From my understanding I believe this is a Christian camp, but around Christmas time it is transformed into the most beautiful Christmas town! CAMP CHRISTMAS !!! The family had such an amazing night here!!! From 5-9 it's like a dream from a Christmas movie! Water fountain shows, hay rides,laser tag (legit laser tag), Sappy the talking tree (HILARIOUS), kids games you can win raffle tickets for GREAT raffle items, hot cocoa, jump house and soooo much more!! I can't say enough how each and every worker was sooo happy to be there! Felt like Christmas joy was flowing through every inch of this place ! PLEASE check the place out if you have the opportunity!! You won't regret it AT ALL! PINE VALLEY BIBLE CONFERENCE! This weekend I spent time with my catholic church at SDSU, and it was incredible to be able to spend time at this conference center! There was over 200 people, so it was a pretty exciting for the new experiences. The cabin itself to begin was a bit dirty, there was hair from previous people, and the shower was very weak and sometimes had hot water or swapped to cold in seconds. The room itself all had atleast a bathroom and shower (I stayed at Hillside), and there was toilet paper provided and bar of soaps! The nature was very beautiful however, I wish there was more hiking trails that were longer, however they have lots of activities such as swings, zip lining, and archery. The food staff were incredible and the food we had there was delicious! Ranging from all american foods to breakfast, lunch, dinner. Parking was super easy to manage, since all of it was in one lot. The place itself was still extremely bright and welcoming, people were cleaning all the time! read more

This camp hosts church groups with small children. Children tend to leave items behind. However, this camp will only hold an item for 7 days before donating your items to Salvation Army. That is not enough time for a parent to realize an item was lost and trace back to where it was left. They could have at least held it for one month. Oh, and the employees laugh before hanging up the phone. read more

We have now been to Camp Christmas 3 years in a row! This is slowly becoming my favorite tradition. The water show is one of my favorite! They have some teens working there and they all are super sweet and helpful! My daughter has a hurt foot and they called a golf cart to drive us to our car! Attended my first event here and I wasn't disappointed at all. What a beautiful, peaceful place this is. I absolutely loved the grounds and being surrounded by so much of God beauty! We stayed the weekend in a room that slept 3 with a Jack n Jill attached bathroom to another room that slept 3. The shared bathroom had a toilet and a stand up shower and each room had its own sink. In the 3 person rooms there was a queen bed and a set of bunk beds. You need to bring your own bedding but they did provide pillows (I brought my own). The rooms were clean and they had a small closet which was nice to put the suitcases in. They also provided an extra blanket, fan and heater. The chapel was small but beautiful and if you looked out the windows you could see the 3 beautiful crosses on the mountain top. We held our conference in the Hall (can't remember the name). It was clean and spacious. The audio was decent too. I appreciated that they had an area in the back to serve coffee and tea. There was also a water cooler and full sized refrigerator for our use. They had lots of folding tables and chairs too! We ate all of our meals in the mess hall and the food was surprisingly good. I'm not one for buffet style food but I was pleasantly surprised. I'm addition to the main course they offered a very nice salad bar with everything you could possibly want on a salad and lots of drink options to include, juice, sodas, milk, tea, coffee and flavored waters! The hall seated ALOT of people. They require you wear a mask while getting your food and walking around the mess hall and provided hand sanitizer at the entrance. The grounds had all kinds of things to do! They had archery, a rope course, zip line, ping pong, hiking trails, board games etc. I love that they have scripture engraved on wood signs all over the grounds reminding you of Gods love and promises. I also visited the coffee shop and gift shop. The coffee shop offered a nice variety of coffee drinks and I loved the gift shop. It had a great variety of gifts and memorabilia at VERY decent prices. read more

****UPDATE 11/28/2022**** : For second year my family attended camp Christmas! It was even BETTER than last year and here is why- 'climb in the pines' was phenomenal! We have not seen a 'rock climb' like this in the 50+ foot trees before so it was a totally unique, first time experience for only $5.00! Totally awesome!!! Also the hay ride is much shorter now which is a big plus. Another new thing- kids LOVED the miniature train ride, total blast! Lastly, the buffet was a STEAL at only 12 bucks per person and the zillions of choices of absolutely delicious soups were PERFECT on a cold night! One suggestion, now that I have had my family attend both during December and November (we went earlier this year hoping it would not be as freezing) I kind of wish the hours were just a tad earlier like opens as 3:30 PM and closed at 7:30 pm. If you opened a little earlier the hay ride and tree climb would be even better :) Plus after about 8pm it drops VERY LOW in temp - even in November it was in the high 30s when we left, so we were pretty much ready to go by 8:30. But what speaks volumes of this experience was when my youngest asked her mommy, "Can we make this a new family tradition each year?" - From the mouth of babes :) read more

