Great customer service! I read some of the reviews before coming to the office for the first time. They are mixed, so I had some reservations. But people are more likely to leave a review for bad experiences than good ones, so I thought I'd give them a chance. And I'm so glad I did! The front desk staff was kind and helpful. I did my registration beforehand and they were able to pull everything up and get me signed in with practically zero check-in time. Wait time (a): I arrived about 10 minutes early for my appointment, as requested and did not have to wait long at all before being called back by the Medical Assistant. The MA was very polite in conversation and gave considerate care during testing, some of which has been painful in other offices. However she was calm and careful and discomfort was minimal. My only observation was that despite being polite, they did seem to be in a rush and sometimes I wasn't able to share everything I wanted to say. Although, this is probably not their fault, they have many patients to care for in a timely manner. EDIT: Shout out to Branata!! Okay I take back what I said, Branata was amazing. She had a great bedside manner and we even shared a couple laughs. Give her a raise please! XD My CNP Shaterra Davis was fantastic as well. She was very polite, patient and helpful. She took time to listen, address all of my questions, and explain things in detail. Of course, great bedside manner as we shared laughs as well. Give her a raise too. XD Wait time (b): There was a little bit of wait time after being seen by the provider but nothing out of the ordinary, and honestly I didn't mind the wait at all as it gave me time to collect my questions/concerns. I am posting this review to warn other patients based on my experience at Piedmont Immediate Care in Conyers, GA on December 30, 2025. I arrived with my daughter seeking urgent medical care while I was in significant pain. At check-in, the front desk staff informed me that I would be required to pay over $500 out of pocket just to be seen, and that I would also need to leave my card on file for additional charges, before any medical evaluation. This immediately raised concern, as my insurance clearly lists an urgent care copay of $50. When I questioned the amount and asked that they verify my benefits with my insurance company, the staff member refused and insisted the $500+ payment was required due to my deductible -- without verification. Because I would not agree to an excessive, unverified upfront charge, we were forced to leave without receiving care. As a result, I was left in severe pain throughout the New Year holiday, simply because the facility refused to verify insurance benefits and instead demanded payment based on assumptions. In my opinion, this practice places patients in a coercive financial position at a time when they are medically vulnerable. I have since filed a formal grievance with my insurance provider regarding what I believe to be improper billing practices and a constructive denial of care. I strongly encourage anyone visiting this location to: * Ask for written verification of charges * Insist on insurance benefit verification * Be cautious about large upfront payment demands Patients should not have to choose between enduring pain or paying hundreds of dollars without confirmation of coverage. UPDATE - January 2, 2026 at approximately 2:30 PM After my initial experience, I called Piedmont Immediate Care - Conyers on January 2 at approximately 2:30 PM to seek clarification and to speak with a supervisor regarding the excessive upfront charge I was quoted. During that call, the staff member stated that because my deductible had not been met, my urgent care copay was "not applicable." I explained that this explanation does not align with how urgent care benefits typically function under my insurance plan and reiterated my request to speak with a supervisor for clarification. Once again, I was not allowed to speak with a supervisor, and my concerns were dismissed without escalation. This follow-up interaction further reinforced my concerns regarding: * Improper explanation of insurance benefits * Refusal to escalate to supervisory staff * Lack of transparency and accountability Patients deserve clear, accurate information and access to supervisory review--especially when being asked to pay hundreds of dollars upfront. Based on my experience, this location repeatedly failed to provide that. I am documenting this update so other patients are fully informed before seeking care here. read more

*****BE AWARE OF LOCATION PRICING*****This location is an absolute money scam. I went in for a check up to see what was wrong because I had felt awful. I had no fever and they administered a strep test that was $60 and another test called INF AGT RESP 3-5 TARGETS for $230. They did both of these tests when there was no fever at all. The lack of fever could have ruled out the administration of both of these tests. They take advantage of the poor and vulnerable. Do not ever go here. I had been here twice and the time before that they had done testing and never sent my results but still charged me. Quality of care was poor. Waited for hours, and spoke with a doctor who was rude. My experience: Conyers Georgia Location. Visit 9/11/20 I must say the best thing during my experience, was the two ladies at the front desk. They were very kind and courteous and well mannered. The Nurse practitioner (D Atkinson) on the other hand was horrible. If I knew, I wasn't seeing  an actual doctor, I would have waited. Before heading to the Conyers Location, I called to check things out. I was told it would be an hour wait.  Needless to say , I was there for three hours and the last to leave. Noticeably saw people come in after me but leave before me. I guess it depends on the urgency, but why not tell me that? Anyways, The first thing that kind of irritated my soul was , they made me put a form of payment on file in addition to the insurance co pay just in case my insurance didn't pay for the visit. OK , no big deal done! Never experienced that before. So my experience with this unprofessional NP. She stormed into the room and says "are you both being swabbed? My spouse and I looked at each other in disbelief. This means you didn't look at my chart before you came into the room, you didn't address me, you didn't introduce yourself , that really irritated my soul. I proceeded to let her know I was there for a cough. This lady look like she been up for three days straight. She looked as if she just got out of bed, very unkept and very unprofessional. She proceeded to tell us that her mom was at the airport waiting for her, so I knew it would be a rush visit. She proceeded to tell me that she saw 90 people today for Covid testing which I really didn't care, I wanted to know what was going on with this cough that I have. As I explained my symptoms to her, she was a listening ear until I mention the fact that I smoke hookah occasionally. Her reaction was priceless! She threw her hands up in the air. And said "I'm done! this is the reason you're having your issue! I'll prescribe you some cough medicine, a steroid and a Z pack, I'll be right back with your prescription " and walked out the room! She never touched me, she didn't listen to my lungs, checked my breathing or anything. I was so upset. And when she returned to the room, I think she knew it because she was trying to be extra nice. I realized she prescribed me things im not even sure I should take. It was like she was guessing. How can you give a even close diagnosis without even listening to my lungs or asking me to breathe or any of those things? Upon leaving I realized that we were the last ones there. All the lights were out and everything. I'm so furious I just want to go home at this point. I pull up in front of my driveway to view my paperwork and noticed that my temperature was 97.6 and my pulse was 88. I'm not sure who stats  these are but they aren't mine because she didn't do anything but talk and shame me. I am so annoyed with this I will never return to any urgent care again. 1/05/2023 I went here for a Papsmere and Health test. The receptionists are rude and unfriendly. I placed an appointment even though it's an urgent care walk in center for 7pm. They called me to come in early for me to wait an hour. The pediatrician lacks empathy and bedside assistance. Didn't give me any follow up tips about my aftercare. She was annoyed I asked her educational questions. Don't waste your time! Get a real doctor! read more

