This was the first time parasailing for both my husband and I and we enjoyed every moment of it!…read moreYou don't really need anything for parasailing and can choose between being dry or getting dipped in the water. It's important to keep in mind you're not up in the air for very long. You'll be up there about 15 to 20 minutes and will be riding the boat longer only if there are others on board waiting to also parasail. We absolutely loved it! There is no adrenalin rush by any means but it is amazing to be up in the sky looking at the beautiful scenery with the wind blowing through your hair! It cost 75 dollars per person to ride in tandem. Though it's a bit pricier I felt the experience was worth it! I would definitely recommend this here if you've never done it before. Kelowna is a perfect little spot to try it for the first time.

Super awesome times with Ogopogo parasailing…read more $75 pp for 2 parasailers. We were able to walk right up on May long (even with most of the other companies not yet being open for the season and with 25 - 30 degree weather I'm not sure why they hate money so much). With ogopogo your don't HAVE to get wet. You take off and land on a platform - not from the water and not having to be dragged along the beach or anything of that nature. They can let you dip your toes if you or your boatmates decide you should... so be nice to the crew and your boatmates! The winch brings your in and out in a very controlled way and it's very peaceful the whole time in the air. We got super high and had a nice little tour of the lake front in their jet boat (all decked out like the ogopogo). The only ogopogo we saw was on the boat though - the real one evaded us from the air. Ogopogo is located in a little hut along the water front by their pier and is pretty accessible when you aren't looking for them on the road. You'll recognize them on the lake by their giant happy face smiley sail in the sky. That was our first parasailing experience but we'll be doing that again some day.

BEWARE! MUST READ! BAD BUSINESS AN COMMERCE I answered a…read moreFacebook Marketplace add placed by manager of Skaha Marina Justin Fehr. The add was for a 2020 Bennington G25 Tri-toon pontoon boat. It wasn't until a few weeks later I got a call from Justin explaining that a previous deal on the boat was collapsed by the owner (seller) of the boat and he was now calling back other interested people and that I was the first he has made contact with. I was pleased to hear the boat was back on the market again and was very interested so I made arrangements to drive from the coast on July 24, 2021 to Skaha Marina to view and go out on the boat with Justin. It was here I gained a lot more information on the boat by Justin and discovered that the owner of the boat was a Mr. Randy Gallagher who is owner/operator of Skaha Marina and that Justin is representing and facilitating the sale. As a curious buyer I asked many questions and received answers to my questions some of which Justin said he would have to consult with Randy on including negotiating an agreeable sale price on the boat. I returned to the coast that evening. I made the decision to move forward in the purchase of this boat and requested further information such as serial numbers and particulars on the boat for insurance and other purposes as to do my diligence. A document was provided. After further review we began negotiating the sale price the week leading up to July 31, 2021 and came to an agreement verbally over the phone with Justin after he consulted with Randy Gallagher (owner) on an agreeable sale price. I asked if he wished a deposit and he declined saying it was not necessary. So as agreed by all parties the night before July 31, 2021, I acquired a bank draft in the full agreed amount and asked that all documents and everything be in place for a final inspection for when I arrive in the afternoon of July 31, 2021. I called and spoke with Justin 45 minutes to my arrival, no mention of anything, he was expecting me and all was good. So, I thought! I had timed and arranged for my cousin whom lives in Penticton to meet me at the marina to assist me in the final inspection. When I arrived at the marina, I made contact with Justin and he introduced me to the owner of the boat and marina operator a Mr. Randy Gallagher. Mr. Gallagher made a comment to Justin stating why the cover is not off the boat yet and then shortly after Justin requested a private conversation with Randy so they stepped aside. I proceeded dockside to where the boat was as one of the workers began taking off the cover so I could start my final inspection which was to include motoring the boat out on the lake. Justin then approached me on the dock needing to tell me something. Justin advised me that Mr. Randy Gallagher will be taking some friends out on the boat for a few hours. I stood there confused and asked for clarification to what he just said and he repeated the statement. I stated how is this happening when you knew I was here for the final inspection and if all was good making final purchase and trailering the boat.? He was very apologetic and stated we would redo the deal and if Randy wouldn't agree to drop the price more due to this Justin would throw in a bunch of "other stuff" to make the deal happen. I expressed to Justin that I highly disagree with what's going on here and that you knew I was coming and was supposed to have everything ready. I left the dock to go converse with my cousin whom was standing on the café patio patiently waiting and sensing something was going wrong. I was then approached by Justin and a woman facilitator at the marina who stated to me that she was sorry this was happening and that she is part to blame as she booked this without knowing? Booked what I stated? Hmmmmm...are you smelling what I'm smelling? Confusing to say the least and BAD BUSINESS PERIOD! Subsequently, Mr. Randy Gallagher approaches me stating that he is the only operator of this boat and he will only be out for a few hours and that the sale price will not change despite the fact! I expressed that none of this was explained to me as part of the deal and I highly disagree. I drove up from the coast prepared to buy this boat on the terms and agreement made prior to and this is how I get treated!  Not knowing what's going on with this deal I then asked Justin if I could at least inspect the trailer if this is seriously happening and Justin tells me it's not at the marina it's in dry storage as told by one of his workers? Seriously! I then advised Justin and Mr. Randy Gallagher that I'm leaving then with my cousin and I'm not in agreement with our terms of agreement which brought me here to make purchase. Call me when you figure your stuff out? Their attempts to reconcile and act in good faith under changing terms of agreement were solei for their own self-serving position and purpose with total disregard to me the buyer. No further explanation, proposals or reconciliation!
