    Great customer service!…read more I read some of the reviews before coming to the office for the first time. They are mixed, so I had some reservations. But people are more likely to leave a review for bad experiences than good ones, so I thought I'd give them a chance. And I'm so glad I did! The front desk staff was kind and helpful. I did my registration beforehand and they were able to pull everything up and get me signed in with practically zero check-in time. Wait time (a): I arrived about 10 minutes early for my appointment, as requested and did not have to wait long at all before being called back by the Medical Assistant. The MA was very polite in conversation and gave considerate care during testing, some of which has been painful in other offices. However she was calm and careful and discomfort was minimal. My only observation was that despite being polite, they did seem to be in a rush and sometimes I wasn't able to share everything I wanted to say. Although, this is probably not their fault, they have many patients to care for in a timely manner. EDIT: Shout out to Branata!! Okay I take back what I said, Branata was amazing. She had a great bedside manner and we even shared a couple laughs. Give her a raise please! XD My CNP Shaterra Davis was fantastic as well. She was very polite, patient and helpful. She took time to listen, address all of my questions, and explain things in detail. Of course, great bedside manner as we shared laughs as well. Give her a raise too. XD Wait time (b): There was a little bit of wait time after being seen by the provider but nothing out of the ordinary, and honestly I didn't mind the wait at all as it gave me time to collect my questions/concerns. Overall 5/5 urgent care facility. I will likely return for any future health needs.

    I am posting this review to warn other patients based on my experience at Piedmont Immediate Care…read morein Conyers, GA on December 30, 2025. I arrived with my daughter seeking urgent medical care while I was in significant pain. At check-in, the front desk staff informed me that I would be required to pay over $500 out of pocket just to be seen, and that I would also need to leave my card on file for additional charges, before any medical evaluation. This immediately raised concern, as my insurance clearly lists an urgent care copay of $50. When I questioned the amount and asked that they verify my benefits with my insurance company, the staff member refused and insisted the $500+ payment was required due to my deductible -- without verification. Because I would not agree to an excessive, unverified upfront charge, we were forced to leave without receiving care. As a result, I was left in severe pain throughout the New Year holiday, simply because the facility refused to verify insurance benefits and instead demanded payment based on assumptions. In my opinion, this practice places patients in a coercive financial position at a time when they are medically vulnerable. I have since filed a formal grievance with my insurance provider regarding what I believe to be improper billing practices and a constructive denial of care. I strongly encourage anyone visiting this location to: * Ask for written verification of charges * Insist on insurance benefit verification * Be cautious about large upfront payment demands Patients should not have to choose between enduring pain or paying hundreds of dollars without confirmation of coverage. UPDATE - January 2, 2026 at approximately 2:30 PM After my initial experience, I called Piedmont Immediate Care - Conyers on January 2 at approximately 2:30 PM to seek clarification and to speak with a supervisor regarding the excessive upfront charge I was quoted. During that call, the staff member stated that because my deductible had not been met, my urgent care copay was "not applicable." I explained that this explanation does not align with how urgent care benefits typically function under my insurance plan and reiterated my request to speak with a supervisor for clarification. Once again, I was not allowed to speak with a supervisor, and my concerns were dismissed without escalation. This follow-up interaction further reinforced my concerns regarding: * Improper explanation of insurance benefits * Refusal to escalate to supervisory staff * Lack of transparency and accountability Patients deserve clear, accurate information and access to supervisory review--especially when being asked to pay hundreds of dollars upfront. Based on my experience, this location repeatedly failed to provide that. I am documenting this update so other patients are fully informed before seeking care here.

