I think this is going to be my 'go to' store for when in am in need of a present or just feel like treating myself. They have a lot of very yummy local products, soaps, dishtowels, candles, silly gifts, too much to name. They also have good antiques which are going to be awesome as Christmas presents. I am going to go by on a regularly basis to see what new fun stuff they have so I don't have to rush in December when everyone is out there buying!! Antiques are reasonably priced and affordable. There is absolutely no thrift shop -- "second-hand", musty feel to this store. They also have a beautiful and tasteful jewelry selection. No signs that say, "do not touch", "do not sit", or anything. I'm pretty sure if I sat there, it would've been fine and I'm 4 times her weight. After telling off my kid, he went back to ignoring us by the register, not looking up from whatever he was reading. I lost interest in the cases, accessories, and furniture. Dogs on leashes were in the store (no complaint from me; love me some doggoes) and no one was chasing after them to not touch the furniture. Whatever bad experiences they've had with other children is no excuse to embarrass my child or make her feel like she did anything wrong, and yes, the tone clearly made her feel that way despite us cooly, and quietly leaving.
