Pork tenderloin tips over rice and BUTTERED string beans. Gravy had mushrooms.

Food is always good and seasoned well. My server Matthew has to be one of the best waiters I have ever met. He never writes anything down and the food comes out exactly how we orders it. This is the second time I've had Matthew as my waiter and I am honored.

The service was amazing. Our waitress was very patient & kind. She worked with us to ensure we got everything we wanted. The ambiance of the restaurant was pleasing. Everything was nice and clean. Noise levels were mild. I ordered the marinated ribeye. It came with cheddar mash & broccoli. I'm a bit disappointed. Everything needed more seasoning. The cook was perfect, but the seasoning was lacking. I'm usually never disappointed in Starfire, but I can only say this may have been a bad day. My hubby ordered the filet and crabcakes. His filet was cooked to perfection but again, flavor was lacking. I'm a person that believes I should not have to add steak sauce to food, especially steaks. So this really bothered me. The crab cake was delicious. Our broccoli was unseasoned. My potatoes were underseasoned. Overall, it was a good meal, but I had to take most of it home so o could season it myself. I love Starfire, so I couldn't say I won't come back, mainly because this is my first negative experience, but it's only a mildly unpleasant experience. Oh, one pro tip, always get the free biscuits & ask for honey with them. Trust me!!

Souvlaki lunch special. Pork skewer, orzo rice, farmer's salad with Feta, Pita bread and tzatziki sauce.

This was so delicious. It arrived quickly and was nice and hot. The souvlaki was juicy and flavorful. Warm, soft Pita bread to dip into the tzatziki sauce, and the fresh Farmer's Salad was nice and crispy, which gave a refreshing touch to the meal. A big plate of food for a lunch portion, so big I took half home. Definitely recommended Startfire Grill

It does say Mediterranean & American cuisine but wish the Med. portion was larger in menu. It really sort of mish mash of everything on menu. $11.95 for Original Gyro is ok, the gyro is large and tasty, other half plate covered w oregano fries, not my thing. My wife had the teriyaki chicken & shrimp. The presentation was great but upon further review 5 shrimp, too much honey slathered on we're talking diabetic overload here. My beer was fine but hey it's a bottle, no draft choices. My wife's pursuit for a great Mojito was not fulfilled here. The service was pretty good no complaints there, the bill to me doesn't reflect superior food. IMO only go here if want to spend a lot of money for just ok food.

I got chicken salad mixed with hair and I'm glad I stopped eating when I did otherwise I would've had this in my mouth. Eww!

I would love to give this place five stars, however, finding a strand of hair in my chicken salad is not appetizing and I tend to get sick from their chicken salad for some reason and it's unfortunate because it's tasty. I see the parking has not improved and drive thru is very slow. That needs to be worked on because I've seen an accident. This place is it built for pick up trucks and SUV's. It's hard to get in and get out.

After a long day as a driver, I only want great food and service. I was overly impressed. I was greeted warmly with welcoming smiles. Sat immediately, and that's was only the beginning. Sydnie was my server this evening, from her first smile and words I new it was going to be a grand experience. Sydnie was knowable of the menu and even gave superb suggestions. My salad was perfect, super fresh and delicious. The restaurant was clean and extremely organized. I'll definitely try to stop here again if I get another load out of or to Florence SC.

It's the work of chef Elliott Moss, a Florence native who spent two decades building his reputation in Asheville, where he earned James Beard nominations for Best Chef Southeast in 2013 at The Admiral and again in 2017 as co-owner and pitmaster of Buxton Hall Barbecue. He came home to open this place with local partners Tim Norwood and Cooper Thomas. He's since also been recognized by Southern Living for the Florence spot. The whole hog is smoked over pecan wood in a custom pit right beside the dining room, sourced from local pasture-raised hogs. I had the giant pit-smoked pork steak -- slow-smoked, vinegar-pepper mopped, excellent. Sides were the BBQ hash and rice and the collard greens; the rice and mushroom gravy is also worth getting. Being attached to Seminar Brewing means a full lineup of house beers on tap alongside the barbecue. There are pool tables in the lounge for hanging out after eating, and soft serve ice cream to close things out. A serious pedigree behind the pit, backed up by the food -- whole hog barbecue, a working brewery, and a laid-back lounge setup all in one place.

