This place is a good family destination. You get to travel out to the Christmas tree fields on horse drawn wagons to cut your own tree. Nice little gift shop. Friendly kind staff. The reason I didn't give it five stars is because they don't have any inventory anymore. We went here this year for our Christmas tree as we have for the last 10 years and they didn't have anything over 5 foot tall that wasn't pre-cut and pulled in from Canada. It looks like they've experienced some very poor inventory management over the years. So we ended up purchasing a pre-cut tree, about $100. And it was dropping needles everywhere when we decorated it later that day. 10 years ago I would've given them five stars, but now only three. I hope they're able to recover because this family friendly place truly has potential. read more

Love coming to Pinecrest Christmas Tree farm to pick out a tree and cut it down for the holiday season. This place reminds me of the best memories with my family growing up preparing for Christmas. They do a wonderful job leveraging their kind staff to take you around on a horse drawn flat bed and drop you off in the section of the farm that has the trees you're looking for. They have spruce, douglas fir, frasier fir, and another one I'm missing. The trees are nicely shaped and the provide a hand saw for you. If you're not into cutting yourself, they have some pre cut trees as well as wreaths, ornaments, and free hot chocolate. I've enjoyed continuing this tradition even though I'm far away from my family. My friends and now husband make this a wonderful annual experience. We had the best tree buying experience ever at Pinecrest, so much so we will probably be lifelong customers. After searching at our nomrmal tree place and finding the selection to be less than ideal, we were left tree-less on a rainy Friday evening in early December. Our family has a tradition of getting our tree, ordering a pizza and watching a christmas movie as we decorate the tree. The only problem was we didn't have a tree. I called Pinecrest to see if they were open and I was delighted to see that they were open till 6pm. We drove up and were maybe one of 3 or 4 cars there. The staff greeted my family and I warmly, and even made a few jokes. The rain was miserable and it was cold, as dusk set in and we ventured out into the fields. While we didn't find a tree out in the fields that suited our needs, their pre-cut trees were gorgeous. We picked an absolutely beautiful Douglas Fir tree that looks and smells incredible. The staff, took great care in preparing the tree for transport to our home. We paid for our tree, picked up a few pine branches, and our kids really enjoyed the free hot cocoa. We had the best experience and will make Pinecrest our new destination for our family Christmas tree. The Farm was quaint, clean, and a true joy. It wasn't overdone with all of the kitsch that you find at other places and felt like a true, old-fashioned, country tree farm. Best tree experience ever! read more

My family and I have been going to Pinecrest for our annual tree along with ornaments for several years. This year as we returned, the staff inside dealing with our purchases were very brutal and yelling at customers. Clearly they were busy and it was opening week, but still. This is a store about Christmas and joy and these teenagers working had very poor attitudes. Some of the workers at the register were making rude comments and being very judgmental to the customers. My husband overheard 2 young workers, I believe one was blonde, gossiping about somebodys body weight and saying the most out of pocket comments. This should not be something any customer should be hearing from staff, especially young girls! Its a shame to see this wonderful location go down due to their employees. The amount of young workers I saw on their phones, standing around, It seems to me that these kids aren't made for a busy job like Pinecrest. Do better Pinecrest management! Itll be questionable if I return next year. read more

Last year (2021) had a great experience. They are helpful, well-organized and know how to deal with crowds. This year (2022), the selection was so slim - almost no Frasier firs. It's a nearly naked landscape except for a few remaining trees. It looks like their popularity depleted available inventory (like for years). Never going back. read more

I would love this give this place a good rating but I'm struggling right now. We went yesterday to get a tree. We normally go to Hensler's, however, we decided we wanted a precut this year and Pinecrest was close. We picked out a 10' Frasier Fir and took it to have it shaken and wrapped. Paid $100 dollars and when we went to get it found, after an exhaustive hour search, that they had "lost"it. It was nowhere. The owner told me we could go pick out another but they didn't have any over 8'. Her husband graciously took us took another field a could of miles away and allowed us to pick another, however, it was now dark. We picked one quickly as we knew he needed to get back. Unfortunately, we get home and we are so disappointed. The tree is awful and certainly not worthy of the $100 price tag. Overall, just a bad experience. Now we're stuck with a mediocre tree and a ridiculous story...I guess 2020 strikes again. read more

Giving the same amount of star treatment as the workers gave me when I was there buying a tree.

We have been coming here for 12 plus years as tradition. This is the first year we were restricted from cutting down the full/nice trees. I inquired snd they said they were opening up those trees for cut down next week. Very disappointing. I guess our tradition has come to an end. We have always left with 2 trees, 6 ornaments. Not this year. At least the weather was beautiful. read more

We were at this farm today Sunday Dec. 6th and we could not get a wagon ride out to the fields we waited about 15-20 minutes and one never showed up. We walked mud and all. We did find a decent tree, that's all they had going for them. They didn't seem to want to help locals much. Won't go there again. . read more

Most amazing Christmas tree farm! Took our little one on the horse drawn trailer today to go pick out a tree and cut it down; then they haul you back with your tree. There were about 6 different species to choose from. Tons of people were there. The location is out of the way but worth it; they provide hot chocolate in their gift shop, saws to cut the tree, they bundle the trees for you and even have a vibration mechanism to shake the needles out. Dirt roads, so it can get very muddy during snow melt days like today; galoshes would've been good. Very friendly folks; this will become our annual tradition for sure if only for the horse drawn trailers. read more

Been buying our trees from Pinecrest for the last 15yrs or so, never had a bad experience. The folks have always been very patient with us and communicate well. Basically, its a live tree farm. You are transported by tractor-drawn wagon out into their acreage and dropped off. You're then free to walk until you find the one you want. Areas are divvied up according to size and type, and generally marked by sign. They have vast numbers of trees. Once you find "the one" you can either cut it down yourself with a provided bow saw and haul it out to the roadway, or mark it and ask the driver to assist as needed when he returns. We generally ask the driver to swing back in 20min unless they're really busy, in which case they'll be running according to a schedule. Never been forgotten about or had to drag a tree in ourselves. They also usually have a few racks of freshly cut trees to choose from, boughs and wreaths, and sell their own type of spiked tree stands. They offer bundling and drilling of the stump (for the tree stands), both are minor extra charges. For customers they usually always have free hot chocolate and coffee, and sell glazed nuts which I believe are supplied by an outside vendor. Prices are fair for this sort of thing, with some varieties (like Frazier fir) being much higher than others. Recommend. read more

Lovely tree farm with fair prices, considering the horse-drawn wagon rides out to the trees. Their wagon routes, however, mean we had to wait a considerable time for a ride back to the main barn (several families walked back, dragging their trees). When we finally caught a ride, we saw several empty wagons headed back to the barn from the other side of the farm. The retail shop, which was the real reason we drove past several other farms to get there, offered Chinese-made ornaments with little appeal. There was one rack with locally-crafted ornaments. If I'm forking over extra for the experience, I'd like to see something that I couldn't buy at a department store. read more

Love visiting this place at Christmas time. It is dog friendly and has a great setup with a cute little shop. I love how they take you back on horse-drawn "carriages" (trailers). Definitely a fun, festive spot! read more

25 year tradition of getting a tree as a whole family the Saturday after TG. First time at Pinecrest and will be last. Nice ride out but had to walk and carry our trees back to store because of the lack of cart or wagon space. Several employees saw us and didn't help. Gave 2 stars because of the beautiful horses. read more
