Let me start by saying I rented 2 side by side RV sites next to each other because the website says for large group tenting these sites are bigger and offer space for group tenting..my site hardly fit my tent and one other tent. I couldn't even put my screen house. Day 2 it rained which happens wouldn't have been an issue except the road gave away from above making 2 foot valley of water and rocks that slammed into my tent and caused one of the cars to only be on 3 wheels and another with the 2 ft ditch underneath it not being able to even drive out. when I went to the office to tell them they said " that's the risk you take when renting an RVtv site" it was NEVER TOLD TO US THAT SITE FLOODED OR THAT THERE WAS A CHANCE THE ROAD WOULD HAVE MADE A MOUNTAIN OF ROCKS SMASH INTO MY TENT. Also they put logs around the edge of the site that held in the foot of rain that accumulated soaking everything we brought. IT took 4 hours for them to come and refill the valley of dirt that gave way under the cars and they send 2 young girls with buckets to help recover the tent from the avalanche of rocks. day 3 during breakfast I look up and a golf cart was racing toward another 2 of our cars and slammed into between them causing damage to both cars. A 3 and 4 yr old decided to play in it causing this damage. Had the cars not been there the golf cart would have gone right into my daughters tent that had my granddaughter sleeping in it.. again the office was contacted and didn't even come to help the situation for over an hour. When they got there said " well things like this happen and called the police to file a report" They never once came and talked to us or offer an ounce of compensation. This campground is very expensive and canceled all activities because of the rain which I understand but could have rescheduled some of them the following day since we only paid to go to this place because of what they had to offer. The manager of guest relations was extremely rude and wanted nothing to do with anyone and sent the young assistant to me whenever I went to the office. They did absolutely nothing to make the situation any easier for any of us. I will NEVER EVER go back there. Why would they advertise large tent groups to rent an RV site if the sites flood??? We have been new to camping this summer and this was the 4th campground we've been too and it was the BEST one we've stayed at! we usually do weekend trips so my one flaw is that we didn't book a longer trip because there is so much to do, we only have time for like 1/3 of it. We had so much fun here. Lots of daily activities for the kids and staff was very friendly and welcoming! Property is well kept and the cabins are true glamping with ac and cable tv. We rented a Lake Bluff Cabin, it has a screened in porch and a stove top to cook on. If you rent a cabin, you'll have most of items you need like pots pans, plates, utensils but you need to pack pillows and linens. My sister rented the white pines cabin and had a full stove to cook with (nice) but no screened in porch. Highly recommend renting the golf cart, it's pricey but if you can afford to splurge a little the kids will love it and it was one of the highlights of our trip or you could also bring your bikes. The pool is great, not too deep about 3.6in and there were 2 warming tubs! Note the Picnic food trailer doesn't open until 1pm, which is kind of late. The food was decent and priced reasonably. Even the ice cream was delicious but they were down to only 3 flavors by day 2 of our visit. Make sure you sign up in advance for activities as they fill up fast. Mini golf was complimentary and some of the activities had a small fee ( very reasonable ) On certain nights you can preorder a seafood dinner and pick it up at the ranger station, we got the lobster and bbq chicken and the kids chicken tenders. It was delicious and perfect when you don't feel like cooking. There is not much for food around the area unless you feel like going on a 20-30 ride so pack accordingly. Tips: Bring bug spray and bug itch cream, you will need it! Pack 2 towels for each person if you can. One for pool and one for cabin. Bring some lighting for nighttime if you plan to be outside. On our visit Wi-Fi was only available at recreation center be prepared to let the kids use your hot spot. Download their app! It's helpful! We can't wait to visit again! read more

It has a ton of amenities, and the staff is great. The price for a cabin per night is ridiculous $400!!! - we stayed 3 nights! - Had I known I would have to pack up my house to be comfortable during the stay I probably would have not paid and gone. Undoubtedly priced for use of all the amenities for the kids which we would not use except the pool - but the pricing did not include towels, linens, a bathmat, paper towels, washcloths, a hair dryer( I have not had to bring a hair dryer to any hotel/cabin in over 20 years) and to be asked to clean the floor upon leaving - um isn't that why you have a cleaning staff? A vacation where I need to bring everything and need to clean (the floor was filthy when we arrived) is just not a vacation. I was shocked to see a roll of toilet paper!! I felt I way overpaid for the overall experience. If you have kids, it may be worth the additional cost to you to keep them entertained, but those not using most of the kids amenities are paying for them - they should have different bands - all activities, no activities, pool only, pool and waterpark and make those using them pay a premium and make it less for those that are not. The TV kept randomly shutting off and the picnic table was filthy. Please do not ask me to bring everything and clean your floors for the next guest - it's ludicrous and doesn't make it feel like a restful and relaxing trip. I won't be back until the corporate greed is addressed and prices are fair for what you get. read more

