It was great before changing back to Yogi Bear. I ve been coming here for years. It has been a great vacation for years .Too bad it's over now .Got to find a new place to many changes not good. Do yourself a favor find somewhere else don't waste your money. I could go into detail, it would take to long .If you've been here before and love it. You want like it. You can't have visitors I used the laundry facilities really nice paid enough on that app for pay range to do all week. I went back the next day to do laundry there was a sign said closed for renovation. I asked was it broken he said no .I then ask if they are starting today he didn't know When they would start. I Think they should have posted a sign telling when it would close off season preferably . There's nothing wrong with it .I think they just didn't won't to clean it due to the bad weather. I have taken my g-kids to a Jellystone RV Park in Bremen, GA and it was a great park, there was plenty to do to keep our g-kids busy, hands down. That was the reason for our making reservations here, don't waste your money! One pool was closed it was green, the other a backyard pool is almost bigger. Again, very disappointed. What a beautiful and well run Yogi Bear. From the moment we arrived from IL they were kind and patient with us - greeted us with love. They gave clear directions and instructions. The rental unit we stayed it exceeded our expectations. A cute kitchenette with an electric stove, pots, pans, cutting board and utensils. Linens such as blankets, pillows with cases, towels for showering, wash rags for dishes. Checkout and check in was easy. The location for this place is amazing! That's the biggest plus for here. We stayed just a couple nights in a pop up camper, and honestly I'm not sure we'd be able to stay here with something much larger. It was a great spot for what we had, but we did have to park one of our 2 cars up at the main lot. The spots are tight, so if you have a large rig, it's going to be difficult. As well as if you have more than one vehicle (like in cases of an RV. I didn't get to check out the tent spots, but there was a separate area just for tents, which is nice. The cabins we saw looked nice to rent as well. The bathrooms were nice and they had a pond and a pool (it was Dec when we went so can't say much on them). The biggest and really main/only issue I have this place, is signage/markings. If you want to find this place at night good luck. There is no light on the sign. We missed it 3 times! And the space numbers are set way back off the road and really small, and again no lights to see our spot. Thank goodness our parents already had the trailer there before dark because we would have had zero luck finding our spot. There were 3 spots in a row that were empty and we still couldn't read the numbers, so it's not that there were campers in the way. I can't speak on the main office, or the activities other than the playground, which was nice for a 4 year old. read more

We just left this campground after staying there for a week. This was our first long camping trip. We are very clean people but this campground is not very clean! We left and found two cockroaches in our brand new camper. Unfortunately our site was towards the end of the campground and it was mostly dirt, where most other sites had loose gravel. Which made a mess for us and our kids! I think every site should be loose gravel. It was a long walk to either the facilities, playground or even the camp office because we were at the very end where the long haul campers were. I feel like we were kinda cheated out of a great experience because we were so far away from everything. We had visitors and they had to park at a parking lot that was very far from our camper... uphill! We were going to go to the pool but it was closed so we had to walk even further to the first pool...We went to wash and dry our clothes but the dryers were broken. For a large campsite they only have two washers and dryers that only take quarters. The dryers don't work. Went to use the bathroom and it was overflowing...holy cow!?! It just seemed like everything was maybe just old? The staff here was excellent though and most of them live on the campsite so it feels like a family. By the end of the week we got to know them pretty well. It has two pools and a jump pad, and two playgrounds. One small and one big playground. You can rent a golf cart for about 50$ a day so you don't have to walk uphill just to go to the pool or bathroom. They sell pizza some other foods and ice, also wood. Honestly a great place for the location...you can hear the fireworks and train from Dollywood at your campsite. We probably won't be back due to how close the sites are to each other. And how dirty it was. Little to NO privacy at all but once again I will say the staff was really great. The best part about this campground were the staff. Truly top notch! The cabin comes with everything you need and it was perfect for our 4 night stay in the Smokys. We stayed in a cabin that allowed our 2 small dogs to stay with us so that was great. We stayed over the week of Thanksgiving last year and the park is very nice and clean. However, if you experience an issue, don't expect help from management or anyone else. The campers next to us brought along 2 large, very aggressive dogs that barked non-stop for hours on end when the humans would leave the RV. First management told us that they didn't even include dogs in their reservation and secondly, if the barking continued, they would be asked to leave. Despite 3 days of constant barking, we were at our wits end and did not receive any assistance or a solution from management. Management then told us to call the police to have them evicted from the site. Well, that isn't/wasn't our job or responsibility. Numerous people around us complained about them as well, but they were allowed to stay and harass everyone within 100 yards of their campsite. The site was nice, but very small and difficult to get in and out of with a vehicle once you were finally able to park your RV. I can't say that we would recommend any RV park that allows someone who bullies them to stay after numerous others have complained along with us, especially considering that none of the complaining parties knew or were associated with each other. read more

