    Creme brulee croissant wheel
    Elsie M.

Dropped by this bakery recently to pick up a few items as a surprise, to take over to a friend's house. We weren't exactly sure what they liked so we decided to go with a whole variety of delicious goods. On this visit we decided to get butter croissants, crookies, snickerdoodles, classic cinnamon rolls, cream brulee croissant wheels, and two California club sandwiches on a sub roll. Out of all the items, our top three favorites would have to be the butter croissant, cream brulee croissant wheel and the California club. The butter croissants were crispy on the outside with a soft center, and not too flakey, which we liked. However, they weren't as buttery as we were hoping they would be. The cream brulee croissant wheel was surprisingly not too sweet which we appreciated and we also really loved how unique it was. The California club was bigger than we thought it'd be and that sub roll bread gave a nice subtle sweet contrast to the savoriness of the meats. Overall, service was friendly, patient and kind. The décor was inviting, bright and simple, with a good amount of seating options.

Excellent bakery that has a wide selection of options from fresh bread, cupcakes, cheesecakes to wheels. Their wheels are probably the most unique thing they have as I don't often see these type of pastries at bakeries. The cinnamon rolls are drenched with frosting which I loved. I thought the chocolate chip cookie was very mediocre and didn't enjoy it. I got the whole wheat and honey bread which was great. I also had the pumpkin spice wheel which was good but a little too filling for me! Next time I go I hope to try the apple chai roll as it looked delicious. The whole business is well run with a lot of employees and the inside is clean. It's a nice place to grab a snack or sweet and relax for half hour.

I only tried the Dubai chocolate & the pumpkin wheel. Both were good, nothing exceptional IMO. Inside was clean with a few seatings available with a cute mural.

This is a great place to go when i'm craving an occasional treat. You can tell everything is made fresh and high quality. My fave is the raspberry croissant and the cookies are really good too. Definitely not an everyday stop but I love it as a special treat.

Location has plenty of parking and easy to find. Upon entry of this establishment, I was assaulted with the heavenly smells of fresh bread, croissants, cookies and other baked delights! I could stay here all day hopped up on coffee drinks and baked goods! I ordered a variety of items - cookies, cheesecake, cupcakes, Jalapeño cheese bread, kouign Amann, and some cream filled caramel wheel. Ohhhh my gosh, so good! Think croissant wheel filled and crisp carmelized sugary goodness. I am taking these on a road trip to share, even if I threatened only leaving crumbs. lol The lady that assisted me was super sweet, patient and helpful. Ohhhh I ordered a California sandwich and ate half. Soooo delicious and the bread!! The glorious bread!! Soft, fluffy roll filled with avocado, tomatoes, lettuce, bacon, turkey and cheese. That was a perfect savory sandwich before I attacked the dessert. Definitely hit this place!! I rarely ever give out 5 stars, but this hit the mark!

I set out this morning to a bakery that was supposed to be known for cinnamon rolls. I arrived to find they didn't open till 10. That was odd to me as a bakery. So I googled another one and found @rise.up.bakery and wow!!!! The service was amazing! I think I was talking to the owner and I am mad I didn't get her name. She walked me through all the stuff and I ended up getting way more than I needed. The crème brûlée croissant was so good! It had the hard candy top and nice cream center, the croissant was extremely fresh. I then got the crookie which is the croissant with the choc chip cookie on top. Ended with 2 regular cinnamon rolls and she tossed in an orange cinnamon roll since it was a little smaller and she didn't want to sell it. Not only was the location awesome but she also donates all the leftovers each day so nothing goes to waste or is reused. I highly recommend this spot and I give it a 5/5.

Stopped by yesterday afternoon at 6:30pm since they closed at 7pm. We walked in and the workers were already putting most of the pastries away..... We quickly felt and saw that they weren't too happy that we walked in 30 minutes before closing... and the lady that was putting the front pastries way had a RBF going on. Our orders were going to be simple and yet another customer still walked in after us..... My friend ordered a peach cinnamon roll and a rasberry filled pastry. I ordered separately and got two butter croissants, another rasberry pastry, and a chocolate chip oatmeal cookie. My total was $23 with tip and the whole interaction was quick and only took 5 minutes... We were looking to eat inside but were then too scared to get scolded so we sat outside as we still had 25 mins left until they closed. The pastries were allll really good. Nothing was dry and they all tasted fresh. Prices were reasonable. The inside was clean and its nicely decorated.

