We enjoyed our stay and will be coming back. The good: facilities seemed to be well managed, clean and at a great location. There is even a trolly stop to get into town from the front entrance. The weekend we were there, it was packed. Even so, the site was easy enough to back into. Tons of campers had their TVs out to watch the game and grilling, but there was little noise and noting disturbed us inside our rig. Kids enjoyed the pool and having fun while many families rented the facilities golf carts to get around the camp. The Bad: The campground is way more packed and has smaller sites than what the photos indicate. You will find it to be congested, especially on the weekends. Also, some sites to not have a dumping capability, you will need to dump at a common site when leaving. All and all, we will certainly be coming back. read more

Doing the VanLife at the moment. Historic cold hitting the Mid-Atlantic, so we modified our plans at the last minute. Came to Gatlinburg instead. We found the campground to be nearly empty. Lazy River Pool was heated and the hot tub was nice to have to ourselves. Showers and bathrooms clean (again, only a handful of campers here). Laundry was $2 each for wash and dry. Enjoyed our stay and will return during warmer weather to experience the Great Smokies (most roads closed during our stay due to icy conditions in the NP) read more

Sometimes I see a overall rating on a Yelp page and I wonder if I'm writing a review for the right business. I truly do not understand how their rating could be this low. But, I do recognize that every experience is different and thus I can only share my own. I went here with family and extended family (including our furry ones) for a few days. We opted for the site with a firepit, swing, and fenced in dog area. Our time there was thoroughly enjoyable and relaxing. We had the firepit ablaze every evening, the swing was inviting, and the potty area was perfect while we ate outside. Also it is worth mentioning that the showers are setup individually so you can take your time without feeling rushed. The nearby river provided the perfect ambiance while you drift off to sleep and the numerous bison in the area will definitely keep you intrigued. If you want to stay near this area, but not in a hotel I highly recommend this KOA. read more

We love staying at the KOA in Pigeon Forge, TN. This week was our fifth stay and have always had a great time. I was called back into work (we live two hours away) so I traveled Thursday and left the family to enjoy the time. I returned on Saturday to pick up the camper but was late due to Knoxville traffic's construction. Check out is at 11 but I explained what I had to do and Amy 2 (that was on her name tag) said we had a little time to leave. I hadn't had breakfast and it was lunch time. I asked her if there was a empty spot I could pull the camper into, run and get something to eat and she looks over at the other lady who didn't have a name tag on and said it's up to her. The other lady said no, they don't allow that in a very rude voice. I explained we would just go over to McAllisters which would be a quick meal and come right back. She said "if I let you I have to let everyone that asks! The campground wasn't but about 3/4 full when I arrived and I drove around and with people leaving it was less than half full. The lady was very rude and wouldn't even consider it and I explained also that I had bicycles in the back and didn't want them stolen. It would be safer at the campground than sitting in a public parking lot. Note: last year during our stay some bicycles and other things were stolen out of peoples campsites in the early morning hours so the KAO doesn't have night security. Anyway again she said no. I think we will take our camping business to one of the other many campgrounds in pigeon forge. No need for rudeness. read more

So I am giving this a solid 4 because we brought the grandkids here! They biked, swam, bounced and had a great time! The kids voted this 10 out of 10. The pool area definitely 10 out of 10 lovely and cool! Staff was friendly & helpful. Unlike other reviews we had 5G service without having to connect to the guest WiFi. (Verizon) IF we didn't have the kiddos, we would probably not stay here. The camp sites are SMALL. Like you could spit and hit the camper next to you. We like to spread out and enjoy the scenery. Speaking of scenery, there isn't much unless you are in certain outer areas. The bath house was always clean as well and they have a pet area and pet wash area so BONUS! They also have specific sites that have fenced areas for your bigger dogs! This was mostly a trip for the kids and they LOVED it. read more

From the start of check-in, the care that the staff gave was hands down great!!! The guide to the campsite (giddies us in) definitely saved us a good 3 hours of arguing and making up time. (That alone was worth the stay). The trash pick-up was great 10a/6pm. Bath houses always clean. The only thing that we didn't care for was our site location. It was cramped, we have a 42ft Fifth wheel. Now that we know the location we will be choosing our sites on our next stay. The side we hook-up flooded. Which made for a few miserable walk arounds. The lazy river is heated so bring a suit and the fire pit is relaxing. read more

