The place was dirty, the bathrooms, the beverage areas and I'm sorry even the worker at the cinnamon bun stand. He wasn't using gloves, he looks like he just came from outside playing in the dirt. Would not recommend. Don't even want to look at the showers read more

This Pilot is fairly small with limited truck parking, so I'd recommend arriving early--before 4 p.m.--if you plan to stay overnight. We stop here while we are traveling because we can count on good service. A full tank of gasoline. Clean accommodations and lot. And a snack that is priced fairly. That is a big deal in this day and age and we really appreciate it very much. I would recommend, but moreover I will return. read more

Pretty small inside for a truck stop but very clean and friendly service. Gotta remember this one coming thru next time.

This truckstop is very nice and has a lot of parking for your truck. I was surprised to see that you can reserve the spot there for your truck. This place also haveThe store inside like every other truck stop. The outside is pretty clean and well maintenance. They inside the store has absolutely everything that you will need to keep on on your trip. The bathrooms was very clean and also were well maintenance. The coffee here is also good. I got here from this truck stop a cup that holds the temperature of your drink. Because every time I would get the coffee if would be cold in about half an hour. (I like to drive with an Air Condition on. Workers are also very nice and proffecional. read more

Turns out, if I pre-pay too much on my credit card, it is credited back. That is SO good to know. Thank you very friendly cashier at this Pilot store. She also gave me a "Pilot Card" which give me points every time I fill up with diesel and after I spend $500 on fuel, I get $5 off food at one of the fast food restaurant. Again, nice to know!! I like predictable, and Pilot Centers offer that. They've usually plenty of clean bathrooms, a filled and organized convenience store, an attached restaurant, and some amenities for truck drivers (shows, changing rooms, etc...). This one was no different. Don't come to these places expecting high caliber service or a speedy check out. When I visited here for a gas fill up as well as to purchase something caffeinated, the line was long and the one employee trying her best to move beyond her natural casual rhythm without too much stress. I do have to say that the coffee and tea machines were very clean and my tea tasted how it should. My cashier was congenial when I got to her and check out didn't take too long. I was on the road and ready to continue my road trip in a decent amount of time. read more

Beware of paying with credit - same issue as previously reported. $151 charge hold put on our credit card for $20 of gas. Utterly ridiculous. We do not have a Citi Visa like the previous reviewer, so Pilot's claim that this is a card policy is BS. I have seen $1 holds for gas, but $151?!?! Insane. If you ever find yourself on I-80 outside of Evanston, this is the place to stop. It is clean, has easy access on and off the freeway, and there are not a lot of truckers here. The prices were decent. The bathrooms, super clean. The Subway had a line, so we didn't wait to get a sandwich. I definitely recommend this place over the gas stations at the next exit (traveling South), as this is much less traveled and way less chaotic. read more

Same issue as a few of the other people have mentioned. I used a debit card to fill up with gas and it still has a pending charge of $151.00. It's super frustrating when the money has already been taken out of the account for the gas, but then has a pending amount for 7 times the amount actually spent. read more

CO to CA move BLOG, Day 2 Entry 1 Well its been a long, quasi interesting day. My estimate of it taking 14 hours instead of 12, to Reno was close....it took 15 hours, but I am in, w00t! Shoulders are un-bunching after clenching the wheel, hot shower done, starting my way into a bottle of wine, room service Steak Diane (no motels tonight amigos) and crashing.....tempted to roam the casino floor and party all night, but being responsible, dammit. Anyway, one token review, the rest in the morning over coffee. ***************************** Welcome to nowhere WY. Lots of truck stops and truckers. Rest stations don't have vending or coffee machines (wtf over) so refuel, pee, and grab munchies at once. btw, you can only charge $80 fuel per transaction at many places...an issue I learn when a fillup costs $150 0ooooo. Anyway, refueled here. I dressed the part - day #3 unshaven, old Levis, black tee. I switched from flip flips to Merrell trail shoes, which provens a Godsend pressing down hard for 15 hours. Anyway, a fuel topoff, and lunch. Subway is onsite. And its cheaper than San Jose. Truckers can buy a footlong, chips and drink for $5.49. I do my usual 2x meat/cheese 6" wheat, big gulp sized diet coke, and its $5...not enough to take the sting out of my fuel bill, but still. I see lots of dead critters, including a antlered buck. Cajuns should roadtrip here, the roadkill food options abound. ....until manana.... *uncorks wine* read more

Spare yourself and go to the Flying J a couple of exits west of here. Never have any of the cashiers at Pilot said hello or thank you and their hot pizza is dried out. Flying J has the same brand of hot pizza but it's not dried out and the cashiers are much nicer. read more

I like Pilots in the respect that they are mostly all laid out identically, which makes it nice when trying to find stuff quickly for gas n' gos or to hit the restrooms and the Cinnabons are kind of handy at times, as well as the restaurant they usually have tacked on, but selection is as frequently wanting at these places and the layout tends to make things bottleneck a lot more than desirable. Still, for all that, they are a usually reliable oasis for the weary (or otherwise) traveler, such as this one more or less was. read more

Just charged $151 "test or hold fee" on $27 worth of gas at Pilot J/Flying Pilot. I will NEVER buy gas at Pilot J again! This fee is FRAUDULENT, ridiculous, and is obviously a repeated tactic of Pilot J to hold thousands of dollars of unaware consumers (like I was) over the course of a few days. Our Visa representative is the one who informed me of it when I called to report a fraudulent charge. This is indeed FRAUD. I did not give permission for Pilot for this purchase or made of this random policy. read more

LESS THAN 1 STAR!!! BUYER BEWARE!!!! Since we driving to and from California/Chicago, we are always searching Gas Buddy for the cheapest fuel. Unfortunately, on Sunday, June 5, we didn't follow Gas Buddy's advice. All those gas stations seemed to be a little further than where we wanted to travel. We wanted to be off and on the interstate as quickly as possible, so we chose to go to Pilot and spend .30 more a gallon for diesel. Our car takes diesel and we only needed a little more than 1/2 a tank so we paid the higher price using our Citibank VISA. We paid and off we went. Citibank VISA alerted us that $151 was charged to our card. We immediately called Citibank (we were thinking "fraud/theft") and they told us that Pilot put a hold on our card for that much, awaiting authorization. I told Citibank to "take it off". I lost cell reception at that time and could not finish our conversation. Once we got to our hotel, my husband called Pilot's Customer Service and they claimed they put that amount on hold for EVERYBODY'S fuel credit card charge. My husband didn't believe her so he asked for her supervisor and Ms. Todd said it wasn't Pilot that put a hold on our card (basically calling her own staff a liar), it was our credit card provider. We called Citibank and talked to a manager and they said that it was indeed Pilot that added this amount to our card. Buyer Beware! This may or may not happen to you, but with so many gas stations around and with the help of Gas Buddy, why take the chance? We were on the road for thousands of miles, what if for some reason something happened and we need every penny remaining on our card including that $151? I'm writing this hoping someone could be saved the same hassle as us! read more

The fuel line was non existent which I love. Went right into a fuel island and was parked in a few minutes. Parking lot is pretty decent but I imagine it fills up fairly quickly in the evenings. The food inside was also fairly good. Will stop at this truck stop again. read more

One star for keeping their bakery goods too long. Not only was the banana nut muffin dry and hard the walnuts tasted a bit rancid. They need to keep track how long baked items have been out. Having shrink is inevitable. Once people know you keep products out too long it starts a downward spiral in turnover. read more