My friend wanted a cinnamon roll so we stopped by this place 30 minutes before closing. The employees made it sooo obvious they were unhappy we walked in 30 mins before their closing time at 7pm. We bought the cinnamon roll and other pastries and ate them outside so we wouldn't disturb them. Another customer walked in after us so we didn't feel as bad. Most pastries were already put away. Why close at 7 if the workers are already closing down at 6:30? Hmmmm........................

We stopped by after school, hoping to try the croissant wheel we've been seeing foodies rave about on Instagram. Thankfully, they still had the pumpkin flavor left. The pumpkin wheel was the perfect level of sweetness for me. I knew if I wanted the Boston cream flavor, I should have come first thing in the morning. We also tried the almond croissant and the crookie croissant! The kids especially loved the chocolate chip cookie on top and the doughy center. Because of a nut allergy, new gloves were used to serve our treats, which I really appreciated! The bakery has plenty of seating, and the décor is super cute.

Wow, I saw this place on instagram and have been waiting to go and it was so worth the wait!! The service was very quick, everything is pulled from a case, but there was definitely a line when we arrived (on a Saturday late afternoon.) The establishment is open and naturally lit which makes it very welcoming to stay and enjoy your treat (or sandwich as they offer those, too.) We thoroughly enjoyed a peach cinnamon roll, a chocolate croissant, chocolate chip cookie, aaaaaand a double chocolate cupcake. We left with left overs of everything that I am already looking forward to enjoying again later.

Truly delicious! when I arrived, I was welcomed in. the lady that greeted me had red rimmed glasses and she was just the sweetest and making sure I had everything I needed and she had great suggestions. I got the raspberry cinnamon roll and also the lemon blueberry cinnamon roll and they were both very delicious. The lemon blueberry one was my favorite. You can really taste the lemon zest in the icing and they didn't taste like artificial flavors at all, it was a very organic and natural tasting in the best way. there were actual raspberries and blueberries in the cinnamon rolls which turned it up a notch. I couldn't finish it all, and when I came back a few hours later to eat the rest it was still soft. If you're looking for a good cinnamon roll, please try this place. You will not be disappointed!

We're so lucky that it's right around the corner from us on Highly & Guadalupe. The kouign amann croissants are to die for!

Our favorite neighbor bakery! We're so happy and lucky it's right around the corner from us, on Highly and Guadalupe. Highly recommend trying one of everything but our favorite is the Kouign Amann croissants. Food is always fresh, and they offer lunchtime salads and sandwiches as well! Equally as good! Highly recommend if you haven't been before.

    Christine N.

Came by on a Tuesday mid morning and the bakery was well stocked! Hard to narrow it down, but ended up with a lemon croissant wheel and an apricot kouign amann to go. The croissant wheel's nice crunch of pastry layers paired well with the citrus. The kouign amann also toasted nicely the next morning. Looking to other flavor combinations with the pastries!

As I looked around, I couldn't help but think that if I lived there, I'd probably be stopping in daily. The combination of a bakery and coffee house makes it the perfect neighborhood spot. Although I skipped the coffee this visit--it was mid-afternoon on a Sunday, and I wasn't looking for a caffeine boost--I'll definitely be back to give it a try. For this visit, we focused on the baked goods and sampled four items: the chocolate croissant doughnut, maple croissant doughnut, vanilla doughnut, and a red velvwtcupcake. Every single one was delicious. The croissant doughnuts were wonderfully flaky with just the right amount of sweetness, the vanilla doughnut was soft and flavorful, and the red velvet cupcake was rich and satisfying. It's rare to find a bakery where every item you try is a winner, but this one delivered across the board. Whether you're stopping in for coffee, a sweet treat, or both, this charming bakery is well worth a visit. I'll definitely be back.

Perhaps dining in is a better experience, I can't remember if they warm up the pastry but we took our maple, cheesecake croissant, and cinnamon roll to go. It tasted a day old. The croissant/ bread didn't taste fresh, almost stale. I opted to warm it up a bit, it was a bit better but then it just started feeling too sweet so I wasn't interested anymore. the cinnamon roll breading lacked flavor, but the cream on top was good. But again the bread dough just felt stale. It was a Sunday in the AM that we went. Not busy at all. Since it's a part of an apartment, parking is a little awkward and can feel tight. You could easily not notice the place and mistake it for being closed. It's right off of the round about. (the wind had blew over the open sign and the open sign wasn't lit) Service is okay, nice enough. Not really warm. Seating is ample and is cozy to sit and read or catch up with a friend.