After being told by my new employer that Concentra would most likely not be able to get me in and out within an hour, I looked up the location by Yelp. The reviews scared me a bit, due to negative customer reviews and long wait times. I decided to go on a Saturday. The location was open from 10-3, so I came at 9:30am. At 9:50, 4 patients had already lined up. By 10, 4 others had shown up. Jalyssa greeted us kindly at the door. She stated to sign in and she would call us up. She was very nice and handled the very busy situation perfectly. She stayed calm and was respectful to everyone. After a 1.5 hr wait, I was finally called back. The wait was due to the amount of patients ahead of me and the clinic only having 1 front desk, 2 medical assistants, and 1 doctor on staff. Raymond began taking my stats. He was very kind and cheerful, despite the busy morning. As I was waiting to take my drug screening in the lab area, Richard (the other medical assistant) walked by and greeted me. I thought it was very nice that he acknowledged me and spoke to me. After the drug screening, I was escorted to my room. Dr. Henderson finished my physical. He was very nice and very quick. My overall impression of the location was that it was clean, well kept, great staff, but short-staffed. It took 2 hours to complete my visit.

She changed the dose on one of my medications, which was fine, but when I needed a refill - nothing. I called a week before I was out and got no response. My pharmacy called twice, I called the office five times over the next two weeks, left four messages, sent two messages through MyChart, and the only one that would respond was the office manager. I had a KIDNEY TRANSPLANT in October and was not able to get my medication. I finally received a call back from a nurse TODAY - almost a month after I tried to get my refill - to tell me that NP Ade wouldn't prescribe it and I needed to call my old - and unavailable - PCP to refill it, despite Ade changing the dose. I'd already moved on to another practice and had my medication refilled through them with zero hassle, making her phone call almost funny. These people have no sense of urgency, will not respond to you even when you beg, no communication skills even within their own practice, and will leave you high and dry after major life changing surgery. Ade's license should be revoked and the medical director that keeps her employed should be ashamed of themself

After faxing the requested forms, I was told they did not receive them. I then drove for over an hour to deliver the forms personally to the front desk on Friday, Jan 27, 2023. It is now Feb 1st, I finally got someone to answer the phone so that I could find out why the records have not been transferred. After researching they determined they did not have the forms that I personally handed to them. Did they just throw them away? These forms have our SS # on them which is a security risk. Very dissappointed and I would not recommend this office to anyone. Some good doctors but very poor management by Peidmont.

    I have been going to Internal Medicine Associates of Rockdale for approximately 2.5 years…read more Recently during my last appointment they asked me to sign the notice of privacy practices which gives the doctors consent to release my medical information to anyone they choose to. After reading over their practices, they note the ways they may or may not use your medical information. In their notice, it indicates that "you have the right to request that we restrict how we use protected health information about you and your treatment...." and they are not required to agree to this request but if reasonable, they would honor this agreement. I have always requested to sign this form on a limited basis asking that doctors only share my information with my insurance carrier and any governmental agency if required by law. To date, all of the doctors have honored my request except Internal Medicine Associates of Rockdale. They would not see me unless I signed this form giving them blanket authorization to release my medical information. Needless to say, I did not sign the form as I did not have any warm and fuzzy feeling about this office anyway so I requested my medical records. They told me it would take a week to prepare the records and asked if I wanted them mailed or if I wanted to pick them up. I told them I did not want my medical records mailed; again, I did not want my medical records in the hands of a stranger (the post office.) I asked them to call me and I would pick them up. With no regard for my request, they mailed the medical records anyway. Just to note some additional reasons why I am in search of a new doctor: What medical office in this day and age do not give you a courtesy call to advise you of your appointment. I was scheduled an appointment almost one month out as the doctor was booked and vacationing this particular month. I thought that the appointment was on a Thursday but it was really on a Tuesday. Needless to say, I missed the appointment. I will give the office credit, they did not charge me for a missed appointment but I was disappointed that they would not even provide a courtesy call, especially when the appointment was scheduled one month earlier. I scheduled a 2nd appointment and again no courtesy call. This just isn't a courtesy that is extended to their patients. When I go to the office, there is always a long wait which I can never quite understand as the lobby is usually empty. Finally, I do not find the staff to be very friendly or accommodating. They don't even greet you when you walk in the door! With this being said, there are plenty of doctors who would treat me as a valued patient with dignity and respect and I am off to find one!
