Internet was very bad,needed for work,the park itself is very nice,New management,hopfull,will be fixed in future

Quiet and peaceful, I stayed four nights here in early April 2021. This RV park has a mix of "permanent" residents (some of these trailers look like maybe they haven't moved in years) and transients like myself. Contractors, residents and even a few military folks that must be commuting from the nearby military base (one guy has a high end Class A and a Tesla). I had a pleasant stay, finding it nice for doing some remote work from the table in my Class C. The park has a few kids but they don't make much noise. The folks coming and going were quiet enough. It's likely because the manager (owner?) lives on site and can keep an eye/ear on things. It's far enough from civilization that it was placid, with a large lake that has the occasional boater (mostly rowboats and canoes) and pole fisher. I had a few walks around the park to get some exercise and it's nice. Keep an eye out for the occasional dog owner that doesn't pick up. The bathhouse was very nice with plenty of good hot water. Showers were in stalls with curtains, much like something you'd see in your local fitness center or YMCA. There is a laundry with washer and dryer for $1 each load. Some kind soul had left detergent on the shelf, so thanks for that! Perfectly okay here and no one disturbed my stuff. The electric and water hookup at my pad worked perfectly fine. The black water dump on the way out was also good enough and that's where the trash dumpster was located. Standard stuff if you don't mind storing black water for a couple of days and dumping it on the way out. The water from the tap at my site was clean - TDS rating as low as that from my kitchen sink back in Charlotte. No problems there. It wasn't a huge site but it fit my RV just fine and had a little bit of shade. Only two complaints. First, I was never able to connect to the wifi despite the printed password in the welcome guide. There are signals but my laptop and phone just wouldn't connect. I didn't ask for assistance, so that's on me. Second, the park is quite sandy in most areas. This means that you need to be careful not to track it back into your RV. I bought an indoor/outdoor rug and that helped some. The park is at the end of a mile long sand track. I had no problem negotiating it at the posted 15 mph limit. I don't see the big deal. Yes, the office is a little cluttered but so what? I didn't spend any time there other than during my check in and when I returned to pick up a bathhouse key. There is a Walmart and other shopping/eats in Raeford, about 15-20 minutes away. Just don't go. Upon arrival during daylight the office was closed. Called the number on the door and was greeted by a nice lady who was not onsite but did instruct us on how to get to our assigned site. As we pulled into our nice very slanted site two other campers came out to assist us. It was then we were informed (by the campers) that most of the park had no water and hadn't for several days due to burst pipes from freezing. WHY WEREN'T WE TOLD BEFORE ARRIVING? Called the nice lady back and asked if we could move to a more level site that had access to water from another site next to it. She confirmed we could move there. While setting up someone from the park came by with our paperwork with the new site number for us to sign confirming we read over the rules (10 MPH). Once completed set up and about to leave for the evening to visit with local family we received a phone call telling us we had to move as the site was booked to another camper. We were flabbergasted. How does that even happen? There were multiple other sites unused that the other camper could have been moved to without water just like us. When we pressed about moving them to another site we were told it was not possible. We were told we had to return to our original site that was very un level had no access to water. We asked if we could simply pull forward to a site open directly in front of us. Allowing us to still have access to water and fill our tanks. Mind you we originally had a 50amp FHU, asked to move a 30 amp FHU and would ultimately move to a 30 amp no sewer allowing us to still have access to water. The wait began. The nice lady couldn't make that decision without the owners confirmation. The owner wouldn't respond to her. If the nice campers that assisted us hadn't of called the owner explaining the situation we would still be waiting. Needless to say our two night stay came with some great entertainment from the local full timers. An earful of all the issues they have experienced during their stay. No bathhouses open for months, pool closed, and outdated laundry house. These nice camper's informed us they are now able to move to nicer long term campground as sites had finally opened up for them. Again just don't go! read more

I actually lived there 14 years ago for a year..the owner Vicki was very kind and merciful in the worst time of my life..