This large KOA location has sites very very close together. It was fully booked. Even though I reserved two nights I left after 5 minutes and found a hotel to stay in. Nobody in the entire resort was wearing a mask. Not even the guy who led us to our site. We saw one dangling from his cart. Not one guest had a mask. The Swimming pool area was busy. Again ...No masks. Also there were huge Trump flags everywhere even one hanging into the site driveway I was led to. All around unpleasant and dangerous. I'm not sure who manages this place but they obviously do not believe in following the mask mandates. I have never posted a review before but people need to know how out of control this place is. We stayed here for our summer camping trip from July 16-20. The check in was very easy and they escorted us to the site and assisted us parking out camper. We set up and immediately took off to check out the pool. The pool area was nice and the kids loved it. The bouncy pillow right next to the pool was good, they would bounce, get hot and hot to the pool to cool off. The blow up slide was pretty awesome, but wish it was closer to the pool so I could keep an eye on the kids in the pool and on the blow up slide. We looked at the menu of the mama's kitchen but for the price it wasn't worth it. If the prices were a tad cheaper, it would almost be worth having lunch there. The showers were nice and the fact that each individual shower had its own lockable door was very nice. The bathrooms were clean as expected and they had plenty of them situated around the campground. The site we were on was a drive through site and was good. The fire ring was very small but it was usable. We had some heavy rain and around the site we had a small pond and mud in the grassy areas. We would definitely look to come back here and we would highly recommend our friends and family to come stay here! read more

Extremely mid campground, to say the least. The "Deluxe" lots were very small considering the size of our RV, so we were kinda misled by their website. We only stayed here for a couple days and most of the time we went out hiking and only came back during the evening. Honestly we should have went to the other campgrounds because to pull in/out, as well as trying to get as comfortable as we could, was the hardest part because everything was so closed-space and narrow. And lastly, PLEASE tell your staff how to properly drive golf carts, because one of the employees literally bent one of our bikes when they were driving by. If you're looking for a fairly large campground to stay in, I recommend going to other ones in Gatlinburg and to avoid this one. I'm giving this 2 stars solely because of the convenience of many places downtown being just a walking distance. read more

During travel to Pigeon Forge our motorhome broke down and had to be left behind for repairs. We are traveling with our dog and needed a pet friendly cabin to tent. We rented a deluxe cabin overlooking the campground and if it wasn't so expensive for just 2 of us then we would have stayed 2 more nights. Cabin seemed brand new & we loved it! Equipped with keurig and good coffee. Cable tV was a little fuzzy on some channels. The deck was amazing with a huge stone outdoor fireplace! Campground adjoins a beautiful park and very convenient to everything in Pigeon Forge & Gatlinburg. Campsites were really nice and so was the pool, playground & cafe! read more

The pros: location, location, location; clean bathrooms, activities for kids and pool. Close to all the main attractions in Pigeon Forge or the trolley stop is right outside the campground. The cons: unless you have a pull thru site or deluxe, be prepared for a tight squeeze. Packed in like sardines. Your neighbor needs sugar? Just pass it out your window to them. We have a 29 ft rv and can't fit our tow vehicle on our site. We usually hitch up the night before we leave, this wasn't possible since we'd be in the road. We are parked behind another rv. The whole setup is bizarre. read more

I must say this is a wonderful campground with a lovely lazy river, perfectly heated pool and hot tub and great polite staff. But there are some minor flaws. To start off the WiFi is a average of 1 bar or less. Also the bathrooms are the worst I have ever seen the stall starts above your waist when sitting down I can't say for the male bathrooms though. The waterfall was broken when I was there. But over all it is a pretty decent campground with great attractions. read more

This KOA is a kid Mecca! Lots of activities, jumpy castles, inflated jump pad, train, etc... There is a local cafe that delivers to your site. The camping spots are typical (close to one another) for a KOA. It has a good location. Quick drive to the main drag of P.F. but a bit of a walk. If you've got kids this is the place to go. If not, I would pursue one of the many of area RV parks. You may also want to consider the KOA in Townsend if you're looking for more of the Smoky Mountain feel and let of the chaos of Pigeon Forge. read more

This KOA is perfectly located in the middle of everything! We rented a cabin and after walking around the grounds we agreed that we had the BEST views. The RV section was very crowded and some spots looked very cramped and impossible to navigate. There is A LOT this campground offers for the kiddos and more than any other place we've stayed. Grounds were nice and well kept. The cabin was very clean too. The bathrooms we used were by the creek and kep extremely clean. The water in the bathrooms have motion sensors and they are terrible. I could barely brush my teeth without waving my hand constantly to get a tiny amount of water. This was not a game changer, rather very annoying. We enjoyed our stay and would visit again but only if renting a cabin. read more

