Fun tough course that is well-maintained and unique. Each hole has its own difficulties and style that makes it fun to play. Not a single hole plays like the one before. There's a nice driving range, 3-hole par three course, practice approach holes, and 3 putting greens as well! The course is always in amazing shape, fairways, greens, and bunkers are always pristine. The practice facility has got to be the best in the area with 4 separate chipping/putting greens, 2 par 3 courses, a large practice bunker, and a sizable driving range. Staff is complete robots, had to call twice on a slow night. The kids you have doing grounds don't want any interaction. I recommend you look into hiring any living breathing person with people skills. Go to Crystal woods or pine crest, food for thought! read more

The facility was amazing, food was wonderful and drinks were great, but we were asked two separate times to "speed up" which truly ruined my entire experience. I'm a beginner, but I've golfed at at least 10-15 places and never felt so uncomfortable. If I'm paying to golf, and I'm not being ridiculous, back off, or space your t times out more. read more

First time customer of Randall Oaks & saw ad in Dundee Township Park District for Mother's Day Brunch $24.95. Called to make reservation & was quoted $26.95. Told them about ad & said I would bring with me to show. Food & Beverage manager said he would give me $2 off an additionally ordered beverage. So he would not honor a community distributed booklet for a $2.00 price difference. Not fairly handled. Worth every penny . My husband and I got married there and had our reception June 30 2017. Everyone I had contact with was kind and attentive. We also did buffet style for our guests and it was delicious! They even set up our table decorations and everything else we needed so we didn't have to worry about it! Visited Randall Oaks yesterday for Easter brunch. The selection was decent and the food tasted good, but service was dismal. We had two servers responsible for our table, Sam and Kim. Neither introduced themselves, but were wearing nametags. Sam seemed to do most of the work, while Kim appeared genuinely aloof. We were never greeted, nor wished a Happy Easter, and the only thing we were offered other than the bill at the end was a choice between apple and orange juice. We had to ask for coffee, we had to ask for tea, and we had to ask for refills. The F&B Director Bill nearly barreled into my son while we were waiting in line with no apology or even acknowledgement. They had an Easter bunny, with a pretty good costume, though wish they hadn't left a tote with the words "Easter costume" sitting out in the open in the mens room. The animals they had outside for the kids were a nice touch but wish they would either expand the area or limit the number of kids they allow in at a time as some of the animals were clearly overwhelmed. Did we enjoy ourselves? Yes. Was it worth $28 per person? No. read more

One of my favorite courses to play. Challenging but not extremely difficult and plays for all types of handicaps. The only reason why I gave it 4 stars is because I haven't played this course in 2 years after I used to play it all the time, but they bumped up there prices pretty good. It was always mid $50s bout 2 years ago and now it $69 for weekend golf, but I guess that the norm these days for golf on the weekend for any decent course. read more

Mother's Day Brunch is VERY POORLY run!!!! The 3rd seating, at 1:00pm runs out of food 40 minutes after opening. Beef roast ran out, and the carver said" the other 2 earlier seatings ate a lot of the meat! " We paid as much as the 1st & 2nd seating so why don't we get the same amount of food???!!! They threw a frozen roast in the oven to appease us, and 5 minutes before we leave they brought out a horrible looking plate of dry beef and grizzle in hopes that that would satisfy us. Disgusting! The Manager Kim offered to let us go home, but drive back to the golf course later in the day to pick up some roast beef when it was done. Who does that???Desserts ran out of the primo cakes, so it was supplemented by cookies & tiny odd looking cakes after the good desserts ran out. Bloody Mary's? They give you a glass of ice with a tiny bottle of vodka on top. No direction as to what we do next. Oh...we have to get up, go to another room & make our own??? We had to figure that out on our own! The staff is tired... non helpful, and non welcoming. NEVER EVER go here for a buffet!!!!! Kim is the manager...she seems to be very adept at the words...I'm sorry. Having played all the public courses in the area I don't know why I haven't been here before but i have really missed the boat. Terrific track with a lot of different looks. Rain cut our round short but everything was immaculate. Well maintained, locker room very clean clubhouse is great and tuna sandwich was awesome. Staff was extremely accommodating and pleasant. Too bad the staff at Randall Oaks don't measure up the quality of the golf course. Played the course this morning and not sure if I'll ever go back. They have 3 greens closed and are using temporary greens while they rebuild some bunkers. The problem is that they didn't tell us (1) when we booked the round or (2) when we paid for the round in the pro shop. It wasn't until we were about to tee off that the starter told us there were two temp greens...pretty much too late for us to change our minds at that point. PLUS, there was another green that got closed down right before we got to it. They've got a lot of gall charging nearly $60 on a weekday when they surprise players that 17% of the greens are shut down. read more