Hubby and I went there to check things out before camping there. Lady in office was a nice lady. I assume lady with reddish brown hair that came from back area which obviously is owners home was somewhat rude. Office area reeked of animal urine dog smell. Dirty cluttered. Camping area not too bad. But needs some work in areas. Lady at front desk said they practice shooting out there. Pond was nice . Some areas of roads were washed out where you pull camper through. So we haven't been camping there, not sure we will. But the reviews do t seem to good .. looked like a lot of people live there. Old trailers etc around. We are newbies at camping and just want to be able to relax and enjoy nature in safe affordable area. It would be nice if they cleaned up the office area. It's a big turn off to smell straight up animal urine and animal odor. The place would be great with a bit of cleaning up and upgrades read more

RUN!! Rarely do we find a campground that constitutes a negative review. We made our reservation two months in advance for full hookups. Arrived around noonish and was told maybe they could find us a spot. (That should have been my first clue to run from previous reviews). Was given a spot with no sewer and we are a family of 4. (Umm no). Well we stayed and was moved to another spot two days later. Very very tight fitting. Couldn't extend one side all the way. (I still did not see the signs to run). We had two heavy days of rain and that was our sign we were done. Black water was spilling out of the ground and running into the "lake" which caused the Lanes/roads to be in need of repair from washing away. It was more work and dangerous pulling out of our spot that parking it!!! Lots of full-timers who let their dogs roam leash free and do not pick up after them. Washer/dryers were full of sand. We left early and just chalked up the loss in money to a lesson learned. read more

Not at all like the website shows. Sand driveways are almost not passable I thought trailer was going to get stuck. They have some kind of sewage problem the smell is terrible, and brought tons of flys. The pool is not up and running and was green in July. Mostly construction workers living there. Not a family place. Not much for kids to do. I did notsee a playgroudn anywhere. The lake was dirty and low. Could be a nice place but needs Lots and Lots of work. read more

DO NOT STAY HERE..Absolutely horrible place.. made a reservation about 2 months ago to camp monthly till our house is built. we asked for full hook up. She had plenty of time to make sure that site was ready for us. and we show up ..our spot barely fit our camper and they spent an hour looking for the sewer. the lady said for us to go ahead and set up camp and she would have her sewer guy find the pipe. she said she wanted us to shut our cars off and go in the camper cuz there was a guy "trying to take a nap". mind you its 3 PM in the afternoon. I was highly irritated and shook my head in disgust. this lady went off.. talking about how we have no right to be irritated.. first of all its mid day and I have 4 kids and 2 dogs.. I am not going to spend the whole time shushing my kids during the day and not letting them play cuz someone wanted to take naps. 2nd of all this lady has ZERO customer service skills. and then the lady started going off on my husband cuz I shook my head in disgust. she ended up getting our 100$ deposit in the end. but she sure as hell isn't going to get my business for 3 months. DO NOT STAY HERE. HORRIBLE CRAP HOLE AND LADY IS RUDE AS HELL. read more

Owner is rude and unprofessional. I made a reservation two months ago and placed a deposit down. Upon arrival the site was not prepared, I was a bit irritated but remained calm. The owner asked my wife to move her vehicle and shut it off. We have two dogs and 4 children so we couldn't shut the car off in 95 degree heat. Our car is like new and makes almost no noise running but she complained we would wake a gentleman sleeping nearby. I tried to inform her that I couldn't shut the car off until we were completely hooked up with A/C and that's when she was rude to my wife, my wife bit her tongue shook her head and pulled forward. The lady was offended by my wife's attitude, which I thought she held her composure well considering everything. The lady started complaining about my wife in front of me, so I finally explained the situation to her and defended my wife's actions rationally and still calm. At that point she made excuses and was rude, sped off in her ATV. All the negative reviews are true that I've read, it's not a family friendly park, the owner is rude, I do not recommend this place to anyone. I immediately cancelled my reservation, lost my deposit of course and politely left the campground. read more

Avoid this place!!!! I would give it no star rating. Cabins/Trailers for rent all have mold in them. I had breathing issues while I was there. Had a co-worker trailer catch on fire due to faulty outlets, charges your card without your consent. We had no water in our trailers for 3 days, owner said there was no water problem. There is raw sewage in the back lots. POOR MANAGEMENT!!!! read more

I wouldn't even give this place one star! It's a joke! The road to the place has so many sand holes in it! When you get to the camp ground gate doesn't work and had a gatorade bottle taped on the end that's painted white...it looked trashy if you ask me! The office looks like a mess! The camp site are small and you don't have room to park you car so you have to park it in the road I thought our camper was going to get hit so many times as cars pass by. The laundry room have water all over the floor and the lady that runs the place think you should clean it up!! If you have a pet you better make sure her friend likes it or you will get kicked out. She is rude and unprofessional. If you are working in the area and your crew staying there with you she will try and get you fired but make up lies and till your boss. She unplugged one of the guys campers and he had two flat tires! She makes up lies about anything and everything she can. She tried to say our friends dog attacked my kids when she NEVER ones did! I would never recommend this place to anyone!!! I have blasted this campground on social media about how awful it was! I hope it get shut down! read more