We loved this KOA! My kids didn't want to leave! They rode the kiddie train, played on the zip line, playground, pool, and bounce cloud. The restrooms are clean, cabin was very clean, AC and fans worked perfectly, and we loved the patio area! The staff was wonderful and I was very appreciative of the store. Their prices are reasonable and they had a nice selection, which was great since we had driven so far and didn't want to venture out. Our fridge and microwave in the cabin worked perfectly! Not impressed. Nice campground for families, lots of activities and a pool, but very tight spaces. We stayed in a cabin and was not impressed for the price we paid. The cabin was very small, bed was hard as a rock and we didn't realize there was no parking next to the cabin. Our cabin was 5 feet from another cabin, offering little privacy. If you are going anytime in 2021 double check about the construction on the nearby park. We went during the week and were woke up by the noise at 6:30 am both days. Very convenient and close to the pigeon forge strip if that is what you are looking for. read more

We went to koa in pigeon Forge Tennessee and had a pretty crappy time (pun intended) apparently there was a clogged sewer pipe. they decided to dig up the ground and cut it open on the side of our tent with nasty water flowing through our site. We couldn't even hear each other talking over the construction noise. We were not offered a discount or different site. We needed to cut our trip short and demand a refund. The manager said they can't help sewer problems. They can help by at least apologizing and offering at least a discount. Pros: lots for kids to do, clean campground, clean air conditioned bathrooms, location is great. Cons: crowded!, people coming in at all hours of the night, pool is small and crowded, the manager argues with you about issues you may have and is very unprofessional. read more

Stayed 4th of July weekend. Great location right off the strip next to Patriot park. Easy to catch the trolley from the park to Gatlinburg, Dollywood and all the attractions. Park was clean, bathrooms were in good shape, 3 different shower houses...so easy to get cleaned up. Camp store sold ice and beer along with many other necessities. (Those are ours). We could hear the music from the 4th celebration in the park from our campsite and watch the fireworks. Easy walk to Old Mill area, restaurants and shops. Ugh! We've stayed at LOTS of KOAs and this is near the bottom. Like all KOAs and most other campgrounds there's all kinds of stuff to do and plenty of things for kids. This place is crowded and LOUD! The spots seemed stupid small. We could not get our camper into our spot, and it's not as if we have a huge RV or anything, it's an average sized camper. Part of it was the stupid small and narrow spot and part of it was the douchebag next to us who had his vehicle parked awkwardly. We knocked on their door (no answer of course) then went to the office. After waiting forever for someone at the office finally came with a tractor and got our camper in. Not planning on coming back. read more

I would have had a much nicer stay with more privacy and peace and quiet if I had just parked the camper in a Walmart parking lot. Campsites were SMACK on top of one another to the point where slideouts were inches away from touching. I actually cried when we got to our campsite after 12 hours of driving, I was so disappointed that this was our "vacation". Since we were SO close to other campers, we had no privacy and could hear everyone around us, both in and out of their campers. Kids were running around unsupervised, bikes were left on our site, underneath our truck, and every time we pulled out we were weary we'd accidentally hit someone. This was easily the worst layed out campsite I've ever been to in my 20+ years staying in campgrounds. We couldn't even have a proper fire since the pit was so close to the road and all the traffic/kids running around!! Do yourself a favor - Stay far far away! read more

Stay away if you're tent camping. There is a road on the other side of the narrow river which the tent sites are very close to, and vehicle headlights shine into your tent all night. Also, loud traffic can be heard from the vehicles that are driving only around 50 yards away. There must be a trash plant or something about 40 yards from the tent sites, because semis, banging, and loud machines could be heard all night. Also, there are spot lights on several of the hotels which shine at the tent and light it up the light the night. This campground is fine for campers, but horrible for tents. I will say that the bathrooms are clean and the one staff member who checked me in was very friendly. read more

This KOA is simply a place to stay if you are in Pigeon Forge for Dollywood. Other than that it's not a place to stay to just camp. It is big and crowded. Sites are narrow and difficult to back into. The pull thru sites are easy but they are difficult to get. staff seemed to be just blah about anything. When we checked in we heard the same speech about 6 times from the person checking people in. It was word for word every time with little or no emotion. We had complained about a sewer smell for two days, but no one checked on it. Even our camping neighbors complained about it. This won't be our choice when in Pigeon Forge. We will most likely stay further out of town where we will probably get a more personal experience and better attention to issues. read more

I would never consider going to the Pigeon Forge KOA, it is the WORST RV Park that we have ever been in! The sites are dangerously close, their idea of pull-thru sites is to drive through the site directly behind you and if someone is there then you have to back in and that is nearly an impossible task due to the closeness. A large coach was pulling in after dark next to us and if I had not opened the window and yelled, the driver would have destroyed our slide-out because he was about to hit it. He got out and was extremely aggravated because he paid for a "Roomy Site" that was "Pull-Thru", he said that they lied to him on the phone and said it was "Hook and Bait" because once you get here, finding a decent RV Park with vacancies is impossible. This campground is a joke and should NOT be called a KOA because it does not live up to the KOA standards and the office staff are very rude, if I had to guess, the people working in the office was from N.Y. or N.J. because of their rudeness and bad language! If this is the only campground available in Pigeon Forge, then we will stay at home or go somewhere else because we will NEVER stay here again! As for recommendations, I RECOMMEND THAT YOU DO NOT STAY HERE, GO TO A GOOD CAMPGROUND BECAUSE THIS ONE IS NOT GOOD, IT'S TERRIBLE! read more