Went to visit with my church a few weeks ago and has tremendously gone downhill. I remember coming to this camp years ago and it being so fun, staff was so kind, I made personal connections with staff, and now returning none of those staff arent there anymore and current staff could care less about campers and guests. It just doesn't seem it's revolved around Christ anymore but only selfish ambition from staff. Not all the staff there but definitely a few. The leadership just seems they want to control everything and everyone and that's not what Christ is about. Wouldnt recommend coming here until they get new leadership. Until then, I recommend other camps in Southern California. It's just sad to see this place go so far downhill and they make it seem what they're doing is good when it's completely opposite read more

What a great retreat site! I've been here on multiple occasions for different retreats, and I've never been unhappy with anything the facilities had to offer. The staff is very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. I came here 4 times for a college ministry retreat. The last time I came as part of the retreat leadership, so I got to interact with the pine valley staff a little more and see how they worked. The staff comes in and does a ton of behind the scenes work to ensure the comfort of all who are staying here. We were heading up a retreat for at least a good 500-600 students, so things were very hectic at times. But whenever we needed anything at all, the Pine Valley staff was there to help us out and get us whatever we needed right away. They always give us these huge cookies that are super delicious, too. The last time I came here(the 5th time) was with our church for a retreat we were holding. We had a very small ministry, and our entire retreat was only around 20 people or so. I was worried that because we were such a tiny group we might not get the service or attention that I noticed when I came with a far larger group. Boy, was I wrong! The staff was just as caring and helpful as I remembered. The staff knew our schedule, and they even took the liberty to sneak into the rooms we would use earlier than us to turn on the heaters so that when we got there, we'd feel nice and toasty. As a ministry, we were very blessed to see such diligent, kindhearted, and joyful workers. Having more cookies didn't hurt, either. :) They have plenty of facilities, including basketball courts, horseshoes, an archery range, a game room, paintball facilities, tire swings, and more. Last time when I was there they were almost finishing up a new swimming facility, so that will probably be up and running by now. The food is good, the staff is friendly, prices are reasonable, and the facilities are pretty nice. If you're planning a retreat, make it here! read more

My husband & I are the directors of SEP So Cal Youth Camp, a one-week Christian youth camp that RENTS the facility at Pine Valley Bible Conference Center in order to house our 170 campers and 100 staff. This coming July will be our 5th year at the camp facility and we have so many great things to say about the camp staff & facility. STAFF - They have amazing staff with excellent attitudes - from their Executive Director, Steve Daniels, to their High School kitchen staff -- they are all there to serve. FACILITY - They are constantly doing upkeep and maintenance on the facility and are continually adding new activities and improving the overall camp experience. They are good at getting feedback and listening to ideas & suggestions. Pricing wise, its not bad. Two issues though, they kept running out of food so we had to complain. Teenagers eat a lot... They had a huge fly problem while there in June. They do have a lot of different activities to do for free, more so than other retreat sites. They could install another set of bball hoops on their courts though. Lot's of open areas. Also need more drains in their restrooms. read more

I have been going to Pine Valley Bible Camp for more years than I can count, first when our kids were young, and now, when they are all married and living all over the place! Our youngest has Down Syndrome and this camp week is her absolute favorite! The lodges where we stay, are wonderful, comfortable, and very luxurious for a camp setting. There are many, many activities available, including the pool, which is my daughter's favorite! There is time for just quietly visiting and renewing old friendships or making new ones. It's definitely a week for making memories. Steve & Annette Daniels, who run the camp, are godly, wonderful people, who go out of their way to make the week a success. They exemplify the life of service and self-denial for others. I can't praise them enough. They have chosen their staff well, each one friendly, helpful, and kind. Kudos also go to Mary Jo Edwards who oversees the kitchen. Vonie and Albert Gass, who have overseen the grounds are also excellent and get lots of praise from me and my family! I highly recommend Pine Valley Bible Camp. It's our favorite week of the year! read more

This place brings back lots of memories for me. Our church used this campsite, year after year, faithfully. We weren't the only church in our area that did either! :D I'll admit, the lodging space isn't the nicest (sparse and not the cleanest), but it's not like we're out to stay at a 5 star hotel, now are we?
