Very expensive, taste wasn't worth the price. A single slice of pie is $5.00. We tried three different slices. Apple, German Chocolate and a pumpkin one. I tried 3 different types and flavors of pies from PIEfection at a catered event (spread over the evening, I didn't eat them all at the same time, lol!). These pies are truly a work of art, they are so delicious, unique and handmade, and of course, it is a local small business and that is always worth supporting. Everyone else seemed to love them too. Sadly the two slices we purchased today for Pi day are now in The trash. The flavors were extremely artificial- seemed Iike too much gelatin - which made the texture horrible. I've never had a bad pie from the Mesa store. Can't say that about Queen Creek shop. Bought a "TV dinner" (chicken pot and apple pies), mini double crust peach pie, and a slice of French silk. The TV dinner was good and, surprisingly, just the right size for two. The French silk was amazing - so chocolatey and creamy with a perfectly flakey crust - although it's so rich that I don't think I would ever buy a whole pie. Finally, the mini peach pie: the filling was good, but seemed light on content; the crust was unacceptable. Both top and bottom crusts were about 1/4" thick each and lacked any similarity to flakey. Might have called it shortbread if it had more flavor. The employee failed to give us the discount for the TV dinner. No coupons exist, but I thought the email I received meant I'd get that discount. I guess it's my responsibility to remind the employee. read more

Needed a last minute cheesecake for an impromptu birthday themed dessert. I had never gone to a PIEfection so didn't know what to expect. I went to the Ellsworth location and was very impressed. They have a large stock of pie in the coolers as well as prepping whatever you order on site. No on line orders. Just go in and get it. The cheesecake was a hit. Wow, what an amazing dinner and dessert spot! Those pies were huge and so tasty. We loved the Chicken Pot Pie and the Dark Chocolate Silk Pie - the chicken was perfectly seasoned and there was tons of it. That silk pie was dreamy - so soft and creamy, we could've eaten a whole other one! If youre not sure what to order, the service staff is helpful in making your choice. Went to the Queen Creek location today. Very small lobby and very warm. Not very many pies available. My husband loves coconut cream pie and was his birthday . I was told that it would be at least 10 minutes so they could prepare. I was ok with that. Went to Hobby Lobby across the street . When I returned 20 or so minutes later pie was ready. When I got home refrigerated the pie until this afternoon. We were very disappointed with the texture, the taste . Was not the quality pie that we are used to purchasing . We have gone to the Mesa location many times and no problems with the variety of pies from their location in Mesa. We also received free today a slice of Boston cream pie It was PIEfections birthday . And that was absolutely awful don't know what is going on with there pies....awful ! Never used to be. Went with 2 friends and have only heard rave reviews about the pies, and they wanted to buy some for home in Tucson. I purchased a slice of apple and the first bite WAS 1,0000% PURE SUGAR, icky SWEET. My friend asked me what I thought ??? I said YUK !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and spat the piece out into a kleenex. I then ordered the small blueberry pie and the girl behind the counter said it won't be that sweet. WRONG!, it = VERY sickening sweet. I gave it to a homeless person that was begging. My question is why do you make your pies so damn sweet where you canNOT taste the fruit ?? My friend said you gotta try the orange pie, and I took a small piece and again told him ...a sugar rush !! I CAN'T. Most businesses are cutting back in so many ways, why don't you cut back on the sugar and see the savings and profit your company would earn.
