Nice place to walk around with plenty of restaurants. The parking garage is nice and has red/green lights to show you where empty spots are. Be careful in the garage as people come around corners in. Both lanes.

I absolutely love Pike and Rose! I feel that it offers options for everyone. You want fast casual dining, there's that or something more upscale, that's available too. I remember when this place first opened and how impressed I was. Years later and I'm still impressed, to be honest. I'm a longtime Moco girl and I like having these great options closeby. I remember going to iPic and thinking, "Wow, this was literally the best movie theater experience I've ever had and I don't ever want to go to a 'regular' theater again." Ordering food and drinks on an iPad and it being delivered right to our seats. Fancy Schmancy!! I love that there's a Fogo here now! It's one of my favorite locations in the DMV. Service there is always top-notch! Recently I was here to grab food from Nandos and I noticed there's a hotel here - Canopy. Is that new? Either way, I'm definitely looking into that for a staycation : ) Right now due to the pandemic, things haven't been the same and some places are still closed or severely limited, but I'm looking forward to the day when we return to a more "normal" life!

If you live in the area Pike and Rose is a great place to bring friends and family from out of town or meet up with friends for a quick bite. There are many great shops and restaurants squished into this area. On the weekend they have a really great farmers market to check out. Also they decorate real cute for the holidays. The parking situation is could really improve on weekends there are barely enough spots for everyone to park. Also the parking garage under the movie theater has EV spots but no chargers which is absolutely pointless. If the area right next to pinstripes was turned into a garage that would improve the situation a ton. I am also not a big fan of paying to park after the first 2 hours. I never feel like I can totally relax and enjoy my time here because in the back of my mind I am wondering how long I've been parked. Sure it's only few dollars but the majority of places around the area have free parking all the time.

It's beginning to look like the Holidays at Pike and Rose. The trees on the streets have been decorated with holiday lights. The shop windows are happy and bright, with holiday displays. Pike and Rose, is basically a small city created where an old shopping plaza use to stand. It was recreated into something more dynamic and vibrant, with apartment buildings, restaurants of all kinds, a movie theater, performances hall, a hotel, and shops. It's truly filled the space left, in the White Flint and North Bethesda Area, by the demise of the White Flint Shopping Center. Personally, it's my favorite spot, if I want to take in an end of week Happy Hour. It has an abundance amount of choices, offered by the many restaurants that call Pile and Rose their home. Plus, one can get into some shopping, at the various stores located at P & R. If you want the feel of a city, without the crime, dirty and congestion check out Pike and Rose.

I've only seen the area from the highways that are tree lined. I am quite amazed by how out of touch I was for this area. This mall is quite expansive. The one thing I love about the DMV area is that the malls are still thriving. Not to the point where every single store is filled, but no where near dead mall territory. I had some time to kill before I had to head back home and wanting to pick up some items. Parking here had me. I wasn't sure where would be the best place to park. I ended up in the outdoor lots and didn't even want to mess with the parking structure. As a note, early here means you will encounter a slew of parents with their children in tow. Be careful and mindful in the parking lot as they will be everywhere. The mall had a bit of everything in here. The typical anchors and national chains you would expect to find in a mall. Food court area was jammed with eateries and customers. I opted to not eat here. Would definitely come back. Especially on a lazy day. Good people watching, enough stores to grab whatever you might be thinking of getting, and ample parking.

Barns&Nobles was the main attraction for this shopping area with Starbucks being an added bonus. People then traveled to other spots of this shopping center. Chick Fill-A was the newest building to be added before I moved to Virginia.  I never saw the grand opening, but I did try the chicken the next time I was in town. Last weekend I was back in Rockville area and saw the Barns&Nobles sign wasn't present.  I saw the Starbucks Coffee sign and started wondering if Barns&Nobles went out of business.  I did not notice that the business had moved to Congressional Plaza.  Why the move? Could be a number of reasons.   I remember when Montrose Crossing went by another name, but just like the name Berenstein Bears, it no longer exists.  I also don't remember the name it use to be called. My mom loved shopping at Marshlls for clothes and whatever else she could find. As a kid, I found shopping for clothing very boring.   Yes, most male kids and some females too found shopping for clothes boring.  Now I am left with memories from a time I would go shopping with my mom.  As the song goes, "you don't what you got till it's gone."  Yes, those were good times, even if I did not see it that way at the time.  Without the Barns&Nobles to headline the main attraction,  I think the decline for this shopping area will show up bigtime during the summertime of 2021. Time will tell.

I might then  walk over to the Tower Records and buy a movie soundtrack or a necklace.      These two places  were high on my list. There even use to be a movie theater here, but that went the way of the dodo. Speaking of going the way of the dodo, Tower Records also went that way too. The space for the old Tower Records has been taken up only to shutdown two times that I can remember.  Today I learned that Barns&Nobles has taken up residence there. Even though it is only one floor,  the space is huge.  Tower Records had some problems filling the space, but they did it with the jewelry section, the adult videos/magazines section and the standard magazine sections.   I think Barns&Nobles won't have a problem filling the space.  I know there is a Starbucks store at Congressional Plaza akready,  but I have a feeling another one might be added inside the Barns&Nobles store at some point...if there isn't one already. I will have to check out this plaza the next time I am in town. I wanna see the inside of this Barns&Nobles; as well, as other areas of the plaza.