I like the location, and the glamping tent is a nice in between camp experience for the kids. The tent did need a deep clean, because it smells musty, and the rug had lots of funky stains. The showers are nice, but it's a little bit of a walk from the tent up a steep hill. We had an acorn tree of death above a our tent, a couple of us got hit pretty hard, including me right in the middle of my head. If you are at the end of the tent road you will be close to some additional portable latrines, but at the other end it feels slightly more private, and of course closer to the showers. read more

I did not expect the cabins to be so CLEAN! The bedding was clean and comfortable, and the air conditioning was nice and cold on the 90-degree days we were there. Everything was great in the cabin, and the staff was beyond excellent - garbage was picked up frequently, and Jacque at the main desk was friendly, informative, and always helpful. Also, I had left my medications in the cabin after check-out, and this caring and efficient staff sent them to me - I received them the next day! I'll start by saying the staff here is incredible. If I were just reviewing the staff, it would be five stars. Pros: wonderful staff, solid WiFi, great location Cons: tight sites, terrible parking, facilities falling apart, showers/toilets often not useable overnight Stayed here for just under a week. Every staff member was friendly and helpful. The wifi performed well despite the Thanksgiving crowds. The location is great, right near Dollywood and other attractions. The sites were very close together. This would be less of an issue if there was some sort of parking, but people seem to just park at an angle or in the actual road. This makes backing in to some sites quite difficult because people are parked in the road itself. There were often multiple cars and trucks parked at the same site and crammed along the road. The biggest issue was the facilities. On our side of the park, many of the bathrooms had a push lock. These would often get bumped, leaving the bathrooms locked and unusable for the remainder of the night. The toilets that were unlocked were often backed up or overflowing. The staff always took care of this immediately in the mornings, but the facilities themselves need some work. read more

We currently booked a site at Yogi Bear Campground in Pigeon Forge TN and we were so disappointed. To start off the road through is very narrow and winding. The camp sites were extremely small. All sites from economy to premium were small. Not enough room to park a vehicle. Every site had vehicles in the road. Definitely nowhere to park our F450. Water pressure was weak and our site the cable didn't even work. To carry the name Yogi Bear seems like there would be a standard of quality sites...not here. To say we were completely disappointed is the nicest thing we could say. The online photos were not taken at this campground. DO NOT STAY HERE! We called around and found another campground. This was my first time visiting TN and I must admit it was awesome! The staff was so helpful and they were always available during office hours and after hours you can call for emergencies. The staff in the office the ladies were so very friendly and I appreciate the customer service that my family and I received. They knew me by name and I was trying to remember each one of them. Jackie was the person I dealt with the most. The after hours check-in was smooth and easy. The next day I went into the office and signed the paper work. Even the staff driving around were so friendly they would wave and speak an ask how things were going. This place was beautiful with a wonderful view. I will visit again. This is a nice campground, not the biggest but conveniently to the Pigeon Forge attractions. We were lucky enough to be close to the first pool and bath house. I called it the pool suite. Bath houses are cleaned every morning. By the end of the day, they can get pretty disgusting. The first pool closes at 8 and the second pool is open until 10. It should be the other way around to be honest. Overall great campground, I would recommend and do not read into the negative reviews. You are not going to please everyone. read more

We've spent time at many Jellystone parks and look forward to things they have schedule for the kids. We love The smokys but normally stay on the Carolina side but we wanted to stay at a kid friendly campground. When we arrived, we were told the park had minimal electricity and there wasn't anything they could do about it. Luckily, we were at the very end of the park and we had electricity the whole time. We asked for a schedule of activities as other jellystone parks have but was told their printer wasn't working. When I asked about the activities for the day so I could write them down since the printer was broken, I was told "I think yogi is at 10am." That's all the activities that were scheduled for a Saturday. Camp sites are small but everything was working properly. The bathrooms were mediocre but be prepared to take a hike. We enjoyed the fishing pond and caught quite a few catfish and coy fish. Most of our neighbors were nice and sweet but the staff was not. We will not be staying here again due to a "kid friendly campground" that has HARDLY ANYTHING for kids. The location to pigeon forge was nice and you could get to most things within 15 minutes. Take the drive to Townsend to the Wye swimming hole Instead of the pools at the campground. It's beautiful! read more

