Want to be treated like dirt? Then come to Pine Hill where the staff could care less about you. I made a tee time a week and a half in advance and when I arrived to check in, the old man with the white hair and glasses scoffs at me when I name my name and tee time. Looks at his paper and says "Nope, you aint on here". I explained that I spoke with the woman and she had me down for that particular tee time. He then flips the page over to me condescendingly and replies "If you can find your name, you can play". Now what business establishment treats you like this? He then says that there arent any women who answer the phones here and I ask if he answers the calls 24/7? He says "pretty much." I asked him to check his records for my name and proceeds to check the current weekend, past weekend and the following weekend. My name wasnt even written down. He continues to belittle saying I didnt call the right course when in fact Im showed him the number and laughs that I was in fact right but "tough luck" I told him his people screwed up and asked what can be done. He says nothing. We call another local golf course and they could get us on now.
We head back to our cars with our clubs and spoke with a gentleman who was about to play and says we are going the wrong why, implying the course was where we were. We told him of the incident and asks, Were you the one who called earlier in the morning to check on the course status since the course was completely drenched in rain and I responded yes. He says "I was there when the guy answered the phone and when he hung up he looked at me and chuckles, I cant wait for that guy to arrive only to tell him he doesnt have a tee time". He also proceeds to tell me that the staff has never been accommodating after playing there every Sunday as a tradition that he and his buddies have. Now, again, what kind of establishment treats their patrons with utter disregard? The course is below mediocre at best, from past experiences. We chose this location due to its close location for that day and convenience. I highly recommend not playing this course and play a better rated course for the money. $33 for this course??? I'd rather spend the money at Cook's Creek which is a national renowned course. The people at Pine Hill act as if they run a premier golf course. Save your money and play a course which appreciate you coming to their course and treat you like a person. read more
