Towhee Club has quickly become one of my favorite places since moving to Spring Hill. I've played here twice now, and both rounds have been great. The course is always in excellent shape, with well-maintained fairways and greens that roll true. The staff has been friendly and welcoming every time I've visited, making the whole experience even better. The pace of play has been good, and the layout is fun for golfers of all skill levels. You can tell they take pride in keeping the course in top condition. If you're looking for a great public course in the area, Towhee Club is definitely worth checking out. I'll definitely be back for many more rounds. read more

I got to play this course for the first time a few weeks ago and was very pleased. The clubhouse is very nice, and the staff all seem polite and helpful. I've played there a time or two since, and had great experiences each time. The course is challenging, the greens are tough and fast, and I love that they have multiple tee locations (white, orange, brown, and black--not counting seniors/ladies), so that the course gives you multiple experiences depending on where you want to play from that day. One caveat is that the course uses a dynamic pricing model based on supply and demand, and since golf has blown up recently (and since the course is in a super high-income part of Tennessee), the greens fees are a little out of my personal price range. I am only able to justify playing at the GolfNow "Hot Deal" rate, which will get you on the course for about $50 or so. At this price, the course is an excellent, excellent value. And given how busy the course is, I'm actually surprised they offer the Hot Deals through the GolfNow app, so I'm assuming that offer could go away at any moment. Golfers should take advantage of it while they can. For me personally, the full greens fees of ~$100 is not a good value, so I can't recommend it at this price. But if you can find a deal for $50-$65 (including the cart), you'll be more than pleased. read more

The course is coming out the winter in good shape. Greens are great and the fairways are coming in now that the weather is warming up. One suggestion. You guys should open the grill at 7:00 and serve breakfast sandwiches in the morning. When we have an early tee time we can't get anything and even at the turn it's still closed. We have been having our corporate Golf outing at Towhee for the last several years. This year it rained 2" overnight and really created some high-water issues along the course. The staff at Towhee went above and beyond to make sure we didn't have to cancel our event. Which is great bc we had guests in from all over the country. The grounds crew made special arrangements so that we could bypass the high-water areas of the course by building a bridge. I'm not kidding. The event was only delayed a couple of hours and the day ended with sunshine and celebration. Bo and everyone involved in our event were miracle workers that day. They never gave up on us and went out of their way to make sure we were able to have a successful event. The staff at Towhee were the only ones to hit a hole in one that day! Thank you again. beautiful place and great food but one of the workers "hudson" was not very pleasant to my mom on mother's day of all days, my mom lost her sandals on the course and when she came back to find them hudson was seen throwing them around and laughing with his coworker, he was also ramming carts into another one while blasting music read more

I played with my son yesterday at 2pm. The group in front of us were so slowwwwwwwwwwwww. My son and i quit after the 7th hole and 2 hrs and 15 min. We passed a marshall twice who was on his phone not paying attention. There was nobody in front of the group they didnt care how slow they were. As much as they charge to play they need to hire marshals that do something about this. read more

Played here twice: once during summer 2021 and once during summer 2022. It was actually under construction the first time I played, but now the new clubhouse is up and absolutely beautiful. The course felt difficult and was great value for only ~$70 all-in. The range is perfect, the clubhouse is top notch, and the course is beautiful and well kept. The course plays a 128 slope and 72.9 rating from the 2nd tees (the ones I played) according to BlueGolf, but I must say it felt more difficult. I have been playing Towhee Golf Club ( formerly Kings Creek) for the better part of 3 years, and the transformation of the course over those three years has been nothing short of amazing. The course went from a course facing bankruptcy and closure into a beautiful challenging layout comparable to any public course in the Middle Tennessee area. The current ownership have spent a lot of money upgrading the entire course. The sand traps have been completly rebuilt. The greens are smooth, true (albeit kind of fast for me). The fairways are in nice shape and the driving range is in wonderful condition. They have built a beautiful new clubhouse with a full service restaurant that is long overdue, and a welcome addition. There are still some things to be done, but I have no doubt the current ownership will continue to make Towhee a destination course in Middle Tennessee. I recommend Towhee to any golfer in the area. read more

This is my second year to have a senior weekday membership and I play at least twice a week. The course is in excellent condition and is always challenging. I enjoy the layout, the clubhouse and the members. Employees are engaging, wait staff attentive, and the food product is superb. Overall a terrific experience! read more

We teed off yesterday morning at the second tee time of the day. To have a fivesome cut in front of us at the turn. I was shocked that this was a common practice according to the staff. Total bush league to have a fivesome start on the back 9. When this was mentioned to the starter he stated "what can I do that's the general manager", so let me get this straight a fivesome can just start anywhere on the course they feel like just because he's the general manager? So the "starter" can't stop a fivesome from teeing off on the back in front of other groups with a scheduled tee time. What's the point of having a starter or marshal? The ground crew superintendent says this is a common occurrence. He stated you can call the pro-shop and mention this but, no one will do anything nor do they really care. I'm sure the general manager reports to someone? Total BS. No one cared when this was mentioned. read more

