I went to local store on S Woodland in DeLand to get water tested. (I have a brand new pool only 5 months old) I do weekly checks for my surface warranty. The pool is crystal clear and has been in balance except for normal acid A new guy at store tested water and they said you have a big problem!! You need phosphate treatment which is a long draw process and expensive Tried selling me a$50 bottle to do over a 3 day process scaring me half to death my new pool was going to turn green. I understand that this can happen but couldn't understand how within a week little rain this could happen so fast. I left the store without buying anything and called a very honest well established pool services my neighbors all recommended. He came out tested water and said "Your pool is balanced and does not need anything " please beware of what pinch a pinch says they are in the business of selling chemicals. So sick of this service. I've noticed they fail to clean the filter and only visit for about 5-7 minutes. I've called and made the management aware of my concerns, to no avail. Also, they raised the monthly price without even letting me know. Today, I see on a newly installed camera that the guy only skimmed for about 5 minutes and does nothing else. However I get an email as soon as he left advising they've done all this: Today we balanced and cleaned your pool to make it perfect. Now it's ready for you to enjoy! These are the items we checked off the list today: Test Water Add Chemicals Clean Pump Basket Clean Skimmer Basket Clean Filter (As Needed) Brush Walls Skim Surface Clean Bottom Brush Tile Acid wash salt cell What a joke! I'd love a job that pays me $6.25 a minute for running a skimmer over a pool. The photos below depict the filter the same day of their service visit. They will probably rebut this review and say they clean the filter "as needed," but it's obvious it's needed and hasn't been cleaned in a very, very long time. read more

Best prices for pool stuff in the area: Salt $7 /40# & Acid $4.50 /gal. compared to: ACE acid $5.50/gal (no SALT) Lowes acid=$5.50/gal, salt $6.45 Walmart salt=$5.97/40# (NO ACID) They have given me great advice when I have had problems with my pool and mad recommendations to save me money when I had to buy cleaners or parts over the years. The are open 7 days a week and the guys will bring the stuff out and load it in you car/truck for you. This is the only store I have ever found snowcap rust remover at as well. I used these guys in 2013, 2015 and the past 3 months 2017, while I was away to keep my pool clean. They were awful. I talked with Denny the owner each time, who is a good guy, but his field staff don't show up every week and when they do, only stay less than 20 min. Don't sweep or vacuum the pool or clean the filter. I kept giving them chances but every year the same low level of performance. I'm done giving them chances as my emotional reaction to giving people money for jobs they do poorly is over! read more

This store is fine when it comes picking up chlorine. But terrible when it comes to care for your pool. I called them and made an appointment for them to come out and clean and fix our filters. I took off of work. No one called and no one showed up. I called again and they said they would call me the following week to make a new appointment. They never called me. I am looking elsewhere. read more
