The store was a complete mess today. More than usual. Aisles blocked with merchandise to be stocked…read more, the people who shop for other people blocking the aisles with their carts, and the shelves were empty! This store has been going down hill for quit sometime now. Produce will only last a day or two after buying. You really have to look at any fresh produce, because it is not the best quality. Walking past the fish counter; it smells fishy! Great indication the fish is no good! Never enough checkers to check people out. This store needs to get their act together.

Stood in line behind a person whom was using EBT, aka, SNAP or WICK…read more The purchaser, a woman with a 3 year old daughter had 1 cart full of huge fructose Corn syrup beverages, had to be over $300.00 worth and her government assistance form.of payment wasn't working, it took 3 managers to sort this mess out while we waited about 20 mins and they left without the product. Maybe store manager should have a special line for these types of customers so everyone in line behind them isn't so pissed off.

I always buy newspapers when I travel - the rack near the customer service counter gave me local and national newspapers. Excellent. Don't laugh - you're gonna miss 'em when they're gone, to paraphrase the 13th Floor Elevators classic 1960s hit. Supermarkets are just supermarkets, but this lives up to its "sooper" billing. I had to write another review because in December I was shopping for a party. I was in line had everything I needed. Then realized I forgot ice. The clerk let me stay in line and purchase the ice without re-waiting. Robbie the checker went and got another cart for me and put all 4 bags of ice in another cart and helped me out to my car since I had two carts. He loaded all the groceries in my car for me. I offered a tip to him and he would not take it. Yes it's a busy store, the shelves sometimes get empty due to the influx of people. Every time I come to Safeway I am greeting by friendly employees. Even the pharmacy staff rocks. They always get what I need in. Once I complained about the price of the prescription and they told me what to say to get the Doctor to re-write it for brand only. Instead of $60 per month I only pay $32. I love our local Safeway and it's the employees that deserve 5 stars! I would love a Safeway gas station in the area. I also like the Just for U App that saves me money on all the items I buy regularly.