A Florence standout worth returning to!…read more As a San Francisco Bay Area foodie, I'm always searching for restaurants that care about sourcing, seasonality and the entire dining experience. Town Hall checked those boxes for me a couple of years ago, so when work brought me back to Florence, I knew exactly where I wanted to eat. I looked at other options first, but nothing appealed to me at quite the same level. Town Hall's farm-driven, Southern-inspired menu, shareable plates and beautiful setting won me over again. And I'm happy to report: the second visit was every bit as memorable as the first. We started with the house-made cornbread and honey butter at our server's recommendation. Be warned: this stuff is dangerous. Hot, sweet and almost cake-like, with that honey butter melting into it. We promptly ordered another basket. Cocktails were equally impressive. I ordered a Sidecar, and when our server asked my cognac preference, my colleague volunteered Hennessy. Hennessy it was--and it made one spectacular Sidecar. For dinner, our server described a scallop special served over a shrimp étouffée-style preparation with microgreens. Sold. I paired that with the wedge salad because, well, I needed some roughage. The wedge came beautifully dressed with blue cheese, tomatoes, pickled red onion and bacon. The scallops were beautifully seared and tender, and the rich sauce underneath made the dish. My dining companions joined the fun with the house-made sausage, another order of the scallops, and a ribeye with French fries swapped in for the creamed corn--a little steak frites moment. Everything landed beautifully. What impressed me almost as much as the food was the service choreography. Our server was knowledgeable, personable and attentive without hovering. There was thoughtful table touching throughout the evening. Our dishes arrived together, and no plates disappeared while someone else was still eating. Those details may seem small, but polished hospitality lives in those details. We were far too full for dessert, so we called it a night--happy, well-fed and already talking about how good everything had been. Town Hall is the kind of restaurant I hope to find when traveling for work: locally driven, interesting food, strong cocktails, beautiful surroundings and service that understands hospitality. Two visits several years apart, and both delivered. If you're in Florence--or passing through South Carolina on your way toward the coast--Town Hall is worth making part of the trip. Life is too short not to eat well, sleep well, travel well and shop well. Get out there and find your next destination.

Wonderful service, got a table right away and waiter came by immediately to take drinks and appetizer order and go over specials of the day. I liked the interior layout and that you can watch the chefs prepare entrees while you dine. That alone can be entertaining if you are dining alone. Reminded me of Ted's Montana Grill. Now for the food..., everything came out quickly. We got the deviled eggs, and New Orleans Shrimp as appetizers and the flavors were amazing. I simply had to use the corn bread to dip up the New Orleans sauce after the shrimp were gone, it was had good! After appetizers I didn't want a large meal, so I got the daily scallops special. It was just the right amount. The scallops were grilled just right, and the sauce (the sauce again!) was flavorful with a mild spice kick to it. Blueberry sorbet for dessert, locally made. Will definitely be back when my travels take me back to Florence.

He was SO hospitable, sweet and genuinely welcoming. He gave great recommendations and did not steer us wrong. These days, it's not always easy to come across service like that, which made it even more appreciated. I ordered the Sunset Blush drink and it was delicious. We also got the cornbread and I'm not exaggerating when I say it was the BEST cornbread I've ever had. So soft and flavorful. The brisket sandwich was a little dry (could be because we went during closing) but still had really good flavor. The mac and cheese though... WOW. I am very picky with mac and cheese and most places miss the mark, but this tasted homemade. Easily a 10/10. My husband got the peach bourbon burger and said it was great. The kids ate everything in sight which is always a win...lastly the cinnamon roll cheesecake for dessert... phenomenal!!! Overall such a great experience and I'm really glad we stopped in!

After driving 15 hours on March 21, 2026, my husband and I were genuinely excited to try this place and planned to take our food back to the hotel. Unfortunately, the experience started off poorly and never really recovered. First, parking is extremely limited out front, which is frustrating when you're tired and just want a quick pickup. Inside, things only got worse. The front-of-house staff was shockingly unprofessional. The employee helping us clearly didn't understand her job and had to be corrected multiple times by another staff member--something no customer should have to witness. It created confusion, delays, and zero confidence in our order. We paid about $50 for a sampler, which is not cheap, and yet the same employee argued about giving us the sides because she entered the order incorrectly. If another, more competent employee hadn't stepped in, I'm convinced it would have escalated further. Even then, we never received one of the four sides we paid for. To make matters worse, we were never asked if we wanted drinks to go, and we weren't given plates, silverware, or even BBQ sauce--basic essentials for a takeout order. That's just unacceptable. While waiting, we also watched this same employee tell three separate dine-in families to go sit and wait while she stood there rolling silverware. Completely rude and dismissive. If I had been one of those customers, I would have walked out. This is the first impression customers get, and it's a terrible reflection of how the place is run. Between the disorganization, poor communication, and outright unfriendly behavior, the service was a mess. The only reason this isn't a one-star review is because the food itself was actually very good. The burnt ends and ribs were the standout--absolutely delicious. But great BBQ can't fully make up for such a frustrating and poorly managed customer experience.