This campground is incredibly close to all downtown Pigeon Forge has to offer. It's right off a main drag but down a hill so you don't really see the traffic or shops that are very close. The campsites are pretty close to one another. They have different levels. We stayed on a standard. They also had economy and premium. All sites had full hook up so for the price I was quite happy. We stayed in a high side pop up camper. We were one of only three. Most everyone had a much larger RV. The sites all had a paved pad. The difference in sites was if you had grass or gravel next to your site. There is not a lot of room for it, though. I posted a picture of our fire pit (all sites had fire pits) and the neighbors RV. It's tight. Each site also had a very nice and heavy duty picnic table with trex type wood. While I say the sites are close, there were shrubs and flower pots between them and they was still natural trees and wildlife around. Our site (49) backed up against the hill and had nice trees. Driving by the KOA which was right on the main drag I could see all the sites and it looked more like a parking lot. Was glad we needed up at Yogi Bear. They also had some little cabins and even a few RVs you could rent. Up another hill on the top level were some clamping safari type tents that even had AC. Hardwood floors and twin bunk beds when I peeked in an unused one. They looked super cute and lots of fun. They sell and deliver firewood. Pricey for what I'm used to ($7 and some change) but seemed on par with stores around when I checked. There are events every hour for kids. Mine were older but they participated on a few. They have a small playground with a jumping pad. Not extravagant but enjoyable for a half hour for my 12 year old. They also show movies in the pavilion by the main office each night. Cute, but we didn't really participate. There are two bathhouses each with their own pool. However, the pool was not open until May 1st. This was a source of disappointment for our family. Many other campgrounds did already have their pools open. And it was warm enough, for sure. The bathhouses had individual rooms each with a toilet, sink, and shower. The one closest to us had 6. The individual rooms were nice but always full in the morning. There was not a traditional bathroom with just toilets. But once again, most everyone else was in an RV so they probably didn't use it just as a bathroom like we were. Golf carts were plenty. I think they charge extra to have one. Didn't seem to deter many people. It often felt like a go kart course with kids driving them around and around any which direction. But no body intervened. I don't really mind. I've been at campgrounds where people are constantly on you for every little thing and I don't enjoy it. read more

We have three kids, so when looking at campsites, we look for things the kids can do as well. I've heard many good things about a lot of the Jellystones so I figured we'd give this one a try. Luckily, we arrived in broad daylight because we were not expecting how tight everything was! The whole park is one-way, but it seemed as hardly anyone paid any mind to that. The place was packed and there's hardly any room for your camper/rv and one vehicle. Everyone was parked sideways in front of their camper still parked in the road. It truly does seem like they tried to cram as many sites as possible to bring in as much revenue as possible. There's no room at the camper area for kids to play besides the road and what parent wants their kids playing in the road? We were so excited to see every spot paved, but realized quick that paved isn't always level. I went to do a load of laundry and walking up, I could see how nice the washers and dryers looked through the windows! After looking in the detergent compartment, I was rather hesitant about starting a load and decided to wait and do all of our laundry at home. On the plus side, this place had the best wifi we've had at a campsite, so we were at least able to entertain our toddler in some way. read more

Bear Cove Village - Fishing pond was our favorite - Campgrounds Near Me - Pigeon Forge, Tennessee

We reserved a rental RV for Jellystone Pigeon Forge, TN from Tuesday, Nov 21 through Sunday, Nov 26. We were assigned site 58. Upon arrival we noticed the RV was dirty. The floor was sandy and dirty. The blinds are dirty with dust and with splatter on them- it's unknown what the splatter is. A few of the blinds are broken and can't be raised. In addition, here is a listing of the issues with RV site 58. There is molding missing on the wall. When you open the couch there is food and garbage under it. Bed sheets were not changed as we found a fake nail on the bed. There was also a fake nail on the ground. Used bedding was put in a closed cabinet and there was nothing extra to use on the couch as we did try to use the couch since the beds are small and uncomfortable. Vents are covered in dust. The vent fans are covered in bugs and dust. Doors are falling off the cabinets. Drawers and cabinets are falling off and can't be closed. There was only enough dishes for 3 people. The office did provide more the second day. The benches on the table will not stay on the Velcro and keep sliding off. The cable/TVs have not worked even though we have asked several times for assistance. The refrigerator leaked. We have asked for maintenance multiple times and it has not been fixed. The half toilet broke Thursday with water gushing on the floor. The area was never disinfected and no one came to clean up all the towels that were left to deal with the water. The camper smelled. Additionally due to the concern of unsanitary conditions from the leak, my kids and I did not sleep in the RV Friday night. A fellow camper allowed us to stay in their extra space in their personal camper. Thursday night/Friday am the heat stopped working and only cold air was coming out of the vents. It was close to 40/50 degrees in the RV and had to call emergency again. He determined both propane tanks were empty and changed them. When we discussed this with the office, they notified us that the tanks last 12 hours. As we turned off the heat when we left both days, didn't cook much, only took one shower and had the heat at the two nights previously at 70, it doesn't make sense that we had full tanks on Tuesday night. Dishes were dirty and put away with food on them. Inside of cabinets need a deep cleaning in bedrooms, bathrooms and kitchen. Outside refrigerator does not work. The screen on the back door is broken and will not seal so you cannot leave it open. The door attached to it looks like someone tried breaking in and would not close unless you locked it. There was duct tape covering lights. Towels have holes in them. The shower head leaks. The coffee maker doesn't work on its own. You have to hold it down through the entire process with high pressure in order to brew a cup. If you let off at all coffee will not brew and you have to start all over again. We chose this location on the reputation of Jellystone and your reviews were good. Unfortunately for us we did not experience a positive stay. It is not a comfortable living space. Beds are brutal with no padding. read more