I just had a horrible experience at the Conyers location. I came into the location and was told that it was no power. The person that came out to tell me was very nasty. I mentioned that maybe you guys should put that on the website that the location was not operating to save people the trouble. What if I had a medical emergency? This was not acceptable. Idk what these other fools are talking about haha but every single visit I've had has been quicker than any urgent care I have been to even faster than when I used to have Kaiser (Kaiser Sucks!). As far as my experience goes, the staff has always been nice and manages to make me laugh and feel a little better even when I feel like absolute crap. The only issue I do have is getting in contact with them via phone call I can imagine their hotline is extremely busy though. read more

I actually came to the facility because I was exposed to a co-worker who tested positive for covid-19. I was placed in a waiting room, waited close to 3 hours, and was called on my cell phone and told I had tested negative for Covid-19. What's crazy is the fact that, I opened the examination door and said to the woman on the phone that - NO ONE HAS EVEN TESTED ME YET! I PAID $175.00 FOR YOU FOLKS TO WAIST MY DAY AND GIVE ME FALSE RESULTS! The three women at the desk looked at one another and an employee came in 15 to 20 min later to test me. I asked for rapid test results, but I had to call 4 hours later to get my results. The clinic said I tested negative, but now my wife has tested positive and I think it's because of me and the incompetent staff at this facility! If I could give no stars I would. The virtual visit was amazing but coming to the actual testing site was very unprofessional. I sat for a whole hour when I had a scheduled appt for rapid Covid test. No one said anything to me but was quick to get my money and still had to wait 40 mins b4 I even was swab. Then sat again with no one saying anything to me! Never coming back! I had an appointment to have a Covid test done, again I had an appointment, therefore I was not a walk-in. When I arrived, they told me I needed to wait in my car and they would call me when they were ready for me to go to a room. Well I was in my car for about an hour and a half before receiving a phone call. That's ridiculous to expect someone to wait in their car in 80-something degree weather for that length of time. Once I'm called to go into a room, there was still a 30 minute process after getting the test and waiting for the results. So I spent two hours there just to get a Covid test and my results. After the physician assistant came in to tell me my results, I told her that was all I needed and didn't need any further examination because it had already been two hours and I needed to leave. She apologized for the delay, said they were behind, and let me go instead of continuing to examine me. I then received a phone call two days later stating that my results were never entered, and if I knew my results. I was like what?!! I was told they were negative at the urgent care, but now I'm second guessing because they have no documentation entered for it. Thankfully I was tested at work yesterday and was given negative results. As soon as I got off of the phone with the physician assistant who claimed nothing was entered, I got an email that I had results in Mychart. I have no clue if they entered what I told them or if they actually found my true testing documentation. I will not be patronizing this location again. From the 2 hour appointment wait time to getting a phone call saying they didn't know my results because they weren't entered even though I was told I was negative is not a way to handle business. read more

Terribly unprofessional and unpleasant front desk. Incompetent to say the LEAST. I really don't want to go into detail with a long post because I've already written one on google but if you can avoid going here.... please stay away. They suck ass. sorry but that's the truth. I've unfortunately had to take my daughter there multiple times because everyone else is busy and her primary doctor never has sick appointments anymore. every single time we have gone it's been issue after issue. I mean how tf hard is it to get organized at the front. literally have worked front desks for years and I've never seen anything like this. they do not care about people just their paycheck. the doctors and nurses have a little better attitude..... but never seem to be invested in really helping. I've waited 30 m in the rooms and had to go find the doctor myself before!! then he spent 2 minutes and left. what was worse is he and the nurses were standing outside our room for 5 minutes laughing and joking around bsing around not talking about work even... and making us wait 30 m with a sick child in that room!!! like wtf are you even doing. then I opened the door and stuck my head out and they scattered.... of course he came in after that and rushed us out. this place is literally a joke. read more

I arrived at the Urgent care approximately at 1o'clock. As I walked in, they handed me a registration paper. I had to scan the QR code to complete the registration. This process this took approximately 10 minutes. On the bottom of the paper it states as they receive your registration they will call you in. As minutes turned into hours I called to see if they got my registration they said they did not. I proceeded to walk in and ask why. So I eventually applied again and they said they received it this time. I called back in to confirm that I was registered in on the waiting list, they proceeded to block my number and ignore my calls so I had to use a different number to call up there. As I used the different number they called the previous phone number and called me in. I waited in the waiting center approximately one hour. Just for them to turn me around and tell me to go to the emergency room. This whole ordeal took four hours. Horrible customer service would not recommend to anyone!!!
