I had a room with a king sized bed and a living room section, so it was a good amount of room to spread out. When I travel by myself, I always bring my XBox to entertain myself after a long day of meetings. I have to say I was really impressed with both TV's in my room... both were 4k and the biggest surprise was they BOTH had 240hz refresh rate.... What this mean in lamens terms... it means that the action is smooth as silk. So this is really the best TV you can ask for in a hotel!! Well now that I have given you the pros!!! Now on to the cons... Really the only con was the breakfast bar.... I have to admit... it was the very worst bar I had ever seen.... No waffles, the toasters took about 10 minutes to get the beagles warm... not toasted.... The other items like eggs and sausage just did not look appealing... Beautiful house and gardens. Michael, the owner, was great. Loved the beautiful room with the comfy bed and the lovely huge soaking tub that was perfect for a long bubble bath. It is in walking district to everything in the "Old Mandeville" area and so close to the lakefront. We walked to all of the surrounding bars and dining spots and just felt so relaxed !!!! The lakefront is lined with beautiful, raised, opulant Creole Cottages and huge trees dripping in spanish moss, it is a beautiful area. My advice is "GO STAY THERE", Micheal is a great host and we loved "Baby Cat", the 20-yeear old, one-eyed kitty who was our welcoming mascot.

It barely fit our 45' motorcoach, length and width wise. We had to park our tow vehicle perpendicular on the very edge of the pad. There were puddles everywhere and when it rained overnight, they turned into big, deep puddles, even the grass was flooded. The turns are pretty tight, when it was time to leave, we opted to back out of our spot, luckily we were on the end. We were afraid we would get stuck in the mud. Maybe this place would be better in the summer when it's dry and if you have a smaller RV.

Guess what, one of her regulars called just today to book the room, she says. Now we have no place to stay. She never checked her account with VRBO to book us even though we already paid for the room. She blames us for not calling her directly to book and says it's crazy how much more VRBO charged us than what she would have charged per night. VRBO emailed me repeatedly for my experience of the cressy house and I didn't review because I didn't want to leave a poor review on her account. After the last day for me to leave a review has passed she leaves a negative review on my VRBO feedback. That is such a low petty thing for Laura Cressy to do. She needs to check her reservations in a more timely fashion in the future and don't blame her mistake on others.

A few weeks later, I knew that I would be there in 2 days and contacted her to rebook. She had already taken the full payment on my credit card in August and told me that she would refund me by sending me a check. After several weeks went by and I had not received the check, I contacted her to tell her that. She said she would put a stop payment on the check and send another one. I just received the check, which was $114 less than what she had collected from me back in August. I spoke with her and she informed me that she subtracted out the fee for the stop payment, as well as for taxes that she had paid. I told her that I felt that she should be responsible for these, as these are the cost of doing business. She told me that I should be held responsible, because when I tried to rebook, I had only given her 2 days notice and denied that she had told me that her place was unavailable due to FEMA. People in this area are usually extremely nice and very accommodating. It is very disappointing to have had this experience.

I have family that lives in the area, their house flooded in 2016 we rushed down to help gut the house to prevent further damage all while they are tucked away at your hotel (formally Staybridge) with their two doggie kiddos. They RAVED about your hotel! So a year later when we planned a family trip there was no other option than to stay at your hotel. Our 4 kids loved the movie room and the pool and my husband and I loved the fact that there was free breakfast and dinner 3 times a week! For 5 days our stay was around 950 I think. Fast forward to Thursday 2/24/22 my husband and made a business trip and decided to to surprise my family in Louisiana. By the time we got there we had been on the road for 24 hours, we ate dinner and proceeded to your hotel. When we entered the gentleman behind the desk was talking with someone, he stopped and greeted us and checked us in. He told me the price was $243 plus the pet fee $258. Little expensive but we're tired. We head to the room and we realize this is not the same great hotel we once stayed at. Theres a large stain in the bathtub, the walls are dirty, you can tell where the plaster has gotten wet and not been fixed so expected mold there, look at the ceiling and it looks like its been flooded from above and theres mold on the ceiling AND on the back of the bathroom door, the door itself had spots and hair on it. Back in the main room part of the flooring is up but its fine a table leg was set on it, theres something on the counter thats a white powder, the plaster around the air unit is peeled off and on the floor, the bed was so creaky from the metal springs and the frame that we tried our hardest not to move, the phone line was CUT(which I would think would be against some sort of regulation) and there was no Bible. The rooms are your basic Residence Inn rooms. The staff is where the shortage is! - either they need training or replacing, they dont fit the Marriott Brand level of care I expect. By then it was too late to change rooms and I had 0 confidence that the front desk person would be able to help us find another room. It was all an experience I hope to never repeat and I will avoid this property like the plague even though I travel through the area several times a year. Marriott definitely does not need angry employees serving customers, especially long term (over 40 years) loyal rewards members like me or anyone else.
