I booked my appointment two weeks before online. The process was easy and I appreciated the text & email reminders. I got my nose pierced I have it pierced before but every time it had gotten irritated and it was not a good experience. I have three other nostril piercings that healed just fine but that one was the worst. Caitlyn did a great job walking me through the process and making sure she didn't go over that scare tissue. I walked into 4Nineteen Ink a few years ago looking to get a second lobe piercing. Caitlin was the artist I worked with and she was wonderful. She helped me pick a set of earrings that matched the ones I already had, and when marking my ears she went above and beyond by marking out where the third set would go, to make sure the second piercings would be evenly between the first and third. Her attention to detail and ability to plan ahead on the fly was astounding. The shop itself is beautiful and clean, and I'll actually be returning for a tattoo soon and can't wait. I wanted to get my nipples pierced and was told that the barbells they had to choose from were the best as they were longer than most barbells-It would facilitate in the healing process. They weren't actually that long and were a touch short for me. I trusted in what my piercer said and we went with the barbells she suggested-thankfully, they healed pretty well. I was also forced to buy solution and even though that is the case in many piercing studios, I already had some. So it was just frustrating especially after I told my piercer. When I was ready to check out, on the POS, it asked if I wanted to sign up for their newsletter and texts, in which I could get a bday discount. I had told my piercer that it was the day before my bday. She could even see that on my ID- She could care less. She was so unfriendly at that point. I still gave her a nice tip because she did take the time to explain the piercing to me and ensure that the piercing went smoothly. I made an appointment At 12:45 unfortunately it was my fault but I was having issues getting ready due to recent surgery. When I walked in, Jake immediately said you are late and your appointment time it's pretty much over. I guess my appointment was only 15 minutes even though I got there at 12:54. All that I wanted was a new hoop and put in other piercings that I had to remove do the surgery and possibly shortening the post on a piercing that I had here a year ago. He told me over and over how I was late and how it was already past my appointment time and he didn't think he would have time to help me with most of it. I know I was late I understand I apologized it wasn't like I was a half an hour late I didn't realize the appointment was only for 15 minutes. People take longer than that just to pick out what they want for their piercing. I thought it was very rude the way he treated me. And I didn't appreciate it. I know I'm only one person but I will never go back to see him again. I work for a doctors office and we even give our patients 15 minutes sometimes 20 and we still see them and we are not rude!! He then said that if I just left because I was very angry that he would have to charge me anyhow! Great customer service. read more

Got my earlobes pierced for the first time (as an adult) with Caitlin via Amity Ink. Had a great experience with Caitlin. She was personable, warm, professional and her station was very clean. But-- same experience as other reviewer with checkout. The iPad is definitely set up to make you tip on the jewelry, which my more experienced friends later told me is not a legitimate thing. Though I definitely would have tipped Caitlin for her services, which were excellent, tipping on the expensive jewelry is quite a racket. I chose rose gold, which was in the 200 range, while actual piercing service fee was under 50. Since it was (clearly) my first time getting any piercings done and wasn't sure how tipping worked in that setting, I should have given closer attention to the screen, but I'm so autopiloted about the clover/touchscreen pay system these days and businesses must know that. Even so, it's hard to click "no tip" or do a lesser manual tip than the preset buttons when the person is standing right next to you. Would have appreciated if Caitlin had pointed it out, but who can blame her. Probably ended up tipping around $70 when I would have done 10-20. It colored the experience a bit and is the only reason this isn't a 5 star review. If you don't make the same mistake I did, I'm sure you'll come away with a better opinion of the place. Would still absolutely go to Caitlin as a piercer; I attribute this more to Amity procedures than her personally. read more

Caitlin pierced my daughters' ears and was absolutely amazing! Caitlin took her time with my daughter, Maddy, and talked Maddy through everything, and even made it into a fun game! My 16 year old daughter had been wanting to get a second ear piercing but was nervous since her first ones were done when she was a baby. We were apprehensive to go to the mall and have it done after hearing some bad things about having it done with a piercing gun. We decided to see Caitlin after reading many great reviews of her including young children and kids. She was very professional and put my daughter at ease with her great sense of humor. Everything was extremely sterile and she explained what she was going to do every step of the way. She explained how to clean and care for the piercing. She also took her time to make sure my daughter felt OK afterwards. It was a great experience for us and I would highly recommend Caitlin for any piercings. read more
