Really nicely maintained course with quiet electric carts. Our last round however their on cart GOS system was really wacked out and you could not rely on it for distances. Horribly smelling ponds at the tee-box on two and the whole par 3 on the back nine and they really need to address that, it is so vile! Fantastic advantage from the forward tees - about 1400 yards worth. Great restaurant at the clubhouse to look over 10 and 18 from the deck.

WOW! It LQQKs like I took a solid "Azz Whipping" from my mentor but we really had a fun good time. Thanks to Greg for a courteous checkin, and most of all to Kevin/Jim for allowing us to start early and we kept pace. It was a beautiful day. And the wifey topped it off with a great dinner and a special "you got yer Azz Whipped Cherry Pie. YummY! Thank You Highlands, what a beautiful nature filled course.

    Ahhh! Sunday morning.

Gorgeous links style course. Undulating terrain and elevations. Brutal fescue requires you to keep it on the fairway or die trying. Pain and pleasure, just the way I like it, though I appreciate the pleasure lot more.

Great course, good value and good pace. The course is well maintained and has nice diversity in the holes. Over the last couple of years have seen deer and a coyote run through the area which keeps things interesting. Definitely worth trying this course out.

Awesome course! We got the bum's rush from the outside staff but had a great experience once we got on the course.

Really nice course but hurts you if you are not accurate. Need to review the holes to avoid unseen obstacles.

I was there today with my fiancée just to chill a little bit. We have had a Bloody Mary and we enjoyed it.

The greens were smaller and slow, but overall the course was semi challenging. It is a park District course, so there were golfers out there of all skill levels that being said the play was slow so if you wanna play a leisurely round, it's OK. The staff was very polite.

Please let me start by saying I am generally very positive when I review places and try to give the…read morebenefit of the doubt. When I tell you that your money is better spent elsewhere I definitely mean it! The course really should not be open for play right now. The fairways are barely cut at all and where they are it is still so high that half of your ball is covered. I don't believe I saw a single level tee box there. All of them were wavy and uneven. On 5 out of the 9 holes there was so much mucky hazard water that it makes the holes nearly impassable even on a cart. To make that worse there are not cart paths for you to retreat to on those holes. I'm not sure if it's a drainage issue or what but it was a terrible experience. The Marshall does not keep with pace of play either. There was a 4 party back up by hole 4 and I was waiting nearly 8 minutes in between holes just to tee off. I have played here past seasons and it was not this bad but this season you may want to go elsewhere. For $25 9 holes you could just save yourself the money and swing around in your backyard. Very unfortunate.

DOUBLE BOGEY Not…read moreeven rain could stop our foursome from enjoying a round of 9 holes at this golf club in Bartlett. For the annual "EKGs for EGK" charity event, I joined Nichole C and a couple friends for a shotgun scramble on 9/29/19. Bartlett Hills Golf Club is located just off of Route 59 & Bartlett Road in Bartlett, IL. Bartlett? BARTLETT!! It had rained heavily the previous day, so the course was soaked but our spirits weren't dampened. The sandpits became small ponds, and the small ponds turned into large lakes. Soggy greens screwed up my short game something fierce. The fairways were pretty f*cked up and many were unplayable in certain areas. Shout out to the woman with the salty language who drove the beverage cart (you da real MVP!) They had a decent selection of craft beer in cans for $5, plus the usual domestic swill, some nice imports, and even White Claw for those who hit off of the ladies' tee. The halfway house looked like it could benefit from a fresh coat of paint and other touch-ups. Course itself was of moderate difficulty, nothing too crazy. We only played half a round on the front 9, so I can't comment on the back 9 holes. Bartlett Hills is definitely more a low-key country club than challenging like Cog Hill. Afterwards, we adjourned to the banquet hall area where our group enjoyed a hot buffet, raffle, and silent auction. Food was more than decent: burgers, brats, baked beans, macaroni salad, coleslaw, and desserts. Staff were on-the-ball (golf pun for the win!) and they took great care of us throughout the event. * TL;DR * You know what they say: a bad day of golf is still better than a good day at work. Well, I've had some pretty awesome days at the office......and some damn lousy days on the links. Despite the fact that the rain really affected play (puddles would literally swallow our ball), we tried to make the best of it. I'm really glad we attended the event hosted by Tracy K -- both my fiancée and I walked away with sweet raffle prizes! In fact, our whole table cleaned up nicely with more than half of us taking something home. I'd be more than happy to come back next year, albeit in more favorable weather conditions. ((For those still not 100% sure where Bartlett Hills Golf Club is, I'm guessing it's located in Bartlett County within The United States of Bartlett. That's just a guess, though))
