After trying to get an appointment at both LabCorp and Quest diagnostics and having none available for almost two weeks and then going to both locations to be told that they had over two hour wait for walk-ins, I finally searched to see if there was something else close by. I called Labworks and was told that they currently had no wait. I got there and got checked in within a few minutes and I was out of the building in less than 10 minutes. In addition, both the receptionist and the phlebotomist were very courteous and the waiting area was nice. The phlebotomist used a butterfly needle to draw my blood as well as compression tape afterwards to prevent bruising. I'm not an easy blood draw and I appreciate the extra care that was taken. Now that I know that this is an option, I will probably never return to the cramped, unfriendly mass lab locations when I need lab work done again.

However, after today I am impressed! Making an appointment is very easy to do online. It doesn't take long and the step by step process is seamless. On top of that, the check in process is even easier! You simply can check in from your phone or check in using the touch screen service bar once you get inside. I probably sat in the waiting room for a total of three minutes before I was called back to do my blood work. On top of that, the place is very clean. The employees seem very friendly and straightforward on their job. I wasn't even in the facility for more then twenty minutes. The in and out was a breeze!

However, Renand at the Advent Health Lab in Hunters Creek was wonderful. I shared my last experience on how the technician blew my vein and he was so apologetic and reassured that wouldn't be the case with him. This was by far; a much better lab! I was able to get all my questions answered and have my test done promptly. I needed to obtain a hair follicle test, quest diagnostic was making it pretty impossible, no one at all there to help...just very dismissive..."we need the Qpassport" & "we can't do the test without a code" When I got to any lab test now, the tech was able to clearly and honestly answer my questions, give me pricing and explained how the test would be done and the turnaround for results. I have never had a hair follicle test done before today. I was worried I would end up with a weird bald spot on my head, I was very lucky to have had this done at any lab test now because the woman explained how she takes lil strands from different places- rather then one chunk of hair from one spot! I seriously appreciate the help and consideration! I'm so glad I was referred to this lab! I hope everyone having issues with quest or any of the "too busy" kinda places out there, don't go back! I had an extremely disappointing experience at the Labcorp location on N. John Young Parkway…read more My husband and I arrived around 2:00 PM, and the posted closing time was 2:30 PM. The front door was open, and we were able to sign in as instructed. We sat and waited patiently, and another patient was already waiting before us. A woman who identified herself as Mary suddenly came out and loudly said, "WHAT Y'ALL HERE FOR?! WE CLOSED 15 MINUTES AGO!" Her tone was rude, aggressive, and completely unprofessional. She seemed shocked and upset that there were still customers in the building during normal business hours. We were confused because the door was open, we had successfully checked in, and it was still before the posted closing time. Instead of explaining the situation respectfully, Mary told us she wasn't taking any more patients because she had "a lot of stuff to do" and instructed us to come back the next day. If a business closes at 2:30 PM, customers should not be made to feel like a burden for arriving before closing. Employees may have tasks to complete at the end of the day, but that should not result in customers being yelled at or treated disrespectfully. What upset us most was not being asked to return another day--it was the way we were treated. There was no professionalism, no courtesy, and no regard for customer service. Patients come to Labcorp for important medical services and deserve to be treated with respect, not spoken to as if they are inconveniencing staff by showing up during posted business hours. I hope management reviews this incident and addresses the level of customer service being provided at this location.
