I would love to support local and shop at our locally owned Pig, but they are way too expensive. They are selling small town quality groceries at Whole Food prices; basically gouging folks for their hard earned money. Every time I have visited I have not completed my list because they are asking way too much. As a local who lives within 5 mins of the pig I often find myself driving an hour to Publix in PC to save money on groceries and not feel like I am being ripped off by a store that has a monopoly on the area. read more

Way overpriced for groceries. Absurd. Also the associates that work there have the hardest attitudes and are super rude. Especially the old lady in the deli. I just go to the dollar store instead for food. No point in paying the absurd prices and getting someone's anger. read more

We are from Dothan,AL and have been in quite a few Piggly Wiggly's. AKA the Pig. This is a Pig on steroids. Loved it! Great selection with fresh seafood at a reasonable price, produce was huge and the Blue Bell ice cream selection over the top. Staff were friendly and helpful. Store was clean and aisles were wide. After several years of occasionally shopping at "the pig", I'm confident in saying that this small town supermarket will satisfy most of your grocery needs. They went through a fairly extensive renovation a couple years ago and added quite a few new items and a much larger full and self-serve deli department. The seafood department is solid and they will steam your fresh shrimp while you wait. The best thing that's happened in recent months is they've added fresh sushi, rolled daily... and it's damned good! The in-store and checkout service can be a bit hit & miss and you won't find any beer, wine or alcohol on site, but beyond that, it's the best you'll do for groceries and fresh produce within 45-60 minutes of here. read more

Small town supermarket but definitely have whatever you need to make a quick meal while on vacation. They also have sushi they make fresh daily. I found a nice Amish butter it was delicious I decided to buy some more to take home with me. I highly recommend this store. read more

This Piggly Wiggly has really nice people working and they are so easy to work with when a return needs to be made. Unfortunately, we needed to make more than one return and I've never had to do this with any grocery store. Our ground beef was bad after a day. Our hamburger buns were completely molded. Our lemon molded in a day. Finding a decent onion in the big pile of onions was a very difficult task. The good news? Despite being completely ravaged on a Sat evening, they had almost everything we needed. They also carry pretty unique things that we wouldn't have expected to see. read more

They have boars head deli selection and the produce is fine. 30% uplift on everything. Whole Foods prices at piggly standards. It will do the job, since it is your only option. We are visiting Port St. Joe for a month and stopped in to the Piggly Wiggly to pick up some essentials like milk, juice, etc. I could not believe the exorbitantly high prices in this store! My husband and I are retired military and we have traveled all over the world. The prices in this grocery store are some of the highest I have ever seen and compare to those in downtown major cities like Washington D.C. and London. We will not be going here again. I urge everyone to find someplace else to shop. read more

This store is always busy on turn days (Saturday and Sunday) and shelves may be less full on those days with all the traffic. However, come on Monday and they are usually stocked back up. What I like most about this store is that it's family run and they have good customer service. I'm sure there is a bad apple every now and then based on previous reviews. However, they have always been helpful to our family. The cashier this evening was delightful to talk to so I just needed to share our great experiences there over the 11 years we've been coming to Port St Joe / Cape San blas. read more

I am shocked that the reviews are not all 5 stars. Shocked. We have been coming to this store for 12 years and the selection blows me away. They have gourmet items that I would never expect to be in a beach town store, and a wide variety of gluten free and specialty choices. When I have requested special items, they were ordered promptly for me, with courtesy and caring. I wish the customer service were this good in Atlanta. Three cheers for the Pig! And 3 cheers for the wonderful people who work there!!!! Ironically, the day I wrote this, the cashier on station 4 at 6:15 on Sept 4th, 2016 was dreadful. Unfriendly and downright mean. This was the only Grocery store near our rental and unfortunately we had no choice but to come here and stock up on food. This place had a very small inventory of everything. They were running low on water. They only had one kind/brand of water bottles in a case. A lot of items were over priced and the produce was ridiculously expensive and not even fresh. Everything looked old and grungy. For the sake of not eating at McDonald's the whole week, we did manage to buy a few things to hold us over for the week. I do not think this grocery store would pass an inspection but when you only have 1 grocery store in a 20 mile radius you really have no choice... read more

Chaos, empty shelves, and high prices, this grocery store has it all. Oddly, there is a pretty decent selection of cheeses a deli with Boar's Head meat, but no one there to slice anything for you. For most provisions, you are better off going to the marginally better Dollar General Market up the street. read more