We were here on a packed weekend with a hot rod show going on so the noise was awful both nights till around 2am. The playground was under repair and the hot tub was not hot at 8am, I think they turn it off at night and turn it back on in the morning. Had to listen to the guy blowing leaves and debris while I was in the "cool tub". The bathrooms were very clean. Our site had some mud issues were we parked our truck. read more

Campground is very convenient to attractions. The shower on the hill where they added new sites a couple of years ago are the worst that I have ever been in. Very small, the shower curtain does not keep the water in the stall. When you get out you are standing in water; there is no way you can get your under cloths, shorts or pants on without getting them wet from your feet. If you want to put dry feet in your shoes you must sit on the little seat and dry each foot before you put it in your shoe. There are only three showers and one was out of order. read more

For about 70 years or so, my family has camped annually, and until this year has done so in Cherokee, at the Cherokee KOA location. This year, for whatever reason, they decided to tack on an extra hour and a half to our drive and congregate here in Pigeon Forge. The campground is nice enough but not necessarily as woods-y or camp-y as Cherokee. Located on a main road, right next to a power plant, golf course, and on the opposite side a high school football field, in addition to being in the heart of Dollywood traffic Hell, rather than a nice picturesque view of the mountains this place felt uncomfortably developed and commercial. A family member told me that they could hear the power lines buzzing throughout the night, which is an unwanted alternative to cricket chirping and owl hooting. Unless the family decides to return to Cherokee I will most likely not be attending next year. Always sad to see a tradition die, but such is life. read more

While passing through did not think they would have any room but they did ! Although this is the most expensive koa I have ever been to there are a few coupons out there like if you go here check in first and you get a coupon for 10% off and if you go to the smoky mountain alpine coater they have free coupons including koa .the koa was quiet crowded being a tourist town they have a small dog park and large playground for kids. read more

Our experience at this KOA was ok. Everyone is packed in so tight and sites couldn't be any smaller. It seems as if they have maximized every square inch of the place to make as much money as possible. Given what they charge, packing everyone in the way they did it shouldn't be necessary. We had to park our camper partially on the concrete pad so that we could extend our slides out on our camper without hitting the water and electric hook up. An employee brought several pieces of wood he cut up so that we could raise the opposite side of our camper to make it level. Once we were finally set up everything was ok. Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg KOA, make your sites two feet wider and I'll give you the other two stars. read more

This campground is SMACK in the middle of Pigeon Forge, and just a stone's throw away from Dollywood and its accompanying water park. If you have kids, definitely go here. And the cabin rental is quite cheap. They had the best facilities of any of the KOAs we stayed at during our trip. A great camp kitchen in the different loops, complete with a stove and sink. There were great facilities close to all the different loops. And we were just a five minute drive into Pigeon Forge, which the kids loved. The staff was amazingly kind (we actually showed up at the wrong place), and helped us get settled after a long day driving. Definitely heading back here again. read more

We all know KOAs are over priced. Some are corporate and some private. Which ever this is doesn't matter. Made the reservation and I admit I made a mistake on where I should be, but they attempted to penalize me the entire cost of the camp spot for canceling. I literally realized the mistake within 15 min and called right away. Eventually someone called me to say they would penalize me 25 for canceling my reservation to switch to a different KOA. As someone who has now visited 32 of our 60 National Parks and 78 Forests, Rec. Areas and monuments I now bid KOA goodbye as I continue to travel across our great nation. read more

(I'm giving 2 stars solely based on customer service provided here, otherwise it would hardly get a one from our experience.) We reserved a primitive campsite for two nights. If you are looking for real Smoky Mountains camping, DO NOT GO HERE. This would be a great place to stay if you want to do all the touristy things in the area and don't want to stay in an expensive hotel. Staff was absolutely delightful and a clean area overall. But the hustle and bustle happens all around you. Across the street from the campsites are hotels and loading docks for stores. Worst place ever for tent camping. There's bright lights on all night. The loud sound of crashing metal and reversing trucks woke us up at 4 in the morning and didn't stop for an hour. There is a nice little creek right next to the tent sites, but it doesn't justify how awful it is to sleep here, especially in a tent. Like I said, staff was so helpful and super nice. It's an affordable place with good amenities, but as I mentioned, this is not a real Smoky Mountains camping experience, so do your research. read more
