It was a strange encounter as he say on the other end not providing much information or guiding the conversation as a business owner should. However, he did have availability so we took it. Fairly cheap with full hookup, $30 altogether including tax. The RV park, if you can really call it that, boats several permanent sites it appears. Some run down and some nice campers. The site is nothing special, in between what appears to be a UPS tracking facility and an abandoned construction site. There's no great, all gravel. No activities and no where to hike or swim. It's simply just a place to crash for the night if you're desperate. There is a tiny bathhouse which we didn't check out. It is located inside what looks like a shed. I give it 2 starts because it's clean and servers it's purpose.

However, I called "Mr. Bill" with a question and we ended up speaking on the phone for 10 minutes about several things. He was so friendly and personable. I met his wife when she came in to write me a receipt. She was also extremely friendly and we chatted for some time. The most amazing thing is that the lobby is left open and unlocked. It's like a little living room with 2 large w/d for guests and a clean bathroom with a shower. We will definitely be staying there when husband has to work in the Union City area.

The highlights for me were being near the water, and the absolute gem of a camp hostess, Melissa. When my husband checked us in he said, "She's really friendly," and a few hours later I met her myself and had to agree. Plus, I got to meet the camp kitties. Shadow, the all-black mini panther, totally stole my heart. What a sweetheart. The campground was very quiet and peaceful, with free firewood and super clean bathrooms that are ice cold, which was a total win on a hot day. The showers are free and in great condition too. The entire park is tidy and well maintained. It's a dry park, so if you're planning to enjoy a cocktail by the fire, just be a little stealthy and bring a cozy. Civilization is about a 15-minute drive away, but still dry... so plan accordingly. Highly recommend this place. We will definitely be back.

Cyclists have to use the paved trail so walkers and dog walkers can rest with ease There are restrooms at every pavilion. The park also has playgrounds, shelter, a campground and forested hiking trails. The best thing for those with dogs is the dog jumping pier. My dogs had a blast on the warm day we were here. All the electrics worked OK in the water was good. There is a beautiful view of the Mississippi and the river was not high so you could walk along the bank and watch the river flow. There's also a lot of grass and open areas where a dog can run. Ours is on a training collar so he could investigate all around and you didn't have to worry about him bothering anybody. There's lots of space available. It's a pretty large park. The people were friendly when we checked in and everything went well. They had one bad review which worried us But for us everything was OK and we would come back again.
