I got my boyfriend a box of sweet treats for Father's Day from rise up and we are obsessed. I picked a variety of treats that our family has been sharing: *a ginger snap cookie that was so soft and had the best flavor *a cinnamon roll that tasted like heaven *a brownie caramel cookie bar that was decadent *the dubai bar that while a little drier than I'd prefer, had a great pistachio mix to chocolate ratio * lemon bar = drooling... sooo yummy! Not to sweet, not too tart! * nut cinnamon roll was the first thing my boyfriend grabbed. We heated it up for a little bit and it was amazing!! * peanut butter rice crispy marshmallow bar = yumniness!! * I didn't even get to try the cookie that had pretzels in it- it was so good that he didn't even save me a bite The girl that helped me get everything together and boxed up on Saturday around 1 was so sweet and patient as it was my first time in and I was mesmerized by all the delicious treats to choose from! Rise Up is sure to put a smile on your face: quality breads, pastries (cakes, cupcakes, etc) and sandwiches, bright decor and very friendly service. They sometimes sell out of their croissant wheels, so we had to get one: croissant consistency shaped into a circle with filling and glaze. When you cut into the raspberry lemon, the so-named filling oozes out... decadence on a plate. They also had a pistachio and chocolate one, and others. Somewhat similar to cronuts but less flaky. At $9.50, I'm good for awhile! We also tried the soft lemon blueberry cinnamon roll which also came in several different flavors. Their sandwich bread is also quality; we enjoy the honey whole wheat. They have a rewards card to buy 10 loaves of bread (or challah, sweet bread) and get 1 free. They also donate their leftover goods at the end of the day to a homeless shelter. This is hands down the best bakery in the valley! Every single item I've tried has been absolutely amazing. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted by the kindest, most welcoming staff, which makes the whole experience even better. There's such a wide variety of delicious treats to choose from that it's hard to pick a favorite. Personally, I love the sugar cookies--they have the perfect level of sweetness. My daughter can't get enough of the mint brownie, and my husband always asks me to bring home one of their coffee cake loaves. Beyond those favorites, they offer an incredible selection of cupcakes, croissants, cookies, cinnamon buns, and so much more. Anytime we have visitors, this is one of the first places I take them. Beautiful baked goods! My favorite was the raspberry apple cinnamonroll. The frosting was delicious! I wish I had more of it! The cheesecake was really rich and the cookie was okay. Super cute for valentines but I wouldn't say it was the best sugar cookie I have ever had. I would definitely try a different cookie if I go another time. I wish this place also made drinks. Like pretty coffee drinks or even sweet teas. They just have bottled drinks and there is a coffee maker. I think it would help elevate this business. Excellent bakery that has a wide selection of options from fresh bread, cupcakes, cheesecakes to wheels. Their wheels are probably the most unique thing they have as I don't often see these type of pastries at bakeries. The cinnamon rolls are drenched with frosting which I loved. I thought the chocolate chip cookie was very mediocre and didn't enjoy it. I got the whole wheat and honey bread which was great. I also had the pumpkin spice wheel which was good but a little too filling for me! Next time I go I hope to try the apple chai roll as it looked delicious. Dropped by this bakery recently to pick up a few items as a surprise, to take over to a friend's house. We weren't exactly sure what they liked so we decided to go with a whole variety of delicious goods. On this visit we decided to get butter croissants, crookies, snickerdoodles, classic cinnamon rolls, cream brulee croissant wheels, and two California club sandwiches on a sub roll. Out of all the items, our top three favorites would have to be the butter croissant, cream brulee croissant wheel and the California club. The butter croissants were crispy on the outside with a soft center, and not too flakey, which we liked. However, they weren't as buttery as we were hoping they would be. The cream brulee croissant wheel was surprisingly not too sweet which we appreciated and we also really loved how unique it was. The California club was bigger than we thought it'd be and that sub roll bread gave a nice subtle sweet contrast to the savoriness of the meats. Overall, service was friendly, patient and kind. Stopped by yesterday afternoon at 6:30pm since they closed at 7pm. We walked in and the workers were already putting most of the pastries away..... We quickly felt and saw that they weren't too happy that we walked in 30 minutes before closing... and the lady that was putting the front pastries way had a RBF going on. Our orders were going to be simple and yet another customer still walked in after us..... My friend ordered a peach cinnamon roll and a rasberry filled pastry. I ordered separately and got two butter croissants, another rasberry pastry, and a chocolate chip oatmeal cookie. My total was $23 with tip and the whole interaction was quick and only took 5 minutes... We were looking to eat inside but were then too scared to get scolded so we sat outside as we still had 25 mins left until they closed. The pastries were allll really good. My friend wanted a cinnamon roll so we stopped by this place 30 minutes before closing. The employees made it sooo obvious they were unhappy we walked in 30 mins before their closing time at 7pm. I set out this morning to a bakery that was supposed to be known for cinnamon rolls. I arrived to find they didn't open till 10. That was odd to me as a bakery. So I googled another one and found @rise.up.bakery and wow!!!! The service was amazing! I think I was talking to the owner and I am mad I didn't get her name. She walked me through all the stuff and I ended up getting way more than I needed. The crème brûlée croissant was so good! It had the hard candy top and nice cream center, the croissant was extremely fresh. I then got the crookie which is the croissant with the choc chip cookie on top. Ended with 2 regular cinnamon rolls and she tossed in an orange cinnamon roll since it was a little smaller and she didn't want to sell it. Not only was the location awesome but she also donates all the leftovers each day so nothing goes to waste or is reused. I highly recommend this spot and I give it a 5/5. read more