We were there last Friday for their fish fry. Had heard great reviews and was not disappointed. Fish was excellent. Included New England clam chowder. Service was great. I enjoyed this course. The layout is nice and very peaceful. Lots of trees and slopes. I don't like that their range uses tokens instead of just plain cash. I get less balls than at GCI because of it. I took a class here and Steve the instructor and Josh his aid were exceptional with great advice and a relaxed atmosphere. read more

Played Randall Oaks for the first time this year. Fairways and greens in excellent condition, pace of play very reasonable for a weekend. The new golf carts are awesome. Quiet, battery operated carts that are a pleasure to drive and include the most amazing, interactive gps units I've ever encountered. read more

The 2 1/2-3 star reviews on this course is correct. I rate a golf course on its value and the overall experience I have with it. I've played much better, longer, harder, and closer to Chicago courses for much less $$$. The course is maintained fairly well; it is wide open with some water holes but the greens are very slow with little slope. Sometimes you feel like you have to make a 1/4 swing instead of a long putt to get the ball to the hole. NOT GOOD! The burgers were a bit nasty also, but I really don't care about food at a golf course. I paid $42 over holiday weekend here but would not pay more than $25 at anytime ever again. read more

My fiancé and I came to Randall Oaks to see it as our potential wedding venue in May. We really liked the course, the outside ceremony area was beautiful and the reception inside as well. We had our appointment with Denise, the manager, on 10/08/16. However, after our appointment no one followed up with us. We have been looking at a lot of golf courses and never had that happen. Everyone follows up with us to see if we have any additional questions or if there's anything else they could do for us. So my fiancé emailed them to ask a few more questions we had. No response. Then I also emailed Denise, but to this day she has not gotten back to me, it's 10/22/16 so it has been two weeks already! We definitely don't want to work with a venue that doesn't respond to us so we are staying far far away from Randall Oaks. At least they made our decision of what venue we should go with super easy. Could you imagine how stressful the planning process would be without getting answers from them? No thanks. We would rather spend our money somewhere else where they care about their customers. read more

I have to say that for a public golf course this is a tremendous value. Course conditions are as good as any course in the area. The staff, as mentioned in other reviews are very helpful and courteous. The layout is different from front nine to back nine, and it is challenging, but has some limits. Those limits are made up for by the outstanding course conditioning. Great practice areas! High end top of the line golf carts. You will not find better practice areas within 20 miles. This year, my husband and I had our wedding at Randall Oaks and it overly exceeded our expectations! Every one was so accommodating- from answering any questions we had, to making sure I ate during the whirlwind of the day. I am so grateful for everyone there that were so kind to us. Denise made the planning so effortless and reassuring. With all of her experience and unending professional demeanor, our planning became a breeze. The day of our wedding not only met our expectations- it exceeded them and was SO MUCH FUN!!!! To this day, all our guests rant about how much fun it was and how nice the place was. The Golf Course is well maintained and is good for the average golfer. The customer service is very bad. The Head of the Golf Shop (Steve Gillie) is very rude and does not work with customers to solve issues. He demeans the customer and has this very arrogant attitude. If everything goes right and you have no questions the course is good just don't have any problems/issues because it will always be your fault it did not go right. read more

We had a bit of a rocky start with Randall Oaks. They had a switch in coordinators, and our wedding sort of got lost in translation. Once Kim got a hold of us though, everything fell wonderfully in place. The chef put together a custom menu just to fit our theme! The food was delicious, guests just kept telling us how fantastic everything tasted! They accommodated for several of our vegan guests and provided a kids meal as well. At the rehearsal the day before, Kim met with us and helped our officiant wrangle up our very large, disorderly wedding party. She then took all of our decorations and had them set up for us, so when we came in the day of, everything was exactly as we wanted it. On wedding day, it rained, and they quickly moved everything inside and set it up so that we didn't miss a beat. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, constantly asking what they could do or get for us. We really felt special and had barely any stress. After the party ended and the lights came on, they sprang into action, helping our families take everything down and pack it away. When everything was said and done, they were very helpful, inclusive, and budget friendly. We definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a beautiful place to get married. I do not agree with the reveiws of this course at all. I have played here many times since the renovations have been completed, and enjoy the course very much. Much better than local courses Red Tail, Bonnie Dundee and GCI. Conditions are great, staff is great and prices are very reasonable. I have had my son here in their Junior program here and they do a great job as well. Nicest practice facility in the immeidate area as well. Playing there tomorrow and very much looking forward to it. Go there, you won;t be disappointed. read more