(BED BUGS!) Just a warning as I want to prevent anyone possible from going through what we are currently going through-- Our family intended to have our first stay at the Lakes Region Milton, NH location last weekend to celebrate our child's birthday. We arrived and checked into our cabin without issue Friday evening. I tucked my child into one of the beds in the cabin with rented linens provided by the location and started decorating the cabin with some birthday supplies. Just before 1am, I went to check on my child and saw an adult bed bug, freshly fed, scurrying across their blankets. Horrified-- I pulled back the blankets and quickly found two more bed bugs. We found another bed bug crawling near our belongings in the main living/dining room area. We called the emergency number having no idea what else to do with it now being nearly 2am. We then had, who I assume is a manager, show up and say he couldn't confirm that the bed bugs we had captured and saved in a ziploc bag were bed bugs and said they'd never had an issue with bed bugs at the location before. He said he saw "no evidence" of bed bugs and he could look for another cabin for us or we could leave. But that he wouldn't guarantee any reimbursement or refund. We were so shaken and worried to run into the same issue at another cabin or with other provided linens-- we just decided to head home (hours away) with our crying and bed bug bitten child in the middle of the night. We packed everything into plastic trash bags attempting to prevent bringing any bed bugs home with us. We ended up having to throw away a ton of things including a fridge full of food we had packed for the weekend, pajamas & slippers, birthday presents and decor supplies-- etc. As well as a custom birthday cake that didn't survive the journey home. We're still waiting for a call back after the "local pest company" allegedly inspects the cabin. It is absolutely unbelievable to me that we weren't immediately offered a refund of our stay at minimum considering we weren't able stay a single night due to the state of the cabin, we had to trash so many personal & meaningful items, and we're still paying $$$ to clean everything we had to bring home with us to prevent spreading. Not to mention the continuing emotional and mental impact of all of this on our entire family. I truly cannot give a strong enough warning to stay away from the cabins at this location and this location in general. We are so exhausted and could not have even imagined a worse experience. This has been, and continues to be, horrific and nothing at all has been communicated to us to remedy the situation now nearly four days out. Save yourself the trauma and pick another place to stay. We wish we had. Attaching images of the first bed bug found on the bed, which I ended up squishing in a panic. Then images of two more found on the bed and in the living area trapped with paper cups and placed in a ziploc bag. **Just saw a Google review left several hours ago about another bed bug infested cabin reported to management over a week ago. The manager claimed to us that they had NEVER had an issue with bed bugs when speaking with them last weekend. I am absolutely appalled by the dishonesty and the refusal to refund & reimburse us now knowing that this was not the first incident and they were fully aware of an ongoing situation.** read more

My family and I went expected to have a wonderful time for my twins birthday. God, I'm sorry, NEVER again. I'm so disappointed. One of the staff member treated my autism son so unfair. Kids just want to be kids. They are having fun. Everyone in the entire park was playing, laughing, going down the slides. RUNNING!!! But She targeted him to entire time. Even told me she kept her "eyes on him" since the day before at the waterpark. ALL off the kids were running, having fun. But my son was repeatedly STOP, and scolded! Telling him to stop running, all of the first 10 minutes I was there. He is on the spectrum and NON VERBAL. She came up and spoke to us regardiing him, and after telling her that he's on the spectrum, she didn't care. I explained that he's different, and scolding him doesn't help. Anyone who had kids/family on the spectrum, non verbal, KNOWS. Especially a 6 year old boy!! And we asked if she's doing the same to other kids, and clearly, she's not. It's easier to attack us because we were the ONLY ASIAN family. Yogi Bear, do better. please make us ALL feel welcome. If you do not allow kids or people that are different, please say so on the sites before I book and spend the SAME dollars as everyone else. It's so upsetting to know, if you look different, you're treated different. Everyone, save some $$$ and go to Bayley's Campground in Maine. read more

