Even though it was crowded when I picked up my order , the process was smooth and they even had someone directing traffic. I can't wait to try my wagyu steak ; the quality of the meats seem amazing & worth the cost! The staff I encountered, were all nice and wearing protective gear , so I really appreciated this!

The quality is over the top. The Cheese sections is an old friend that had a cheese and sandwich shop in Pisitz some time ago. Glad I found him again. It is also nice to have fish selections so close to my home. The real deal is the meats. If you are looking for a bargain, you are in the wrong place. If you are looking for great quality, look no further. I am like a kid in a candy story when I walk in. I grew up in New York and this place comes closest to what I remember. For leas than $60, i received ground beef, leg quarters, drumsticks, chicken wings, tilapia, bread, a 2 little drink, 6 frozen pizzas, a box of corn dogs, chicken nuggets (that taste just like McDonalds), hash browns, and a bag of biscuits. I took one of my items off and replaced it. You are allowed to remove two items per package. The meats appear to be freshly cut in store and that's one of the reasons I love coming here. They also have prepackaged meats, pizza, and other snacks available for purchase. They sell vegetables, but I never purchase them from here. If you're in the neighborhood, check it out. It's a small local store that has been around for decades.

The dairy section is small, but I should probably eat less dairy anyway. I enjoy walking around and seeing all the fun packaging (I tell myself I'm not falling for marketing gimmicks, just appreciating good design). The had some chicken breast and coffee creamer on BOGO free deals that I scooped up. The people at the check-out lines are always so nice. I believe there's a discount for UAB employees, too.

Pick up was simple at the deli counter with one lady running back and forth with each person in line. The sea bass cakes had minimal pieces of fish, the filet mignon that I sous vide at 135 and seared tasted gamey and bloody. The asparagus came in a bag to be microwaved and the mashed potatoes just needed to be warmed. Wished the asparagus were actually prepped with the ends removed. Not sure if my husband and I will do this again. Will probably piece meal the parts together and prep the meat and veggies appropriately since we have to cook it all anyway. The chocolate heart desserts were the best part.

All of their products are handmade in small batches. This is certainly some of the highest quality chocolate I've had, and it's a bonus since it's a small, locally owned business. The inside of the store is super small but they have a lot of options. It's a tad expensive BUTTT I'm willing to splurge since it's a small business that only sells high quality items. They also have samples out (at least for each time I've visited). And they et me take a pin for free since I made a purchase!
