I let the instructor know before class that I endure a lot of pain from scoliosis and how certain exercises cause neck pain, and she provided safe and effective moves that left me feeling rejuvenated and without any pain. Lucky for me, the other studio didn't call me back until after I booked 3 privates at Fusion. After my first session, I signed up for 2 more, for a total of 5 privates while I was in town. I've had a lot of private training and private pilates classes, and Amy is one of the best. Amy is compassionate, knowledgeable and a true teacher. She was mindful of my issues and gave me so many take-aways for me to use on my own. She also used some amazing heated props that helped loosen muscles and bring awareness to specific areas. So, if I was to continue walking straight and feeling good about myself, I had to commit to something, but what? Luckily I worked with a woman a few years older than I who suggested I meet with Nicole of Beyond Pilates of Boone. I did, I committed and I'm stronger now than I was in my 20's and my back pain is gone. I gained strength, stability, flexibility, balance, and stamina and I continue to improve and learn. Nicole and Parker are educated in human anatomy and weave that knowledge into the training so that I now have a better understanding of my body and my issues. Each session you are asked what issues you're dealing with so your duet or private session is tailored to your needs. The equipment is always set according to your size and ability, and Nicole and Parker are always, always watching to make those slight adjustments in your position so you are performing the routine correctly (i.e. you don't hurt yourself!)