No longer family owned, not so quiet anymore but lake and location are absolutely perfect. Prices have increased & personal touch of prior owners no longer evident in the gardens & overall feel of the campground (for example quiet time is not enforced as much now as it previously was) but it is still a decent campground. GAME ROOM - bare & unkept, was previously behind office so well overseen by management, now in freestanding building, unattended & all by itself so it is a teen free for all! Clearly ignored with pool tables pockets stuffed with junk, bumper pads torn, balls missing, etc. BTW where is Ms. PAC Man??? MANAGEMENT: staff always customer friendly! Suggest photos in the office of key management (manager, assistant manager, etc.) and that those folks circulate around the campground so they're known and approachable. Music should never be loud enough to be heard at the next site Day or night. Constant vigilant and visible circulation by management and security Will Proactively prevent noise. POOL: Waiting for the pool that is supposed to have been built by now & praying that there are adult (21 yoa or older) only hours i.e. 8 to 10 PM!!! FOOD TRUCK serves great lunch options with a smile, consider an air-conditioned location to enjoy your food instead of out in the beating hot sun. Also the poor person cooking the food was sweltering but did have a smile! GOLF CART rentals are a concern as it seems that they are faster than the cars often with children and Floaties hanging out making them even more dangerous! Consider 21 and over for a golf cart drivers and limit I have four people, also lights are very bright so not safe for those walking. PETS allowed, but noise and excess barking is just ignored. BATHROOMS/SHOWERS are clean however it literally takes me a half an hour to rinse my hair as the water pressure is horrific. Also Square wooden shower stands all of a sudden are gone in some showers this year! Paper towels not kept up and in dryer not working in at least one bathroom. Porta potty's are clean and well kept. PLAYGROUND is clean and it is nice that dogs are not allowed. DISK GOLF COURSE, TRAILS & LASER TAG are nice. There are trails that go around the rear and side of the property which are clean well-maintained and safe to walk on. INTERNET Service is spotty read more

The meadow cottage cabins had plenty of room for my family of 4. Plenty of activities for the kids and teens. Front Desk was very helpful. The pond was perfect for swimming. The ice cream was awesome. I love the meadow cottages because the porches are screened in. Had a great time. Hope to go back next year! read more

This is a nice, family oriented campground. This is our second year going - we rent a cabin. The cabins are great because if it rains, you are inside so it is much better than a tent. The cabin also has A/C so if it gets too hot outside, you can stay in the air conditioning. The campground offers a lot of activities and things for kids to do. The pool is awesome. They have a "jumping pillow" - a large, long, rectangular blown up pillow the kids can jump on. There are various activities scheduled throughout the day, reasonably priced. There are only a couple negative things - the WiFi is awful, nearly non-existent. The staff said they are "between" carriers but when it's raining and you're hanging out in the cabin, for which you paid a great deal to stay in, you should be able to access WiFi and various channels like Netflix and Amazon Prime. It wasn't helpful to be told to "play cards". I think the place could use more signage as well - it is hard to read the map and understand exactly what is where. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and will go back. read more

Read if renting a cabin: The Cabin: realistically this sleeps 2 adults and 2 or 3 children. Granted it technically "sleeps" more but it would be impossible to eat, shower, store food or clothing for that many people. Especially if it rains. Bring fans to help circulate the AC air from the kitchen into the back bedroom and bring a bath mat because the showers flood a little. Also, the queen size bed is very uncomfortable. This year we brought a mattress topper and it was fine. There are only two oversized chairs and a small table in the screened in porch, 4 stools and one oversized chair / pull out bed in the cabin. Grounds / Activities: clean and fun. We are able to let out 11 year olds and his friends ride around without any worry. Lots of things to do for the kids and the bouncy pillow is a hit with all age kids. Bring cash for any activity the kids want to do. Dogs: I'd suggest they add a daily activity for the Bark Park, something like "at 9:30am & 4:30pm bring your friendly, socialized dogs to the park for a play date " or something. The dogs need to stay on leash at the park, there are tons of dogs, but each time we were at the Bark Park there were no other dogs. Our pup needs to get energy out with other dogs so a week was a long time for her not to play with other dogs. Bee's: there were bee's everywhere this year. Bee's we're in the wood they delivered, in the garden patch near our cabin and at the beach. Bring some "Raid" bee and wasp spray because they didn't sell it at the store. I'm surprised none of us got stung, but there were bee's all over the place! Quiet / Security: we didn't observe anyone monitoring quiet times or respectful noise levels. Three cabins down blasted music all day and night, so loud we couldn't hear our own music. Additionally, for our last two nights, there was a couple in the cabin next to us arguing all night inside and outside of the cabin, sweating at one another, etc and there wasn't anyone around to monitor. Groceries: stock up before you come, there isn't anything near the camp ground and they country store only has very basic things. read more

