I have a hodgepodge of tattoos from a few different artists and am always in the market for a new…read morerandom one to add to my little collection. While bored in class one day I stumbled upon Leah's insta and loved her style! However, I'm pretty impatient and since her books are closed, I decided to look into the other artists there. Boy, am I happy I did! Through Instagram I found Sam and immediately fell in love with an available flash piece she had posted on her IG story. I decided to reach out through email that night because I couldn't stop thinking about how cute it was. She got back to me the next day telling me the piece was still available-- woohoo! We shot a few friendly emails back and forth about size, color, and pricing (she works for ~120 an hour) and worked out an available time later in the week. This isn't my first rodeo with tattoos, so believe me when I tell you I could NOT BELIEVE how comfortable she made me feel the whole time (it was like chilling with an old friend). Even better, the tattoo was the least painful I have EVER gotten. I even pointed out that I couldn't believe how little pain I was experiencing. Whoever taught her, taught her well. The little piece turned out beautifully and I've been getting so many compliments. Thanks so much Sam and WTC! I'll definitely be back (if not for another tat, then definitely for the candy and donuts).

Sooo I didn't exactly mean to come here, but I was literally walking by and popped in! I've been…read moremeaning to get my double ear piercing re-pierced since it's closed, so this felt like fate :) Lucky for me, walk-ins are indeed welcome! It was a random Thursday afternoon so it wasn't busy. One person ahead of me being helped, so I scanned to QR and filled out my info online while I waited 5-10 minutes. Hannah was super duper nice, gentle, and precise. Turned out my re-pierce was hardly that: she just needed to push a new needle through as it was mostly still open. I decided to also get a third piercing next to it, because why not. All in all it was quick and easy! I'll say however, this place is priceyyyy. I suppose you're getting the experience: beautiful storefront, fun and aesthetic, and piercing by registered nurses. The piercings themselves are a cost and then the jewelry is an additional price. I realize you don't want put cheap products in fresh-pierced holes but still, just too pricey. Also confusing pricing around the needle vs gun option. Most all of my other 10 piercings have been done at tattoo/body-piercing shops at a much, much lower rate and I've never had issues with them. Again, I think you're more so paying for the experience here. Lots of options here in terms of placement for piercings (lobe, upper lobe, helix, tragus, etc). And also lots of fun jewelry options on the wall! You have to get your piercing with a specific type, but if you were just coming in to shop for earrings, this is a good spot.

I had a decent experience with Rowan. I initially made an appointment to have my ears repierced…read moreafter having not worn earrings for many years. When I arrived, I was the only customer in the store. The salesperson was nice, but she stood over me and kept asking if I knew what I wanted. I didn't like feeling so pressured. It turned out the nurse was able to put earrings in the existing holes so I could purchase earrings from the general retail space rather than the initial posts. The nurse put my earrings in for me and she was very nice. Be forewarned that Rowan is very expensive. My two sets of earrings were $65 total, which was fine. But my total for having a nurse put in new earrings was close to $140. Yikes!

Review for Tattoo Artist Neno…read more I'm deeply disappointed with my experience with Neno. I chose him because I admired the work showcased on his page, but what I received was far from what I expected. I went in for a cover-up of an old elephant tattoo on my hand, and asked for a flower design. Unfortunately, the original tattoo was not covered up--it's clearly visible underneath the new flower. It looks like a flower tattooed on top of an elephant, which is not what a cover-up is supposed to be. To make things worse, my skin was overworked during the session. As someone with melanin-rich skin and experience with tattoos (this is my 17th), it's obvious he didn't know how to work with darker skin tones. The end result is harsh, uneven, and just looks bad. He even messaged me right after to say he wanted to touch it up to make it "look more realistic," which now feels like he already knew it didn't look right. I've tried reaching out with questions during the healing process, and he's only responded once. It feels like now that he's been paid, he's avoiding accountability. Honestly, he should have told me upfront if this work was outside his skillset or referred me to someone more experienced with dark skin. Instead, I'm left with a tattoo I hate--and now I have to spend even more money to either fix it or start removal. This was a painful and upsetting experience, and I'm sharing this to help others avoid going through the same