Most improved golf course in all of Middle Tennessee. Great staff and great amenities. Course is in great condition, with the exception of the greens, which rate a B+. I do take issue with the pricing however: I understand they spent a lot of money getting the course in shape and building a new clubhouse, but the greens fees are WAY too high. So excited for the clubhouse to be finished. The course itself is very much on its way to 5 stars. I know it's a work in progress so I feel a 4 star rating is really unfair and I will definitely be back after the clubhouse is complete to give that fifth star. That being said... the course itself is in phenomenal shape. The fairways, greens, and tee boxes are all very well cared for. There are many bridges, almost all of which have recently been redone/refurbished and driving the cart over them is not scary or loud. There is a starter and he is amazing. Gave us the history of the course and some very good info about the layout and kept the pace of play very comfortable. The staff is all so friendly and wonderful. I think I read that the carts are new... they are in excellent shape, are electric, and have USB charging ports and rain covers for the clubs. There is also a cart girl, she comes around often, and she's super nice! The course is challenging without being dejecting. There are no real elevation changes but I honestly didn't even miss that. I'm looking forward to seeing everything the course implements when it is all finished. Right now, there are no posted yardages, and some directional signs are missing to help you get to some of the trickier-to-find holes. I'm not sure if they'll add ball washers, club washers. sand buckets, or trash receptacles on any of the holes but currently none of those things are there. It really is a course very much in progress but it is coming along nicely and I'm really looking forward to my return trip! Definitely check this course out! read more

Golf course is totally mediocre. Rough is full of weeds. Fairways are decent. Greens are good but slow. Cart paths are total trash. 45-55 dollar course. For 100 dollars I was horribly disappointed. MOST UNRELIABLE COURSE IN Tennessee. Greens have mold and are in terrible shape, fairways have only ONE Cut because the machinery is broke, staff isn't very likable, range is always closed because "No Balls" is the usual excuse. Some bridges are broke/closed falling in the river....get ready for detours. The embankments of the river near greens are dangerous and eroding into the rivers. Used to be my favorite place to practice but it's now a total dive. Arnold Palmer is rolling in his grave. Good riddance Kings Creek. I will never come back. read more

Course was extremely wet and bare. Not unexpected for this time of year. However the greens are terrible. They were extremely slow and EVERY cup was not flush to the green, raised about a 1/4 of an inch. Will not drive this far to pay this price for a sub-par golf course. read more

I've played this course many times through the years, but I will not be back. For years it has been overpriced for the product, but after the recent rate increase, I can no longer justify playing there. For $86 you get a 45 minute drive from nashville, no water on the course with 106 degree heat index, no complimentary range balls, a closed bar, porta-potties as the course restrooms, and construction all throughout the course to enjoy. It is also conveniently located next to a sewage treatment plant, so you get to enjoy the aromas as you play. Not to mention there are hardly clear yardage markers, no ball washing stations, and plenty of ground under repair. It is priced higher than the premier public courses that are actually close to Nashville, and doesn't even compare to the experience you receive at those courses. Even the employees agreed with how overpriced it was when we were shocked at the price. Again, after playing this course many times throughout the years and recommending many people play this course, I will never play there again and recommend that nobody else wastes their money on this course. You would be much better off at somewhere like Hermitage Golf Course or Gaylord Springs where you pay a similar price, but in return are closer to Nashville and receive a country club experience! read more

This place was a 4.5* track in 2013, very nice! It's changed owner/mgm't several times since then and it's really an awful course now. Warrior golf has ruined it, at least they're in charge now. I thought they made golf clubs? You should stick to that b/c warrior you suck @ managing golf courses. Played here yesterday & the course is very bad. I feel awful for the employees, their hands are tied. Too charge more than $30 is a crime, they charge $45. W/covid still going on they make you ride carts together, if you don't they charge more for your own cart on top of the $45. Anyhow, if you like weeds, crabgrass, high grass on tees, very slow & bumpy greens them maybe this place is for you. Greens are showing signs of being burnt out or diseased and did I mention slow & bumpy...yeah real bad. Maybe their greens are bent grass which can burn out but c'mon they're very bad. Greens are riddled with ball marks & you need a driver to putt the ball, sooooo slow. The only highlight are The fairways they're good for most part but can't tell fairway from the rough. With family living nearby, we decided to try this course out with a Groupon and were glad we did not pay a lot to play here! We saw this course being built in early 2000's and had such high hopes since it was deemed to be an Arnold Palmer course. After playing this course, yesterday, I am seriously considering ditching the extra Groupon I have... this course is just in too much rough shape. Construction vehicles have damaged some of the greens (ex. 13th), cigarette butts everywhere, mud and standing water... even in the sand traps and the driving range is full of divots. This course is too expensive without a Groupon. No real club house. A tent to sit in is as fancy as it gets. I see zero evidence of facelift in progress. The buildings are in need of repair and paint. There are too many decent and fair priced golf courses within driving range to waste a day here. The ONLY reason I gave two stars instead of one is because of the staff. The staff is AWESOME and I feel so badly for them having to keep professional in a poorly run golf course. read more

