We visited here multiple times while in Breck because we cooked most of our meals in. I thought the quality and quantity of produce was good. The overall selection was amazing given the size of the store. I was even able to get grits!!! The deli carries Boars Head meats and cheeses. The best part... the prices don't seem to be jacked up. There are a couple of small grocery type stores in Breckenridge but this is the only full size one. This makes shopping there a pleasure and a pain. It's painfully busy and the parking lot was a challenge. The store is clean and well stocked. They have full vegetable, fruit, deli and meat departments. I was surprised by the amount of organic foods that they stocked. Some of their pricing is confusing because of the loyalty program. At check out you find out the real cost of items that had a sale price. At that point you can ask someone in the line to scan their loyalty card on your purchase. read more

Don't be in a hurry to shop. Even the self-checkouts lines are long. This grocery store has a small pharmacy and it is always busy. Prices are a bit high, so buy the sale items. Have your Kroger's card, or the account's phone number to get the sales. This store carries a lot of goods in a tight space, and shoppers are always running into each other. I think selection is good. There's a deli with lots of meat and European cheese choices, and a bakery with lots of breads, donuts and cakes. There is a small beer selection. A liquor store is next door. This is the only grocery store in the Breckenridge area. read more

Messy. There were boxes everywhere and it was hard to maneuver about the store with everything around. The food was ok, on a Saturday night I wasn't to mad that everything was picked over. The appearance of the store lacks anything that would like to attract customers. I walked into the store and had 2nd guesses about shopping here. But the service was alright, we didn't get to much interaction because of self checkout but all of the workers seemed on task and handy! Overall, I probably will come back here to shop, it would be nice though if some of the boxes weren't scattered throughout the store. read more

This is Breckenridge's Kroger. You can use your Kroger card number just the same. So on our first day in Breckenridge one of my friends gets their rental car stuck in the snow. At least it was in our driveway... Anyways we either had to call a tow truck or get it out ourselves. We had a 4 wheel drive Tahoe that could pull the van out but we needed some sort of rope. The convenience stores didn't have anything and the wal-marts, walgreens, and CVS close at 10 PM!!! This place actually closes at 11 PM which was a life saver. They also had rope which we were able to use to pull the van out of the snow. This trip to the grocery store saved us over 100 dollars worth of towing fees. This review is only for the people in the sushi/deli section. Horrible customer service. I grabbed a few sushi items for a easy lunch, asked for some wasabi and soy sauce to go along with it. They told me to go by soy sauce in isle 2. He pointed his finger at me and dismissed me. Managers for city market you need to talk to your employees about customer service. This was our go-to market during our stay in Breck. Was able to find pretty much everything we needed to prep breakfast, lunch and dinner. Staff was helpful and the store was clean. This is the only full sized grocery store in Breckinridge. The store is smaller but packs a lot of stuff into that space. They have a decent selection. It's a busy store and the lines to check out can be a little longer than when you shop in a bigger city but that's to be expected. Nice to have a place to get what you need in town. read more

This is a great supermarket! We always come here while we're in Breck, which is usually at least 2 weeks every year, and we recommend it to everyone. They tried to rip me off on a flu medication. They told me without insurance it would be $297.00 for the one pill and so I gave them a coupon the Dr gave me and they told me it would bring the price down to $197.00. I told them I would try elsewhere. I made the trek down to Silverthorne to the CVS at Target. The pharmacist told me that my insurance doesn't cover it since it was a certain type of drug and that it would be very expensive. I asked how much and she replied $103.00 retail. She said she would check to see if a manufacturers coupon was available and it was! Total cost $30.00 I'm really upset that City Market tried to scam me like that. There is no excuse. YIKES! Visiting the area and stopped by to pick up tissues for my daughter who had altitude sickness. Her nose was bleeding so while at the counter with our purchase and cash was out. He not only ignored us to finish stocking shelves but even told us to wait until we pay to open the tissues while her nose was bleeding. Terrible customer service and would never have gone if I knew this was the ordeal I would deal with. Right when the transaction was done he roughly threw me the change and walked away. Ordered groceries ahead for pick up for a ski vacation. Although I chose this location the groceries were at a different location. We asked at customer service for them to call the other location "Karen didn't have the number." Manager comes over and immediately finds the number and another person also comes and calls the location for us. Three people for one problem. Geez! Well, seems you can't call location where groceries are located to cancel, you have to call an 800 number and no one at the Breckenridge City Market has the number of their corporate store. This store is terrible. The policy about everyone in party has to have an ID to purchase beer is ridiculous. We had a bunch of items and a case of beer. My 60 year old husband and 22 year old son were unloading and bagging our items. My 21 year old son walked up and the checker asked for his ID. He didn't have it with him. They took the beer and said they wouldn't sell it to us. I'm also 56! We tried to reason with checker but she wouldn't sell us the beer. Don't use this place. read more

It must be very difficult handling the number of orders for visitors to Breckenridge. I wholeheartedly discourage anyone from using the delivery service. It is offered through Instacart. I placed my order on a Saturday after downloading the City Market app. The ordering was smooth, and the order was paid for, and confirmed for delivery between 4 and 6 the next day. However, on delivery day I didn't receive the order, so I rechecked the app. The status showed deliver confirmed for 7-7:30. But as I inquired as to why the delay, it was delayed even further to 9:30! Please just go to the store, work through the crowd, and get your groceries. The delivery method is not advised. Instacart simply can't handle the workload. read more

Was in Breckenridge for a mid-March snowboarding trip. We came in several times throughout the week, mostly in the late afternoon. It's never too crowded. I also thought this market would jack prices up, but the products & prices are identical to Kroger's in Dallas-Fort Worth. You can even use your reward card. Also if you're visiting and don't have a car, the free bus service is right in front of the market, and runs about every 20 minutes. read more

We vacationed in Breckenridge for two weeks in July, found City Market across from the gondola parking lot. This was a great find prices were the same as North Dallas super markets, and surprisingly I noticed many Kroger products, there's the catch, the buying power of a large grocery store chain; punched in our Kroger card and received further discounts. This is a medium sized store but has a good variety of products and labels, fresh produce, meats, yogurts, etc. The prepared food section was not so appealing but it is available for those who want a quick meal or don't want to cook. While shopping the aisles I do recall noticing refrigerated beer but did not look to see the selection.
