Recently camped here over the long labor day weekend, along with a large group. The people here…read moreare great! They were quite flexible given the size of our group and the fact we had several people arriving later in the weekend. They were very understanding about the situation and everone was able to have a great time. The lake itself is fairly small, and an hour should be sufficient to kayak or canoe around. The swimming area is clear and sloped well, and doesn't get too deep. The camp sites are spacious, but there is a 5 person limit per site. There's a firepit at every site, but arent well suited for any kind of cooking, so you may want to bring a grill. There arent too many bugs either...but bring some spray just in case. There are a lot of other activities here too, like pool tables, a small arcade, a volleyball net and a large field for frisbee/football/soccer. The even had bingo and wagon rides. This is a nice weekend getaway camping trip for anyone in New England.

We love Lake Ivanhoe! If you have not been here recently, the new owners have turned this place…read morearound. They are amazing. Nice, accommodating, friendly and helpful. They are constantly making improvements like adding wifi throughout, adding activities, etc. We rented a camper for the week. It had full hookups, cable TV, appliances, cookware, a deck and more. The rental was clean, if we needed anything it was supplied. Our stay was excellent. Our family has rented this before as well as stay at the inn. Family has been coming here for decades but it hasn't been run as well since now. All sites for campers and tents are well sized, good shade and most have full hookups. They offer lots of family activities and makes it great for families. But with no kids it is still great, quiet and enjoyable. There is beach access and the lake is crystal clear. It is the smallest of the 7 lakes but that makes it even more peaceful. You can here the loons everyday. So if you used to come but stopped because of the old owners, come back. And first timers you will love it!

We rented a Lake Bluff Cabin, it has a screened in porch and a stove top to cook on. If you rent a cabin, you'll have most of items you need like pots pans, plates, utensils but you need to pack pillows and linens. My sister rented the white pines cabin and had a full stove to cook with (nice) but no screened in porch. Highly recommend renting the golf cart, it's pricey but if you can afford to splurge a little the kids will love it and it was one of the highlights of our trip or you could also bring your bikes. The pool is great, not too deep about 3.6in and there were 2 warming tubs! Note the Picnic food trailer doesn't open until 1pm, which is kind of late. The food was decent and priced reasonably. Even the ice cream was delicious but they were down to only 3 flavors by day 2 of our visit. Make sure you sign up in advance for activities as they fill up fast. Mini golf was complimentary and some of the activities had a small fee ( very reasonable ) On certain nights you can preorder a seafood dinner and pick it up at the ranger station, we got the lobster and bbq chicken and the kids chicken tenders. It was delicious and perfect when you don't feel like cooking. There is not much for food around the area unless you feel like going on a 20-30 ride so pack accordingly. Tips: Bring bug spray and bug itch cream, you will need it! Pack 2 towels for each person if you can. One for pool and one for cabin. Bring some lighting for nighttime if you plan to be outside. On our visit Wi-Fi was only available at recreation center be prepared to let the kids use your hot spot. Download their app! It's helpful! We can't wait to visit again!

*** The one-star review is referring to Salmon Falls KOA; NOT Salmon River Falls RV!! ***…read more My family and I decided to come to this campground on a whim, wanting to stay in Maine. We have stayed at the KOA in the same city, and we weren't super thrilled with the campground. The Salmon Falls River, RV campground, on the other hand, is amazing. My parents are staying on a site directly behind us and between our two campers we have a ton of space. My brother stayed at a site in the back of the Safari field with the woods right up against him, and he also loved it. We have two picnic tables set up near each other and an area for outdoor seating inside of a net. For amenities, they have two pools, an indoor pool, as well as an outdoor pool. There is a volleyball net attached to the outdoor pool. We are up here on a super rainy time of year, July 4, 2023, and we still enjoyed our time. The other campers are super laid-back, and we have enjoyed every person we have met. The campground puts out a schedule of activities for the weekend, and there are many different activities that campers can choose to participate in. My mom and I enjoyed an adult only bingo night in the adult bingo hall, there was a candy bar bingo for the children to participate in by the pool, and the ice cream truck made a visit on Saturday evening. Everyone here is very nice and very accommodating, from your fellow campers to the staff and owners. We are approximately 45 minutes from old Orchard Beach, and all of the other coastal activities. This is a definite repeat for us. Awesome place, 10 out of 10 do recommend.

Nothing deluxe about deluxe cabins. Nasty food inside the couch when we opened it up. Both Air conditions broken. TVs don't work with zero wifi. Spider webs and dirt throughout the cabin. They now charge for linens and both my golf cart batteries were broken and had to be walked back to the office. Tried to call and ask for manager 3 or more times without a phone call back in return with zero solutions or apologies. Won't be back until they make some serious changes! Spend your money somewhere else (Jellystone). This place used to be the the best and now the owner is running it into the river.
