My hair is super thick and unruly; I usually cut it myself. I always end up with someone who gives me a Bob or a straight cut with no layers. The WORST experience I have had with a salon!! I am so disappointed!! I was very excited to go to Pin Up Curls, but I left crying. The hair cut was very bad but somehow how the manager handled the situation was 10x worse!! I was told I would get a call from the manager the next day, I assumed to fix things, but the manager called and BLAMED ME for the haircut. Then she asked if I wanted it fixed and at the time I did not because she had treated me so poorly and I was so upset over it, but I messaged back and said I wanted it fixed because I can't walk around with this horrible cut. Instead they have ghosted me. So now I have a horrible hair cut and the WORST experience I've ever had at a salon. Tori (my stylist) was very nice so I am disappointed it went this way. Update: I got ahold of the manager and she yelled at me over the phone saying she can't satisfy me as a costumer. All I want is my hair fixed. It has random long strands and horrible layers. And if you can't fix that then you can't do anyone's hair! The manager/owner of this salon needs to work on how they speak to dissatisfied costumers. Another update: The manager has now responded to this review in an attempt to make themselves appear professional. I can tell you the way they handled this situation was so far from professional! I do not recommend taking your business here. If you are unsatisfied they will blame you and provide no real solution. I may have gotten a refund but the fact is my hair is still ruined and I guess I just have to let it grow out now?! read more

This place was INCREDIBLE. My first time here, and I was immediately greeted by my name hand painted on their welcome chalkboard. The boutique was cute and fun to look around while I waited, since I arrived early. My stylist was named Adrian and she was great! Kind, listened well, lovely to talk to, and did exactly what I had hoped for with my cut/style. Also, what other place gives complimentary hand massages while they shampoo your hair?!? I only paid for the basic cut, which was very comparably priced to any other salon, but this experience was far superior to what I would have had elsewhere. It was relaxing and fun, and makes me want to go get my haircut more regularly. Keep up the good work! read more

Macy is a styling goddess! I have thick hair and a weird shaped head so plenty of people have given me bad hair cuts but she knows EXACTLY what to do every time I want a change with my cut it color. It doesn't hurt that this salon is SUPER NICE and I get wine or beer or soda in the chair ;) read more

I've had some GREAT experiences at this salon, but lately it's been not ideal. They took away online booking for children, and state they are a family friendly salon but only certain stylists will do kids making it hard to book. Ended up with a scheduled time, only to have the appointment cancelled the day of. The last time I was in the salon was on my birthday to get a cut and color. The color ended up very wrong. I was in the salon for a total of 5 hours (missed a nail appointment) They had to put many different toners on my hair to try and fix whatever happened. The end result looked nothing as I had hoped and looked like my original color (which I was trying to get away from) I ended up still being charged around $200 (180 for service, left a tip) The only solution was to find time in my schedule to come back in and let her try again. Since my availability is few and far between to block out 2-3 hours as a full time working mom of 3, i'm left with hair that I spent way to much on to be this unhappy. I'm sad to switch salons as the atmosphere is great and everyone is nice, but I only get to treat myself 1-2 times a year on my hair. Would recommend mostly, they at least offered to fix it if I could get back in quickly. read more

It was time to revive my hair with some early summer highlighting! I went online to book and reviewed each stylist's profile. Jessica's profile caught my eye because her profile mentioned she specializes in blonde highlights. I wasn't disappointed. I love the colors and shine in my hair! Jessica is a good listener, and she's sweet and caring as well. This salon is run very professionally. They take the time to give you a thorough consultation and I love the price confirmation before the service. The shampoo room is quiet and dimly lit. Along with the hand and neck massage the layers of stress just peel away and you leave rejuvenated feeling like this day at the salon was well worth it! read more

I went to this salon a couple times. The first time I loved it. It's a fun environment and it seems like the stylist really know what they are doing. However, when my hair was colored the second time it completely destroyed my hair. Another stylist didn't come in that day, so my stylist was rushed the whole time because she picked up some extra people that day. She did someone else's hair while mine was being dyed. I think she left it on too long and it completely destroyed it. It would have been better for my hair if I did it from a box. When I went back after my hair was destroyed, I showed her what she did. She blamed it on my shampoo??? She suggested a full condition and pushed a ton of products on me and it seemed like she was pressuring me to buy them. She didn't offer me a discount even though it was her fault I needed them. It's now a year later and i still have breakage. I have to look in the mirror everyday and see how bad my hair looks. You can fix a bad hair cut, but I've tried everything on my hair. I can understand something like this happening at a cheap salon. But if I pay $150+ per appointment, I expect my stylist's undivided attention. read more

This was my very first time coming to this hair salon. I've been meaning to get my hair cut since it's so damaged from all the heat I apply to it on a daily basis. When I first walked in I was greeted by almost everyone and asked if I had an appointment (which I did), then they proceeded to tell me where I could hung up my coat and asked me if I wanted a beverage. Of course I went with the wine (I was already In love with the place knowing they offered wine and beer as options!). They asked me if it was my first time and then took me on a tour of the place and introduced me to the owner and talked about the products they used and why. When I got my hairstylist she asked me a lot of questions about my hair; as in what I use in the shower, how I style it daily, and what I wanted done. By the end of my time there I was in such great company it was like I had known everyone for months! The environment was great and something I wasn't used to before (and I've been to a lot of hair salons). The prices were also very reasonable and cheaper than most for the amazing job they did for my thick, coarse hair! I will be moving to a new area and will make the almost 2hr drive to come back here! read more

I loved how the shop looked. I got a perm. I don't think my hair was really healthy enough for a perm. They gave me one.. she said it would be fine. my hair is very dry. the main complaint is that they gather up all of the products and tell you that you need to use the products to keep yor hair looking the greatest.. the products do not make my hair soft or the shampoo don't clean my hair... Yes I could have said no, but I felt on the spot.
