Chicken parm sandwich really tasty, buffalo chicken strips sandwich very good, not too spicy but a nice kick with good bread. Chicken avocado wrap also really good. Egg, potato, and cheese on brioche was very good too, they added a little spice to it and the potatoes had a nice amount of onions...all really delicious. Rip off artists. They advertise a burger with fries for $12 then charge you almost $14 for a burger no fries and if you want a tomato it's extra. Then you get screamed at by the owner when you ask why you were charged wrong. It's a long walk to 3rd Ave from Shore Road so this place is excellent for those on Shore Rd or nearby Colonial & Narrows. Their quality is excellent. The coffee and sandwiches are pretty good. It's also laptop friendly, making it a nice work space. They have interesting old-school, vintage toys and a little library with random books. It's a hit or miss. The first time I ordered delivery I got their acai bowl, grilled cheese toast, mac-n-cheese and home fries. Portions were a bit small but they were delicious, especially the acai bowl. I was craving the acai bowl again but this time what I got was pretty disappointing. The fruits were missing and because the bowl was put sideways everything just got mixed together and was watery. Not fully sure if it's the restaurant's fault or driver. In my old review, I was very disappointed with my order from the night before. I was absolutely furious! My order was incorrect and I was missing items I paid extra for. By the time I realized the issue the restaurant had already closed. Today, a very pleasant gentleman named Matt took the time to contact me personally and apologize for the situation that I was in. He also, personally delivered the correct original order to me free of charge. Bottom line, the food here is absolutely amazing they don't disappoint with the quality and presentation. Good selection of coffees, teas, soft drinks, sport drinks and beers. I ordered a grilled chicken and avocado wrap which met my expectations. Not dry and not overly saucy or spicy. My wife and son shared a chicken parm on a brick oven loaf. Sauce was perfect and mozzarella was fresh , very homemade taste. Seating is very nicely spread out and it's extremely cozy and intimate atmosphere. We will not hesitate to go back. Don't forget to check in and get a free cup of coffee or tea. I ordered delivery with them thru grubhub just now. NONE of the food was as described. I ordered their 'famous pesto chicken sandwich'. The menu item description says that it is served on garlic butter toasted hero with sun dried tomatoes and mozzarella cheese. I received a poor skinny sandwich with a thin piece of breaded chicken and green pesto sauce. Not a trace of mozzarella. Not a trace of tomatoes. Not a trace of garlic butter. I asked for extra mesculin greens and that is the only thing they actually added to my sandwich. The sandwich was missing more than half the ingredients! And I was charged $10 for it. I ordered gluten free marble cake. It never arrived. Instead I got a brownie, which I never ordered. I got an item that I never wanted in the first place. And was charged for it. I also ordered a macha. The picture they have attached to this menu item is a proper macha. Beautiful light green, creamy beverage. and it is topped with whipped cream. I received a cup of thin dark green absolutely undrinkable thing the color and taste of muddy water. And was charged $4.50 for it. The entire order was completely messed up. The delivery I received included either stuff that I never ordered in the first place, or items were prepared not as promised, lacking majority of ingredients, but still charged full price. I want to add that I totally understand that everybody makes mistakes. But I have never seen or experienced anything like THIS before. I mean, how do you mess up the entire order? How do you forget to include half the ingredients in an order, how do you send an item that was never even ordered instead of the item that was ordered and how do you offer a beverage that you dont even know how to prepare? How do you do it all at once in a very simple order? How is it even possible for any business to show such extent of incompetence? And how do you have the decency to charge people for something like that? I rarely leave reviews on yelp, and I usually prefer to take my time to write a good review when my experience is great. This time I was left with no alternative. With taxes and a tip for the delivery person I was charged almost $25 for stuff I did not order or stuff that was not delivered the way it was promised. And I think it is outrageous. It is unbelievable that there are businesses out there that feel okay about themselves showing such incompetence and taking people's money for it. This place is SUPER cute! It's right by pier 69 which is really pretty and you can take the ferry from there to the city which is pretty cool . We got some breakfast here- I tried the "best you ever had" -bacon , egg and cheese on a croissant - was pretty yum . It's a really nice, quiet , cute cafe . The decor is pretty awesome