Update: Still insane prices but there is a mistake in the original post. The price on the weekend if you book online after 4pm is $55, not $75. Still high for a twilight rate. I played Saturday because Henry Horton just aerified and I had to wait almost 15 minutes for them to restock range balls after checking in. Still very pricey. You should do what Franklin Bridge used to do - if you're gonna charge that much, include a small bucket and a lunch with 2-3 choices of sandwich, chips and a fountain drink or bottled water. Eventually most of the locals in Spring Hill will not be able to afford playing every weekend at over $70 a round that doesn't include range balls. Again, the pro shop staff is so nice... I don't think it's them that are setting the prices. Hope you drop them soon as I really like playing here. In the meantime, I'll mainly be playing at Henry Horton. read more

Course was in great shape and the new clubhouse is light years ahead of what it used to be. That's said, $90 for a par 70 course with 6 par 3's is silly. One is right at 240 yards? I realize all of Nashville golf has gone up, but the price alone puts it in line with the Presidents. And it's definitely not the Presidents at Hermitage. read more

We used to play here a ton, but haven't in quite some time. Played yesterday (6/28/19) and it's gone to complete poop. All bunkers are lost, grass growing in them, and no attempts to maintain them. The carts are slow and need major work. The areas overgrown and needing attention are too many to list. The store was practically empty with only a few shirts hanging. Bridge on 18 was out and you had to backtrack to 14-15 and take the bridge there to get back to 18 over the creek. We were told management was going through some changes. Hope so! Only redeeming quality was that the fairways and greens were actually in good shape. Greens were slow but good. Here's hoping the Palmer designed course recovers soon. read more

This was once a favorite course of mine, but new ownership, higher rates ($49 on weekends), and aloof management have moved it down my list. I give it 2 stars because the course, itself, is fun to play. That said, there are a lot of nice courses in the area where I'd rather spend my dollars. It's simply not a $49 course. I have since become a member at Forrest Crossing. In my opinion, they seem to appreciate my business more than KC. I had a gift certificate for use at KC. Since the course only had 9 holes open for a few months, I asked about delaying using the certificate that was going to expire in a couple of months. I was told, "No problem, that's understandable." When I did present the certificate for our foursome, the club manager simply said, "It's expired, I won't be able to honor it." Over the years I've played the course many, many times. I've set up games there with friends. At one time I was considering a membership...no longer. I haven't been on the course in 6 months. Too many options to spend dollars where they aren't appreciated! Update - A friend booked a teetime here the other day. The course played great for this time of year. We also learned the manager position is changing. Update # 2 - New management went to bat on the gift certificates and came through. Thank you, Abby. Quite a contrast from a few months ago. Played 9 holes but left early because you honestly can't tell the difference between the green, the rough or a jungle. There is two broken fairway markers in the first 8 holes. There is shrubs and tree trunks in the middle of the fairway too. Overall terrible place to golf. 30 dollars for 9 holes is nowhere near what the price should be. read more

Nice course that they've been upgrading slowly but surely. Staff is super friendly. Puttling green has maybe 5 holes so it gets crowded. The driving range floods so call ahead to confirm it's open. Twilight seems to be the best play here. read more

If you want to play an overpriced, rundown course where management barks at you for things you had no idea about, golf King's Creek. Read more below... I live locally and brought some friends over for a round on July 4th. The course has a nice design which is what interested us, but the course conditions were less than desirable. The greens had been aerated and were dried out a bit (no mention of this when I called to book the round). The fringe had many spots where they tried to replace the grass with sod but it was chunky and dying. Really bad work. But worst of all was how we were treated. I've never been treated so badly in my 30 years in playing as an adult. We were literally yelled at while in the middle of putting. It was shocking. The manager or owner wasn't happy that we parked just off the cart path a couple of feet in the shade about 30 feet from the green (it was the hottest day of the year at 98 degrees). He said that was unacceptable. Thing is, when I checked in I asked him for any tips or rules on the course and the only thing he said was to stay out of the creek. No signs anywhere about cart path only. No rules given to us from the starter. We know better than to drive too close to the greens and we were probably 30' away. I've played a lot of golf. If I deserve to be called out on something, I have no problem with that. But again, I didn't do anything I haven't done since I've been golfing - and, everyone else on the course was doing the same thing! The ranger then literally followed us around from hole to hole and we were yelled at again for driving the cart on the fairway of a long par 3. Again, no signs stating cart path only on this hole. No course rules posted anywhere. I have no problem following local rules at all. What I have a problem with is being treated like that when we had no idea we were doing anything wrong. We felt like we were being singled out because nearly everyone we saw was doing the same thing. What the owner doesn't understand is that a current customer is worth 10x more than a prospect. He lost me and my friends, plus anyone who asks me for a recommendation on where to play. Long story short, I won't be back. read more

One star is generous. Several weeks ago, on Labor Day I came to practice, but the range was closed. It's a holiday! Lots of people playing, but the range is closed. Today, onva Thursday, I come at 3:00. They had a tournament that was long over. Their door is locked, not a soul on the course, or the range. No one would come to the door. I practiced on the putting green for an hour. The door remained locked. They would not acknowledge me or anyone else. I'm through with this overpriced course. This is pitiful. read more
