We were seated promptly and it wasn't too busy in the patio dining room. It took almost 10 minutes…read morefor anyone to come to our table and greet us and ask if we'd like anything to drink. We placed our drink order and waited...out came 2 glasses of wine, then the third and then the beer that was ordered. Also asked for lemon wedges for the water which came after the beer. Placed appetizers order of crab cakes and smash burger. Waited a bit and then placed order for two salads as part of our dinners. Salads came out before the appetizers. I must say the crab cakes were delicious (maybe not $26 delicious), the smash burger was ok, very greasy and fries were not very hot. My biggest disappointment was my entree, Parmesan Crusted Seabass which is one of my all time favorites that I order when I see it on the menu. The plate looked delicious but looks can be deceiving. The Seabass was more breaded than Parmesan crusted. Usually When I order this it is Seabass topped with shredded Parmesan cheese and baked, this was not that! Then the sauce that covered the spinach and potatoes and lobster pieces had red chili flakes added(which is not noted on the menu) which added "heat" to the dish that I was not expecting nor was I able to eat. For $55 I was very disappointed. No, I didn't mention this at the time as we were dining with family and I didn't want to disrupt the dinner by sending it back. Such a simple thing to note on the menu description! The short rib was the best entree of the table, nice portion and delicious sauce. The filet was tiny, maybe 4 oz. Definitely not anywhere near 8 in as stated on the menu and it was hard to find with all of the broccoli on the plate. We will be visiting family here again but definitely won't be back here. On another note, the music they were playing would be more suitable to a dance club than a venue such as this.

I think the 3.5 star average rating is deserved. We dined in for valentine's day and enjoyed our…read morevisit, our server was nice and attentive. The food, for me, was nothing to write home about. The beet salad wasn't my fav but it was ok. The chicken I would not recommend because it had literally no flavor and the whole thing was covered in arugula why My boyfriend loved the burger though! And I thought the wine was good This place wins in terms of ambiance, it's really gorgeous and feels exclusive. I just wish the food matched that vibe. I'd come back for their brunch for sure in the summer, I hear they might have bottomless mimosas??

Federated Family Life Center - Table long cake in honor of Field Kitchen Feeds

The highlight of the space is the spacious Great Hall, which can accommodate up to 400 guests (according to the venue website) --ideal for large gatherings like wedding receptions, fundraisers, or corporate gatherings. I attended fish fry at this location hosted by the Cleveland Field Kitchen that was hosted in the Great Hall. The Great Hall is very spacious, has a stage, and remnants of basketball hoop. It is very minimalistic but very spacious. I did not interact with any of the venue's staff while there (only unaffiliated event organizers) so can't comment about their service. There are other amenities that I've noticed while onsite including a kitchen, nature/walking trails, two playgrounds, and plenty of parking. Whether you're planning a business meeting, youth activity, bridal shower, or private party, the Family Life Center seems to be a good destination. I would recommend this venue to anyone interested in a scenic hideaway.

I was charged for extras not in contract after wedding . Also, do not depend on day of coordinator. Should have upgrades in paper plates ( too small) and cutlery ( higher grade of forks, knives, etc.) Also, only plastic cups for wine. Everything else has to be consumed in the can. But, overall, a very enjoyable experience there.

Even if you are the last one there, you are bound to get a great spot! As soon as we get there my kids go straight to the food, which is ample and a perfect selection for an outdoor gathering. Let's see, they had ribs, hamburgers, vegan-friendly veggie burgers, potato salad, baked beans, brownies, watermelon and the list goes on! I am always impressed with their soda selection! Diet cream soda does it for me every time! They have a nice, manned lake with paddle boats and canoes. There are a few different playgrounds, most of which, are in the shade. They recently added larger-than-life wooden rockers! There is a little area where kids can redeem tickets for prizes. The soft-served ice cream (vegan, by the way!) and cold novelties are always a hit! They provide hayrides which offer great history of the park and family that owns it. You'll see softball fields and many photo opportunities in the gazebo, pavilion and around the lake. The restrooms are very clean! So, go visit this wonderful, scenic, family-owned gem! I bet you won't be disappointed! You can bring your own entertainment: clowns, magicians, face painters, etc. This would be a perfect place for a wedding and family reunions!
