There are other golf courses within driving distance that don't have this mentality.

I've played there a time or two since, and had great experiences each time. The course is challenging, the greens are tough and fast, and I love that they have multiple tee locations (white, orange, brown, and black--not counting seniors/ladies), so that the course gives you multiple experiences depending on where you want to play from that day. One caveat is that the course uses a dynamic pricing model based on supply and demand, and since golf has blown up recently (and since the course is in a super high-income part of Tennessee), the greens fees are a little out of my personal price range. I am only able to justify playing at the GolfNow "Hot Deal" rate, which will get you on the course for about $50 or so. At this price, the course is an excellent, excellent value. And given how busy the course is, I'm actually surprised they offer the Hot Deals through the GolfNow app, so I'm assuming that offer could go away at any moment. Golfers should take advantage of it while they can. For me personally, the full greens fees of ~$100 is not a good value, so I can't recommend it at this price. But if you can find a deal for $50-$65 (including the cart), you'll be more than pleased.

"Sorry all booked up and the back 9 is closed" You don't have any room anywhere to fit a 2some in? "Nope all booked up with 4somes." At 7:55 a 4 some OF WALKERS is the first to tee off. At 8:05 6 people on the tee box. Clearly some geriatric boys club booking all the Sunday tee times so that no one else can play. My grandpa and I could have teed off at 7:45 and been on hole 3 by the time the first 4some made it to 1st green. Truly absurd and me nor my grandpa who lives 3 miles away will ever be back.

The hospitality matched the views, with a warm and friendly staff that made our personal tasting--shared alongside a lovely couple visiting from England--truly special. We explored the tasting options among three of us: Red Flight: Chosen by my father. White Flights: Enjoyed by both my sister and me. Sweet Selection: An alternative flight offering a mix of red and white options. Wine is wonderfully personal, and while I appreciated their selection overall, the whiskey-barrel-aged wines weren't quite to my taste, as I generally prefer wines aged in oak or stainless steel (especially whites). A Helpful Tip for Visitors: While there are handicap parking spaces, we found the walk up to the tasting room a bit challenging for our mother due to back issues. We later discovered a couple of parking spaces closer to the entrance, as well as a staircase. Thankfully, we were able to drive up the hill to pick her up afterward, sparing her the walk back down! After our tasting, we relaxed outside with a picnic lunch we brought ourselves. All in all, I truly enjoyed our visit and would love to return for one of their concerts. As a fun bonus, one of the co-owners is Kix Brooks from Brooks & Dunn! If you've never been to Arrington Vineyards, it is definitely worth a stop.

We stopped inside the winery to browse the wine selection. You can purchase bottles to enjoy on-site or order a flight if you'd like to sample a few different varieties. They also offer snacks, water, and a selection of wine-themed merchandise for anyone looking to take home a souvenir. After making our selections, we headed outside to a picnic table with a beautiful view of the vineyard and the mountains in the distance. The scenery was absolutely gorgeous! Everywhere I looked, people were enjoying themselves. Some groups had elaborate picnics set up, others were dancing to the live music, and many were simply relaxing with friends and family. The atmosphere was such a vibe, and I loved every minute of it. After a couple of hours of wine, conversation, and beautiful views, we were ready to head out. One of the golf cart drivers was kind enough to give us a ride back down the hill to our car, which was the perfect ending to a relaxing afternoon. Coupled with that, none of us view Nitro as our primary income source. Good running trail…read more The trail here is great for walking or running. The first part of the trail makes a loop and it is pretty flat. If you feel adventurous and take the trail further then you will go behind a school and up a really fun hill to the library. It is about two miles if you go to the library and back to the parking lot. There are soccer nets on the field for the local kids soccer teams to practice and play. The local farmer's market can be found here on Tuesdays and Fridays from 7am to 1pm. I'm usually working during those hours so I haven't been able to check out their produce.
