Everything is yum here. I had the burger, steak sandwich, and pulled pork sandwich. The twice baked potatoes are a must. Service was fine and attentive as they were super busy. Just an FYI - this place is a dive. That doesn't negate from its flavors, however, you are going to be in a small location crowded and it is dark. So if you are expecting the best as far as decor, you won't get it here. But the food outweighs the ambiance for sure. read more

Pilot House was one of the first local places I visited when I moved to Cape for college and it continues to be a favorite of mine. Its great for stopping in for a quick drink or to have a meal with family and friends. I love the Big Hot Cheese sandwich, which has a double portion of bbq meat with pimento cheese, their house slaw, jalapenos and their fire bbq sauce. Its my go to. The Tank is great as well, which comes with prime rib meat, ham, American and Swiss cheese and jalapenos. But, up and down the menu, all the sandwiches are great, whether you want to keep it simple with a burger or spice it up with a chicken Philly or a brisket sandwich. The stuffed mushrooms are a great app, as are the onion petal basket. What is more enticing to me now is that they've gone non-smoking. Not that the smoke ever bothered me before, but it is more inviting for me now. It can get crowded as it is not a big building, especially on the weekends, so there could be some waiting involved. Its worth the wait, though, as the food that comes out of this small establishment ranks up there with some of the best I've ever had. Make time to venture out there next time you're in Cape, you'll be happy that you did. read more

The Pilot House is a good place to go after a game of golf. The BBQ is really good and so are the seasoned fries. The place is small though so seating is limited. And it can get very loud! The noise level and lack of parking are my only beefs with the place. Otherwise, definitely worth swinging in for some grub! read more

We are living in the area temporarily for a job and came across this place. We love" mom and pop" places so this was perfect for us. The food is fresh and very good! They appear to always have a steady flow with typical hours for lunch and dinner can get very busy. We consider that a compliment to them! We ordered ahead for takeout on a Friday night. Everything was amazing, namely the ribs and kebabs (which I heard run out completely early in the evenings because they're so popular) - the kebabs were de-licious! Thick pieces of meat with generous sized, very tasty veggies. The ribs tasted like those that we make at home without having to spend all of the time that's required marinating and grilling them. The vinegar coleslaw was a personal favorite, as was the bread pudding. No complaints whatsoever, on any dish/serving! Next time that I'm in that part of the country I'll definitely make a point or ordering from here again. read more

I was in town for work and coworker recommended I visit. I had the catfish only and asked them to fry it hard well done, it was seasoned and cooked perfectly. I also ordered the cheesesteak with cajun fries. The sandwich was huge I barely put a dent in it, the fries were hot and crisp. I was sitting at a table minding my business, she was yelling at workers, making fun of the majority of her customers that walked in the door, and just hands down seemed so evil.