We enjoyed our stay. We rented the cabins up on the hill & asked for cabins side by side. Upon arrival, we weren't placed that way. The person checking us in moved the reservations around & we were accommodated. The cabins are basic, clean & well maintained. I wouldn't recommend couples staying in the same cabin; but would be fine with a young family. You can purchase ice, wood, pizza & small items from the main check in cabin. It's a dog friendly campground. We didn't bring ours, but all the other dogs seemed to be happy & enjoying themselves. The park is at the back of Dollywood & short drive to the park. You can watch the fireworks from the cabin easily and hear the train run. I would bring a comforter or thick blanket. My only hesitation is you cannot control who your neighbors may be while on property & some of ours weren't the greatest. read more

Customer service here is absolutely trash. I called 4 hours away to finish paying for my cabin stay and they gladly took my payment and advised me when I arrived that my cabin had no water and that they had been working on it all day. When I got to the cabin they didn't even have the heat tape plugged in. The cabin TVs were not working and they sent maintenance to check it out and I had to explain to him that the coaches cables were missing and had to instruct him to get an extension cord to help with thawing the water. He came into my cabin with my 4 nieces all under 6 with no mask on even though there is a mandate in the county. The dishes were filthy, there was 1 fork, missing light bulbs, the deck was covered in 2 inches of ice which was a huge hazard and was never addressed. Through all of this I tried to be kind to those in the office because the weather was not their fault but it was not mine. They have zero customer service experience, they didn't offer anything to help my stay be more enjoyable, they just kept saying we have told the manager and they should reach out to you. I only was able to get a response from somebody after I did the research for corporate information and the local management has yet to reach out to me. Corporate doesn't give a damn either because they just responded with they can't control the weather and they won't offer me any sort of compensation even though my entire stay there I had no water. I even asked if I could check out and go get a hotel instead and they told me they would reach out to the manager to see if they could refund if I checked out early and I never heard back. Horrible service and I would recommend you sleep in your vehicle before coming here. If I get any sort of response from there I will update this post. read more

The location and staff were great. We have been going to a Jellystone Park for the past 7 years for vacation. My kids look forward to it every year. We always been happy with our visits. This year was not as great. This site does not have all the amenities as the other parks we have experienced over the years like water slides, jumping pillow, movie nights, candy bar bingo, etc. The glamping tent was great but there was just not a lot to do for the kids. Thankfully Dollywood and the Water Park was near. Wasn't planning on doing both but the kids got bored really quick. read more

If you cancel your reservation at this place they will take your refund and credit to an account for a possible future stay. That is complete and utter trash. He became angry and received his money 2 days later back to his bank account. How is it called a refund if it is placed into an account Pigeon Forge Jellystone holds on to and not send directly to you. Also why aren't the procedures for this not posted. The glamping tents are not handicap accessible to the bathhouse. There is a steep hill and no way for my boyfriend's elderly mother to make to the bathroom at night without waking us up to take her. This is not posted anywhere on the website. When told this, the ladies offered an upgrade.....for an extra $200+!!! This is horrible customer service! We also arrived after hours and our packet was no where to be found. No one answered any of the phone numbers listed. We had no clue what we were supposed to do!! Awful place. And House keeping supervisor a JENNIFER is the kindest most sincere person I've ever met. Colton has such great manners and very happy I got to me him . My father died and I called to cancel reservation because my mother cannot stay by herself and cannot travel with. I was told it had to be 11 days before arrival. meh. Not typical Jellystone quality. The office staff was SUPER nice and accommodating to our crazy special last minute circumstance, we were traveling with family. But to write and honest review is my goal here, if i were picking a place of my own this would not be it. I Give it the 4 stars because the staff, in my experience and as far as our needs went, were great. More on the jellystone quality...the park is small, packed and one way in and one way out. If someone is hooking up, you gotta wait because there is no room to go around. huge inconvenience. We ignored the one way signs a couple of times and just went the other way, it was that or wait 30+ on the yaywho, who was hooking up their truck before they were ready to pull out. The paved sites are nice and big but the space between standard sites is tiny. The location to PF activities was great, we found we were 2-4 miles form most things. One annoying factor that contributes to the lacking star... the inconsistent covid precaution compliance. It does not hurt my feeling that none of the staff was not wearing masks, not one bit, what did hurt my feelings is that the laundry was closed "because of CDC guidelines". read more

