As a woman of Nimiipuu (Nez Perce) and Greek parents, I was truly excited to see this production. It was well publicized on social media, so I shared out and encouraged friends to join me. It's opening weekend, and I attended the Sunday matinee to attend the opening speech given by Nimiipuu artist, Kellen Trenel, responsible for costumes and set design. His talents stem from generations of traditional beadwork, weaving, and design. The collage of personal, familial, and upcycled modern pieces were evident and truly added a special touch. The setting is small and intimate, but if I'd offer any suggestions, it would be to provide a mic for any Q&A. The story was comedic at times, and made you pause to really absorb the message. The ending packed a punch and brought tears to my eyes! Hats off to all who were involved in bringing this moving play to the area. Hillsboro is a beautiful town that I've not visited, but am glad to have had the opportunity to see more of the region.

My office is in Hillsboro and I live in Beaverton so this is truly a perfect location for me to see a show. The location is also grand when you consider how many great spots are available for getting food before the show or late night places for after the show. The parking is not ideal, especially if you have mobility issues. The parking is also not horrible - you will likely be a few blocks away so you are going to want to plan accordingly. Downtown Hillsboro does become a ghost town after 7pm so you can leisurely walk back to your car after the show. When you walk into the space it seems fairly small based on the lobby. This is just where you check in and grab some wine. The theater itself is a nice layout although you will want to be mindful to go to your right and sit far right if you are in need of a restroom a lot or else you may get stuck. There is not a bad seat in the house from what I could see. The stage and audience seating proximity is pretty perfect and the theater has a very open feel to it so I never felt cramped or like the air was stagnant etc. This is just a great place to see something unique. If A Clockwork Orange is any indication of the quality of shows put on at the Vault - I can't wait to see another show here.

Muriel was always so understanding, listened to our every detail and seriously delivered when we were finally able to have our wedding! Not only had the entire venue really come to life with all of the decorations, but before the ceremony my hubby and I got to take a look inside the barn and I couldn't help but cry at how incredibly gorgeous it was. The Adeline Farms team really made everything more gorgeous than I could have ever imagined! Annika was with me (bride) the entire time making sure I had what I needed and was on time. Another thing I would like to note is that the venue manager, Nicole, is one of the "good guys" in the wedding industry. The garden had taken a setback and the gardens were not properly cleaned up prior to the rehearsal and also the day of the wedding. The grass did not appear to have been freshly cut, no fresh mulch and there were some dead bushes near the areas where guests would be attending near the front of the building. The building was wedding ready and everything was functioning well! The day of manager was great to work with and all vendors appeared to know the venue well. The guests also loved the old feel of the building and it gave such a nostalgic and magical theme. Our family will always remember this day at the Old Schoolhouse with such fondness!

Stairs to the stage are vey dangerous. The air conditioner to the get ready room broke during the wedding and flooded the hallway. We had to use all of our bathroom paper towels to attempt to dry up the dangerous mess. We called management several times and they were of no assistance. The bride and he wedding party literally had to drag their dresses though the mess. The field was dirty and full of broken glass and garbage the day of the ceremony. All of these concerns and more were brought up to the owners/managers without an appropriate response or concern. Don't book your special event here until the owners learn how to run a proper event.

During the spring and summer you'll see all sorts of events here- birthdays, weddings, summer camp. I especially like the master gardener area. It's a separate fenced off section that you can go in and take a look at different gardening methods. The playground is neat too!

We stopped by Sunday afternoon and parked, fairly empty lot, planning to take the longer unpaved trail and knowing virtually nothing about the estate. When we ended up back at the estate we were very pleasantly surprised. The unpaved trail was just okay, but the grounds surrounding the estate are so lovely. Little paths everywhere, sweet garden areas, a large green yard, and beautiful trees. Looked like there was a lot more to see next visit. Really a fantastic estate. Seems like a fabulous place for an event and definitely an enjoyable spot to wander on a lazy afternoon.