We stopped by after school, hoping to try the croissant wheel we've been seeing foodies rave about on Instagram. Thankfully, they still had the pumpkin flavor left. The pumpkin wheel was the perfect level of sweetness for me. I knew if I wanted the Boston cream flavor, I should have come first thing in the morning. We also tried the almond croissant and the crookie croissant! The kids especially loved the chocolate chip cookie on top and the doughy center. Wow, I saw this place on instagram and have been waiting to go and it was so worth the wait!! The service was very quick, everything is pulled from a case, but there was definitely a line when we arrived (on a Saturday late afternoon.) The establishment is open and naturally lit which makes it very welcoming to stay and enjoy your treat (or sandwich as they offer those,too.) We thoroughly enjoyed a peach cinnamon roll, a chocolate croissant, chocolate chip cookie, aaaaaand a double chocolate cupcake. Truly delicious! when I arrived, I was welcomed in. the lady that greeted me had red rimmed glasses and she was just the sweetest and making sure I had everything I needed and she had great suggestions. I got the raspberry cinnamon roll and also the lemon blueberry cinnamon roll and they were both very delicious. The lemon blueberry one was my favorite. You can really taste the lemon zest in the icing and they didn't taste like artificial flavors at all, it was a very organic and natural tasting in the best way. there were actual raspberries and blueberries in the cinnamon rolls which turned it up a notch. I couldn't finish it all, and when I came back a few hours later to eat the rest it was still soft. If you're looking for a good cinnamon roll, please try this place. During my first visit, I tried the cinnamon roll and carmelita. The cinnamon roll was one of the best I've ever had. The dough was excellent and it was topped with a generous amount of frosting - as every cinnamon roll should! I thought about the cinnamon roll many times since that visit so I returned a couple weeks later for another one! This time, I tried the lemon blueberry roll and it was even better than the first! Long version - popped in this particular Saturday morning around 10:30. There was already a long line, almost the entire length of the store. With all those people eager for goods, it has to mean Rise Up Bakery is good, yes? Well, I can now confirm that yes, yes they are. There is plenty of parking, the store is bright, colorful, as were their baked goods. Being the week before Easter, there were plenty of Easter-themed cupcakes and cookies. Everything looked so delicious it was hard to choose. There were not many tables for patrons to sit & enjoy the goods, so most customers pick up & go. The young gentleman who helped us was very friendly & eager to help anyone who had yet to order. It's a well oiled assembly machine line there. That is not to say it felt like "place your order now leave", only that after he took our order, the next staff member came to take the order of the people behind us, then the next, and next. They are well orchestrated there! We chose the chocolate peanut butter cinnamon roll, a crookie, blueberry scone, and loaf of challah bread. Airy, tasty. What more could you ask for? Next time we pop in, we'll have to try new items. Their cupcakes looked divine, as did their frosted sugar cookies. Oh man, and they had an orange roll that I passed over. Next time! Divine. The plaza it's in is so cute and this bakery is situated right behind the water fountain. The bakery is so cute and I love the mural on their wall. They offer so many treats- from cheesecakes to cinnamon rolls. I tried the pecan roll, the orange roll, the apple raspberry roll, and the chocolate croissant wheel. My favorite was the apple raspberry roll! Today is their last day making it (hopefully just for the season and not for forever) because it was definitely my favorite! It was SO good. I paid 30$ for my 4 items, but it's worth noting the croissant wheel was 9.50. You can tell so much time and care goes into these pastries and I definitely thought the price was worth it! Terrible attitude from the baker. Literally frowning the entire time. Brought my whole family in and even my kids noticed and mentioned it. Was really excited to try this bakery but was disappointed. I love almond croissants and the croissant was quite piecey and hollow, there were flat layers and not much rise in between the layers. The paste to croissant ratio was good but the almond paste tasted mostly of almond extract. Service was fine, they helped me when they saw I was ready to order. While browsing I came across a few flies hanging out. Should be more effort to shoo these away. read more

Stopped by this bakery to see if they had some soup bowls and some desserts for a get together. They unfortunately didn't have the bread bowls that were available online, but the woman was very helpful with amazing service. We even sampled one of their breads to get an idea of the bread similar to the bread bowls. The desserts looked extremely appetizing and presented wonderfully. The taste of the handful of pastries, cupcakes were decent but not "life changing". They didn't have much in terms of dairy free allergies except thier breads. We heard it was viral so you know we had to go! Specially the croissant pinwheels. We arrived about 11:30am on a Saturday and they still had plenty in stock. We bought a variety pack to try all the flavors. The bakery is super bright and welcoming. All the ladies were very friendly and patient while we drooled ...um I mean ... picked our treats. Everything looked so good! In addition to the pinwheels I bought a cinnamon apple croissant coffee cake. Surprising enough the coffee cake was almost the same price as the pinwheels and tbh my favorite over any of the flavors. But back to the viral moment. We took our treats home and honestly the pinwheels were delicious. They are definitely a croissant and not as sweet as a donut. We got a lemon, crème brûlée, chocolate and pistachio. The lemon was my favorite, but the crunch of the crème brûlée is everything you want in a good fork scrape and more. The chocolate filling was like a mousse, not overly sweet but airy and decadent. The pistachio was way too almond flavored. I'm not a fan of almond extract so I took one bite and it was a nope for me, but my friends husband really enjoyed it so it's definitely a personal preference on taste. The cookies are excellent! They have a deal to get a free cookie if you buy 4. Good deal! The people smile about 90% of the time. My only issue is their prices are going up! A sticky bun is now $7.25 and I remember not to long ago they were $5.00! I won't be buying those anymore. Rise up is still one of my top bakeries these past 10 years when they first turned on those magical ovens. Lately, I have been stopping in for a sandwich or a salad to have on my flights across this great nation. They are always very filling and a great price for it. And, of course, way better than what you can get at an airport usually. I also will grab some pastries for my flight attendants which are always a big hit!!