That being said been there for last month, they allowed tenters which is fine but no close bathrooms, We have been going for 10 years and that is over. They have lied to us treated us and my kids like they are thugs. I watched a gut next to my site shit behind my camper, because the bathhouse wasn't opened . when i called and asked i got the you know not enough staff to clean bathrooms every 2 hours. Really how about instead of having yogi ride around have him clean the shitters. Or the hay ride that people on top of each other, come on really. This is not a bad campground, in fact I would say it is actually a good campground- that is why I am giving them 2 stars instead of 1. We just enjoyed our second visit, but several things about this campground don't sit right with me. First the day before we checked out, we went to the office to re-book for next year. There were 4 people behind the counter and only one person on the other side needing help. We were told that it was their busy time and could we come back the following day. Not only was it inconvenient, it didn't make sense, not only because there were 4 people working, but also because the following day was when everyone else would be checking out for the week. The second issue I have is that they have changed their policy making their weekly rentals go from Friday to Friday. This means not only do you have to take the whole week off, but also the Friday before. For people who only get 2 weeks off a year, this makes it very difficult. We had to leave abruptly due to an emergency and were unable to book for next year. I called the following day to book from Friday - Tuesday and they were unable to book so I was told a manager would call me back, which they did. Apparently, if you want to camp for anything less than 7 days, you can't do it at Mi-Te-Jo's!!! read more

As first time RVers, we really hit the jackpot choosing to stay at Mi-Te-Jo on a picturesque fall weekend in October. It was an easy ~2 hour drive from Boston. The grounds were perfect, from the beautiful and spacious lots to the super clean bathrooms and really nice playgrounds. The views of the lake were really something special. There are a lot or regulars around the campground. It was pretty obvious we were newbies and everyone still made us feel welcome. The staff were a highlight of the weekend. We had no clue what we were doing and they were so patient and helpful at every step from when we arrived, finding a spot we'd love, helping guide us into our site, checking in on us every day we went to the store to purchase firewood and other fun items, troubleshooting our clunker of a rented RV we showed up with, etc. Full disclosure, we stayed at Mi-Te-Jo at end of season and the campground wasn't too crowded. I can't imagine the staff can be so attentive in their peak season. There are a bunch of cabins around the campground that I think we might try in the future. They appeared in great shape from the outside and were near the RV sites still around all the fun. My kids want me to mention to the Yelp world that Mi-Te-Jo has awesome events and entertainment. We took a nighttime hayride to a haunted house the staff created and ran. My kids said it was the best part of their weekend. The staff even customized the haunted house experience for my kids, making it extra scary for my 9yr old (at his request) and not scary for my 5yr old (the monsters high-fived him the whole way instead of scaring him - how sweet is that?). The kiddos also enjoyed daytime activities jumping on the huge bubble, fishing, their first experience with shuffleboard, bocce, and a huge chess board. Thank you Mi-Te-Jo for a memorable weekend for my family and showing my kids they can have fun in nature without Fortnite or YouTube. We will be back! read more

