. I was a bundle of nerves, but Tiffany at the front desk calmed me down immediately. When I finally met Dr. Gilligan, it was like a dream come true. I felt like I was talking to a friend! She doesn't just treat the condition, she treats you holistically - body, mind, soul and spirit. She was amazing. I wish I had started seeing her sooner. She went over my medications, made a change or two, and answered all of my questions. She did not rush through the appointment at all. I felt so cared for. I've already booked with her in three months. I HIGHLY recommend her to anyone who wants a medical professional who *listens* to you and works with you. I was so happy I cried. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME!!! I scheduled a New-Patient appointment for my husband who is a diabetic, and although he is happy with his current doctor, she is closing her practice. Unfortunately when we arrived, we were 11 minutes late to their office. This was due to my husband being handicapped and feeling sick from his diabetes.... When I signed in, I told them that his sugars were averaging 350 and higher with insulin, that he is a heart patient and currently has a C-2 neck fracture, which has him in a neck brace & wheelchair. Not missing a beat, they immediately told me he could not be seen due to our arrive time. I was then told (after waiting 10-12 minutes for them to check) it would be July 30th (over a month) before their next opening. What was really upsetting, is despite explaining his condition, the office could have cared less!! NO ONE ASKED IF HE WAS OKAY or even looked over the counter. SHAME ON YOU ALL!!!! I find it utterly disgusting that a medical practice dealing with diabetics could be so uncaring. Don't bother trusting such a practice with your loved one. I'll take my husband to a practice that cares.... I will pass this experience on to all his other doctors. read more
