Stopped here to quickly top off our tank and clean our car windows off from bug splatter again. Gas is priced higher here than most other stations around. There are semi clean bathrooms inside but the people behind the counter seem to stare at you if you're not buying anything and just using the facilities. read more

Seventy years of traveling across the US, this is the worst bathroom I have seen. The Pilot at Exit 170 was filthy. The trash cabs were overflowing and the toilets and sink were filthy. read more

complaint: I stopped at the Pilot Travel Center in Florence, South Carolina (Store #62) on 12/15/2025, and the experience was unacceptable. The women's bathroom was extremely dirty. While I was doing laundry, I personally witnessed it take an hour and a half to clean just one shower, even though multiple drivers were waiting. The shower attendant, Crystal, was not working with any sense of urgency. Instead of doing her job efficiently, she was playing around and taking her time while drivers' clocks were being wasted. As a professional driver, time matters, and this level of service is completely unacceptable. I would not recommend this location to any professional driver unless you want to lose valuable hours. I will not be stopping at this Pilot again. read more

Road-weary travelers will find just about everything they need at this busy travel center, located on route 327 just off I-95 in South Carolina - exit 170. The restrooms have been recently renovated, and they are usually clean. (Much cleaner than the ones across the street at the BP/McDonald's. Trust me on this. I know from experience.) In addition to the Pilot gas station, there is also a full-service Wendy's restaurant attached to the convenience store. (Recently diagnosed with Celiac disease, Wendy's chili, which I kind of like, is totally gluten free. Ditto the baked potato.) Truckers love this place, which is one of the reasons it's always packed. In addition to the separate fueling space for semis, the all-night drivers can freshen up with a quick shower. read more

The bathroom was beyond disgusting. Every toilet was full of remnants of the prior humans visit or droplets of a liquid on the seat. The smell was foul. It was so infuriating that I didn't even buy snacks. We gassed up and moved on to another station. read more

Wendy's nuggets were hot and freshly cooked. Store is nice, friendly staff. Quite pricey though but that's to be expected. Restroom was fairly clean, except for the cob web by the toilet. Overall a decent stop. read more

Better than average pit stop on a road trip. The bathrooms are cleaner than the norm and there are slightly more food options. Could have more healthier options since that's the trend but they did have some snack bars that seemed relatively healthy. Bottom line: would stop here for a quick break if I was on the road. It could be upgraded further with more healthy food options or different trinkets other than what's available at other gas stations read more

2016 YELP Review #230: LETS GET THE BAD OUT OF THE WAY: This place needs to take better care of the restrooms. Perhaps a good portion of the blame is on the customers who take explosive dumps and somehow just walk away. What kind of animal does that? If they do that at home I would bet their wives would beat them. THE GOOD: The PhilMor Mug is a good deal ... So ask about it. They have just about everything you need for a road trip and as a trucker, you can find a decent amount of their business is set aside specifically for them. The gas pumps are always plentiful no matter which one you stop at, this one is no exception. They are covered as you would expect and the prices are competitive to low by comparison. The parking lot is always maniacal at ANY travel center. You never know how much sleep anyone has had or how many gallons of coffee they have been drinking - thus explaining the wide-eyed look perfectly. read more

Pilot was a great place for us to stop overnight in our camper trailer. We settled into a spot between trucks and safelyv& comfortably slept. Truck drivers are out there doing a job. I feel they wouldn't hurt a soul & if someone else did bother us, I envision these Good Guys coming to the rescue! M read more

If I could give it a zero I would. This station ripped us off at the pump. Our truck holds 28 gallons and we had half a tank. We topped it off and the pump said we pumped 20 gallons. Not possible. The station doesn't display state certification. BEWARE RIP OFF! read more

Travel Center may be a good term for this place but convenience store certainly is not. This place is the closest (only) business near my office so I have to stop here for the occasional coffee or energy drink. The process of paying here is horrific. The one rule in retail is that you never make the customer wait to pay. The overall disorganization in the checkout area makes me wish for those self-checkout lines that supermarkets have. I would think the over-inflated process here would result in adequate staffing. That is definitely not the case. People seem to be more involved in counting coffee cups or reorganizing potato chips than they are in clearing a line of a dozen people. Much of this is caused by the fact that the truckers are scheduling massive fueling stops and showers but that is no excuse because that is what they do here. They should be able to manage that without causing the regulars/locals to suffer. As a side note, the Wendy's located here is one of the worst imaginable. While I try to avoid all fast foods, the occasional trip here usually results in receiving an order that is prepared wrong. If you're looking for an overpriced tourist trap with poor service and substandard products all around, this place is for you. read more

A clerk walked me over to an item after I asked where it was which was very nice. The food at the adjacent Wendy's was good. About a hundred miles away, I realized my keys were missing because I had dropped them in the store. I called and the manager mailed them to me. Absolute excellent customer service!! read more

This Wendy's is not good. I waited in line only to end up walking out. I seemed like the workers didn't know what they were doing. I watched as one of the cashiers dropped the customers order. When I tried to order the clerk kept getting pulled away to pack other orders, She rang me up for the wrong item, I just turned and walked out. Reminded me of a chinese fire drill. read more

This Pilot needs some help! Bathrooms are filthy and in very bad need of renovations. Faucets and paper towel dispensers don't all function properly as well as toilets. The toilets look like they're cleaned with wire instruments - not cleaned, just scratched! We've been stopping at this Pilot for years and it just keeps getting worse. We have a Pilot rewards card that supposedly gives us discounts but seems only on gas not inside. So we each bought a soda and then decided 30 seconds later we'd like a hot dog. Sign says if you buy both soda and meal you get a dollar off. Even though the same cashier sees its us she won't honor the deal saying it has to be all in one transaction in the beginning. Really?! Good customer service would have been to go ahead and take a lousy dollar off especially for a repeat customer. ALSO, it appears our credit card was hacked at their pumps our last time thru! The manager needs to get this place back in shape or lose a lot of business. There are many Pilots/Flying J in the area to choose from.........we may not be returning. read more