I've been coming to this campground for years. Loved it when it was privately owned, not so much as Yogi corporate run park. The park hasn't changed much other that adding a few kid activities, like tractor ride with blasting music around the park between 9pm an 10pm. And they've added a ton of cabins on wheels aka trailers. But at $275 a night which I guess might be ok for some. This year I paid $550.00 discounted for a waterfront site for the week. It was $450 discounted the previous year. I usually reserve the same site before i leave, an additional $20 fee plus 50% upfront. This is a yogi jellystone requirement. To my surprise the 2022 fee increase was like $1300.00 and with discount $927.00. I was expecting to pay more, but not an 40% increase. The camp is nice, but beach is small and crowded. Less staff this year, and the promised swimming pool, restaurant etc, has yet to be developed. Seems the town is fighting the water park theme. If you go don't expect much service or extras, unless you like being nickeled and dimed . There's really nothing around the area (Milton) for entertainment. Great campground with friendly owners. Lots of fun and lots to do. One of the cleanest campgrounds around, always raked and looking good. Sites are good but cab be close if near the water. Hook ups are good and we had a great time. They try to control dust by wetting the roads but it can be dusty. Good band there this past weekend. read more

Pros: Mi-te-jo Campground was overall a nice place. The grounds were exceptionally clean and well cared for. The bathrooms were very clean and had free hot showers. It was located on a beautiful lake and there were two small beaches for swimming. The service was great. All the staff was friendly, accessible, and helpful when needed but also gave us space. I went up with my boyfriend for a weekend getaway and we wanted a somewhat secluded area so we could have a few drinks in front of a peaceful campfire. As long as you are respectful of the neighbors and are not too loud, the staff is not intrusive. (I've read some reviews of campgrounds about owners "stalking" their customers...that is NOT the case here). The woman I talked to on phone was very nice and she even let us pick the site we wanted on the map. The sites are large and wooded. They were pretty close together in some areas, but there were some more secluded sites. You definitely need to specify your desires for a site since there is a variety. The cleanliness, and friendly staff were the two best things about this place! Cons: MOSTLY RV FRIENDLY aka very expensive for tenters!!! Most if not all of their sites had water, electric, cable, AND sewer so you're paying more for all of the site amenities even if you don't need them. We only had a small tent but we paid $43 per night. Because we didn't really need any of the site amenities, it made our stay a bit pricey. Also, upon checkout, we asked the staff if we could park outside of the campground and play tennis for a little bit, thinking that it would be no problem. The woman allowed us to stay for only one game but she was hesitant and said that they normally charge half a day for late checkout. We expected that since we had already moved out of our camp site than it would be perfectly fine to use the amenities for just an hour or two. It left us feeling a little disappointed that she was so hesitant especially when we just paid $43/per night for a small campsite. The location is real nice because it is nestled on a quiet lake, however, it is at least a 30-40 minute drive to many attractions on or close to Lake Winnepesaukee. We hiked Mt. Major and it was about 35mins from the campground. So if you're planning to spend an ample amount of time visiting the Winnepesaukee area or the white mountains, you may want to consider something closer to those areas. With that being said, the drive was not too bad, it was just farther than we had expected. Overall Impression: I would definitely recommend this place to families because there is a lot of stuff to do on the campground itself for children. As for couples, my boyfriend and I enjoyed the beach but we mainly ventured away to the Winnepesaukee area to hike and visit attractions. This campground is more family oriented, however, it is still nice for couples. I do not think it is the best place for tenters simply because of the price but if your willing to pay a few extra dollars for a guaranteed clean and friendly place, then it is not a bad deal. this is a great campground for those who like camping with electricity. the sites along the lake are gorgeous, and most sites are spacious. you can rent boats, and there's some decent stuff for kids (playground, arcade). the owners are SO NICE and really make sure everyone's happy. the cabins are clean and very accommodating. there's an adult lounge that has an old computer, old books, puzzles, and a few other fun timey games when you feel like getting a real rush. my family goes every year and they usually get a suggestion to be quiet at night, but it's never gotten to the point where they get in trouble. all and all, this is a great campground. also, i never feel like i'm going to get scabies when i take showers there. yay, mi-te-jo! see you next year! read more

I've been camping pretty much every year for about 50 years now and found Mi-Te-Jo to be one of the best run campgrounds to date! Showers and restrooms are clean and the grounds are immaculate and nicely landscaped. I am failry new to "RV" camping (being a tenter in the past), and did find the sites to be functional in size (plenty of room for the table, screenroom, chairs etc); but not what I would call "private". Not your typical RV "pack em in" parking lot park, but you will be sharing the experience with your neighbors. Staff is friendly, attentive and diplomatic in dealing with the inevitable barking dog type issues. That being said, the people camped there during out stay were courtious and definately not the party crowd. read more