and the music is soft and nice in the background . They have a lot of different things to try on their menu to try - so there is something for everyone ! We also tried the açaí bowl - which was alright . I tried their coffee was delicious and strong . You can order at the front and then they bring our your food to you and you can grab cutlery and napkins your self . It is on the pricier end so can't really go there all the time . Also I get that the service is slow - but there's one person working at the front ! Which is totally fine . So if you're coming here , just take your time here , sit back, relax and enjoy your time. Didn't know what to expect so I ordered their famous grilled cheese with seared steak, really great flavor and everything was in perfect balance. I also ordered the small hand cut french fries and this is the only reason I dropped a star on the great meal. They were dusted with Romano cheese and parsley and I loved the idea and they looked great but when I did eat it the aftertaste of the fries was a frozen one. No biggie, it happens sometimes I guess. I am not sure what happened but I received one of the worst burgers I've ever had in my life this afternoon. I ordered a grass fed burger ($16) which was supposed to come with 2 seared patties, medium rare, with two slices of cheese on a toasted bun. They have options to choose how well done you want your fries-- I chose well done. I did not receive any of that. I got 2 ice cold, well done, gray (no sear at all) patties with no cheese, a soggy/wet bun, all dripping in some kind of spicy Mayo that was not mentioned (I am disgusted by Mayo and won't eat anything it touches) and fried onions, which I also cannot eat. It stated that it came with regular fries but they were some kind of parmesan fries. Undercooked and soggy, ice cold. I got a piece of crumb cake for later, which I ended up eating instead of the burger and fries. That was actually pretty good, but I doubt they make it there. Was there waiting for someone. Wanted to get some hot soup, ordered the lentil, bowl size. Clueless girl said she wasn't sure if they had lentil, though it was clearly stated on the board: lentil, tomato soup and chicken noodle. She had to ask the guy in the back (probably manager). They had lentil. Then she asks me what size, 16 oz or 32 oz? I look at the sign: Bowl was $5.50, cup was $3.50. I said the bowl. She was confused. I said whatever the sign said I'll get the bowl, which didn't say the size. She had to ask the guy in the back again. Bowl. So she rings me up and it's... $9.80 (w/ tax)! But the sign says, $5.50 for the bowl, not $9.80, I told her and pulled out the sign to point to it. Clueless girl goes in the back, meanwhile I see another sign behind her that that says: Special: soup with american grilled cheese sandwich: $9! The girl and the surly manager comes back. It's $9 for a bowl, surly manager says; but I told him this sign says, $5.50 for the bowl, not $9. Is this sign wrong? It's old he said. Ok, if I'm gonna pay the $9 I might as well get the soup and the grilled cheese sandwich special. And I told him you need to fix your signs, get it right. He gave me more attitude grumbled more whether I wanted tomato or lentil. Lentil I said. Then he stomps back to the kitchen. Part of running a cafe or any eatery is customer service. Clueless girl and surly angry manager is not customer service; it's customer AWFUL. The staff is always friendly, they have tons of awesome things to choose from whether you want some coffees, cappuccinos, wraps, bagels, you name it. They are very welcoming! I came with my fiancé and our baby in the carriage as well as our 2 puppies and they welcomed us all in. First, service is very hit or miss; they're either a normal amount of friendly and give you your stuff in a normal amount of time, or they act like you're inconveniencing them and take forever. The coffee is pretty good and so is the food, but I would say the food is pretty overpriced for what you get. It's a good location by the pier. , I had an awful day. Pier 69 Market was my favorite cafe near the Bay Ridge ferry. Today, when there was nobody else in there, I bought a small box of water, took a few sips, and put my mask back on. The unmasked owner, Matt, came out and said I could sit there if I was waiting for the bus, but he didn't want to get in trouble for having indoor diners. I said he was right and left. Several more customers walked in, ordered snacks and drinks, and began consuming them inside. I walked back in and asked him to put on a mask himself. The unmasked owner told me to leave and that he was "very nice to me." He said he doesn't have to wear a mask because he's "in the back" (preparing food) despite, at that moment, interacting with an unmasked child. One of the customers also started arguing with me, as well as his cashier, who wears her masks below her nose. I was asked to leave and did. The owner followed me to the ferry pier unmasked and told me I was no longer allowed in his store. I was afraid and spoke loudly. I said I would be filing a report. He said: "You're not the first.
