This place is HUGE, but really crowded vendor booths, selling lots of different art, collectibles and memorabilia. Hubs found a couple of booths with well stocked, easy to search comic books, so he was happy. I found lots of beautiful pieces of MCM glass, but still not THE piece that I know will make my heart happy. A Fiesta dinnerware collectors dream! Many pieces here at prices similar to what I've seen elsewhere. A LOT of cool lamps, chandeliers and other types of lighting fixtures, including some 50s Moss lamps that feature a spinning element on the base. In all my years of "antiquing" this is the first I've seen in a booth. Very interesting. Some booths had sales posted, but it seems one booth in particular had items we collect priced MUUUUCH higher than they're worth, maybe to still get the price they want after "discount." Hmmm.... This store really insists you look EVERYWHERE! So many items hanging from the ceiling or stacked up high. Some booths looked like they came straight outta someone's home from an estate sale. We managed to make it through the whole shop in about an hour, but not without a few dizzying turns. This may not be the best place for very young shoppers that like to touch everything. Reminds me of my mom telling us 'Lead arms, glued to your sides!' when we would have to pass through the fine China and crystal department at Bullock's. Some other items you should go in to see, just to expose yourself to some unique history. On Saturday we asked the hours for Sunday; they open at 12. At 12 Sunday we were there, ready to pack up that chimnea. There was a sign on the door. "Open at 1." Arg... We waited. 110 in the shade. I love the heat, but the dogs love air conditioning. 1pm. Nobody. 1:15 the owner walked in the door. We jumped out of the car and scurried over. The door was locked. Double Arg. The owner was headed to the front door, stepped out and announced it would be a 30 minute wait and he had a pick-up. He left. We left. Third Arg. I wanted to scream, but I'm not that sort and I do not want bad juju with any purchase. Sad, we worked to get there at 12 and get on the road. I left a disappointed message and, to his credit, he left me a message apologizing for wasting our time. That action move this from an upset 1 star to a "let's try again next visit" 3 star review. Now that I finally do, it feels like I am getting a second chance to see the places I missed when I used to live here. PS HomeBoys had always been on my radar and the moment I walked in I understood why. I absolutely love the vibe of this place. The showroom feels like the perfect expression of the Palm Springs design spirit. It is bright, colorful, creative, and unapologetically mid-century modern while still feeling fresh and current. The shop was founded by interior designer Jeremy Taylor together with his partner Niels Kosman, and you can really feel that designer's eye throughout the space. Every piece feels intentional, from the furniture and lighting to the artwork and wallpaper. Nothing feels random or mass-produced. It feels curated. Palm Springs has such a strong design identity and PS HomeBoys captures it perfectly. Walking through the store feels like stepping into the kind of home you see in the iconic desert architecture that made this city famous. It is easy to imagine how these pieces would work in a stylish desert home or even a vacation rental, which makes sense because they also help stage and design homes around the area. For anyone who appreciates great interior design, mid-century style, or just wants to browse something different from the usual furniture stores, this place is absolutely worth visiting. We didn't buy anything, but I found a ton of really cool things that I wanted to take home with me. It is probably a good thing we rode to Palm Springs with our friends in a small SUV rather than our pick-up truck. I would've filled the truck! I definitely want to return with a high limit credit card. LOL! The giant Lava Lamp was rad!
