WHEN ALL ELSE FAILS…read more.. After striking out with the local restaurants, I threw in the towel and decided that I would just go to the grocery store for something simple. The deli was already dismantled so we literally grabbed some noodles, My husband actually thought that he should look for their "Asian" section before I actually snapped him back to reality. Poor misguided thing, he actually thought that with the exploding Asian population in Cairo, this store would have a special section just for Asian cuisine. I grabbed some basic chicken noodles that I have not eaten in years and they were actually the best thing I have eaten in the past couple of days outside of my own homemade soups. Even though our purchase was very simple, the cashier was sweet enough to scan her courtesy card for the in-store specials. Customer service was quick and polite. Thanks Harvey!

This one has everything we've grown to love about this upscale southeastern chain, meaning folks in this part of the panhandle will no longer have to drive into Tallahasee for there specialty food needs. Plenty of parking. Easy to get in and out of, even with an oversized vehicle. Great selection of meats, seafood, produce and groceries. Awesome deli filled with great food to eat here or take home. Friendly, helpful staff in all departments and at checkout.

Okay, that is personal, but this is a fact: this store manager who, shall I say, is on the healthy side of plump, spends more than his fair share of time lingering in the deli/bakery department and once in a while he will put cookie dough pieces on a baking tray to make use of himself. Problem is, he has butter-fingers, and a "ten second rule", what I am saying here is that your cookies, or donuts -or anything that the store has to prepare- MAY HAVE fallen onto the floor at one point but carelessly picked back up and tossed onto the baking rack which ended up in an unsuspecting customer's cart and, eventually, stomach. The floor. Think about this for just a moment- deli employees (and managers, for that matter), have to use the restrooms, too. Their shoes walk on the restroom floors. Deli floors. Enough said. This store manager's name is Barfield. Beware the manager who prizes profit over customer well-being. He has no business in this business.