This was definitely not what we expected from a Jellystone. We had stayed at another one that was almost like staying at a fancy resort. Our site was very tight even for our small 17ft travel trailer. I have no idea how others had their giant 5th wheels parked. Our slide out was practically touching our neighbors awning. The staff at the campground wasn't overly friendly which was a bummer. That was one of the main reasons we were drawn to stay at another Jellystone as our previous experience was top notch! Although our stay was not terrible, I don't believe that we will book at this campground again. The location is great but the small spaces and lack of friendly customer service will have us searching for a different place to stay. read more

We booked a site based on their website pictures and information. What we didn't know was that site 87 is in the "hood". Once you get past site 60ish, the places changes from cute to homeless encampment. Just driving thru to find our spot made us feel uneasy and not wanting to actually sleep there! The spots are TINY and difficult to navigate into. Because the sites are so short, there's no place to park your vehicle except in the roadway, so that makes it very difficult, if not impossible to back into your spot. We contacted management and explained that we felt the place was unsafe, the area was filled with run down, broke down campers/vehicles, and we refused to stay. We asked for a refund due to the uninhabitable conditions. Did they provide the requested refund? NO. In fact, they are charging us a $20 fee for cancelling!!! What?!?!? They have our money for the site, and are going to charge an ADDITIONAL $20 for us to NOT stay there. Mind you, there were at least a dozen empty sites! Terrible. Awful. As two (armed) adults we did not feel safe, I couldn't imagine staying there with kids!! read more

We've stayed here twice now and been happy both times. This is not a very big campground and there aren't a ton of activities but really, do you need them when you're in this area? Paved spots and yes, you're close to your neighbor but we've had much, much worse. Two swimming pools and a nice office/shop. The bath house is really nice and well maintained. You have a shower/toilet combo to yourself instead of the row of showers like some campgrounds. I like that it's slightly off the beaten path so it's nice and quiet but it's a quick drive into town. Will definitely stay again if in the area. read more

From the time I called, to departure time,the staff was very helpful and friendly. They even went to check on my dog, when I had worried about her. Very nice peaceful setting, not far from the main drag. Easy to get to. Met and had pictures with Yogi. Nice paved sites. Laundry room was clean. I ordered pizza from here. Was a good pizza! Was our first time staying there and we had a great time. Bath house was always clean and pool was clean. Place to wash clothes and they have Hunts Pizza there was good for a easy night of not cooking. Staff was nice and easy to speak to they kept trash cleaned up. read more

Bear Cove Village - Campgrounds Near Me - Pigeon Forge, Tennessee

We spent a week here, including the Independence Day holiday in 2021. We rented the Cindy Bear cabin, #70. It is spacious enough to house 4 people; includes (sketchy) WiFi and satellite TV; the refrigerator and a/c units are nicely sized and work well; there are several Adirondack chairs outside situated around an outdoor fireplace... and that is the limit of the good things. Here comes the bad... though the staff was nice at check in they were otherwise mostly unhelpful and unprofessional. In fact, one lady complained to us about us going to the office to exchange towels. Speaking of towels, you should bring your own as those provided are old, very scratchy, and not absorbent. Dishes and dish soap are provided but the sinks struggle to drain and dirt literally come out of the faucets when you run water. The in cabin shower is tiny and anyone taller than 5' 8" will be challenged in getting rinsed off. Beware that the campsite is crowded/ cramped outside and there are people that obviously live here. Don't surprised to encounter a lot of "white trash". Another item to be aware of is the lie that there is a stocked fishing pond near by and fishing gear available for use/rent. No fish in the pond and no equipment to rent... though you can purchase it. My last word of caution is to not leave any food or drink items out, even if sealed.
