My AC went out on July 2nd, they came out July 3rd and told us they would be there to install on July 9th. I received a text and email confirmation. At 2pm on the 9th I called to find out when they were coming to install and the owner said that they were coming Thursday and had no idea why I received a confirmation beyond him telling me as well he was coming that day. When they arrived they displayed no customer service in assuring that I knew they were on my property or their game plan how they were going to get the unit place. The owner went to remove the unit from his trailer and did not properly unchain the unit causing it to fall off the skid steer and dent it. They also did not remove the tracks on the bottom so it would have a properly displacement of weight on the new pad. After speaking to the owner earlier that week I found him to be condescending and rude. He talks over me the entire time I tried to talk and ask questions so I can be prepared for his arrival. During installation my husband and I decided it to be best if he looked at it when he got home from work and dealt with him rather than me. When he came home we found not only the unit dented, but trash everywhere, sloppy installation, the unit not leveled, gaps under the damaged pad, and no p-trap installed on the drain but yet placed so that the runoff would erode the unit over time. They sent the owners son out to fix it twice. We told him to have his dad call so that we can discuss the damage. I refused to approve payment until that discussion. When he finally called, again condescending and talked over me. He said the unit was not damaged that it worked. I said you know what why don't you call my husband and you all discuss this, I don't appreciate not getting a chance to say what I have to say. To which he said he's going to put a lien on my house. I am fully prepared to release the funds but not for a dented unit. If you purchased a brand new truck and the dealer dented it, would you still take it because it still works? Horrible company, disrespectful towards women, not at all good communicators and display very poor workmanship.

At 7 P.M. I received a call from Jeff Newman, he was leaving Loganville and was heading my way, he pulled in the driveway at 7:30. I knew it was the capacitor because Matt Hubbard had mentioned that the part was failing but still working when he did the summer service in May. Jeff replaced the capacitor, checked the amperage and the unit was blowing cold air by 8 P.M. I highly doubt any other company could have pulled off this 3 hour turn around from hot and humid to blowing cold air! The repair cost was extremely fair, the service was excellent and the peace of mind priceless! This was my first time meeting Jeff, but I will request him in the future, he's a great guy who went above and beyond and saved the night. Trust me, you don't appreciate A/C until you ain't got it. Other guys insisted I needed the cadillac of all AC systems to cool the upstairs and estimate came in at about 5X that of Hixon (yes 5X). Hixon nailed it, with exactly what I needed to keep large upstairs area nice and cool without any overkill or upsell. Enjoyed working with Mitch to assess issues with current A/C (and solutions to keep up and running), but in the end, decided it was time to replace. Mike G and Josh did the install and would highly recommend. If you want honest, professional, and no nonsense people dealing with your AC, consider giving Hixon a try.
