Painfully slow dmv. 5 minutes in between each person. Over a 2 hour wait for a title transfer. What a waste of time. Go down the road to a different location would be my recommendation! read more

Scary name: TAX COLLECTOR...the tax collector commeth!! Well, we didn't actually come her for any tax purposes. We came here for the DMV matters. This location is actually a Florida State DMV, not the regular county DMV...so weird to me...I guess it's a Florida thing? (shrugs shoulders) You can get an ID or drivers license for anywhere in the state of FL here unlike the county DMV's which are...you guessed it - County specific. The inside is very well organized, clean and well kept. They also had a 3rd party, cleaning company sanitize every station and chair as soon as it was used and vacated. COVID times! Made an appointment on line and came here. I gotta say the entire process was very smooth and efficient. Very friendly staff...no issues, no dramas. Gotta love the local government efficiency...kudos Pinellas County! read more

I don't care that you work in a job where you see countless people. we all have stressors at our job. but berating a Spanish man for only knowing Spanish is unnecessary and specifically I'm talking to the woman with half her head shaved that works the front desk. you're an awful human being and if you're so burnt out, go work somewhere else. For a very busy county office this is well run with adequate personnel who are well trained and wait times very good for the volume of customers. I went in late November to make sure I got maximum discount on my property taxes and so did many others. Less than 15 minute wait. read more

As far a trip to the DMV goes these guys were a lot friendly than most! Kinda annoying that you need an appointment and then it still takes forever and a day to get through everything but once it was finally my turn they were so quick! They also take social distancing and sanitizing very seriously and clean everything from chairs to counters between every single person so it felt very safe! read more

Walked in to renew my registration and the lady asks if I have an Appointment. What?? What are we at a dentists office?? Lol She says "I need an appointment ,for my benefit cause the wait is usually 2.5 hrs, but luckily someone canceled theirs so I can go in and wait for my number to be called". I get called 5 mins later.. It's not even busy here. lol I've been to the dmv in the Tampa Bay Area about a dozen times in the last 7 years. Literally never waited more than 20 mins max. Certainly never been half as busy as NYC or LA so no need for dramatics like it's overwhelming crazy busy. SMH Places using covid to change the way they do everything nowadays. Just stop. This is a BUSY place... make an appointment! I heard lots complain about the wait but it's very publically known. The staff is fantastic and as far as I'm concerned very patient. Went with a friend to get their licence ... all 5 staff members we came in contact with were friendly and some comical. I usually do everything by mail with this office, but I had a day off and figured I'd just go there and pick up my tag stickers. This is a well run office that screams of efficiency. Once you enter, you are handed a ticket with a random letter and a number (A223). You find a seat and wait for your number to be called. You have no idea when your number is up, due to the randomness of the sequence. 11 minutes later my number was called and a few short minutes with Lorry, and I'm out the door. My DL expired and I had to make an appointment to renew it. Appointment was at 8:45 and I was done everything and out the door in about 12 min. They are doing a great job with the current situation. read more

They no longer do ANYTHING without an appointment. When making an appointment you have to frequently wait at least a week for the next available. If you call to ask a live person a question be prepared to wait on hold for 20 minutes or longer. They have no plans to going back to the pre covid system. The very LEAST they could do is hold some spots for walk ins. read more

This is unique.... I am so used to going to the actual DMV, but in Florida I guess Tax Collector's office will do! Convenient location with lots of staff ready to help. About 30-35 windows. I was able to get a next-day appointment at this location. I had to get the title transfer from out of state, new registration, tags, and new license plate... It is quite spendy! Over $400 total. Cool thing is they do take cash, check, and credit cards. read more

This is an extremely efficient tax collector office. We were in and out in less than 35 minutes to do a title transfer. It's a newer building, well organized, and works off the ticket number ticket system. BEST DMV I've been to in 3 states! read more

Five Stars for this type of establishment, seriously this place is on point! The key is to book an appointment online before you go and the whole process becomes streamlined. Everyone is super friendly and if you have all of the correct documents with you it makes the process so much more easy! I swear I got here at 825 am for my 830 am appointment and I was at a window by 828 am and out of the office by 845 am.... what more can you ask for! Rude employee at the door.... called several women including me "dear" and when I said "may I respectfully request you not call women dear as it is demeaning" he said "shall I call you rabbit". The woman who renewed my tags was pleasant and professional, and she reported my complaint to a supervisor (I told them they could attach my name to the complaint but the supervisor did not write it down... I guess the harassing atmosphere must be something they just live with at that office. read more

I agree with Jesse W. The experience at the Starkey Road location of the tax collector office was much more professional than the Gulf to Bay location. I had to transfer my title from Maryland to Florida. I went back and forth to the office on Gulf to Bay 4 times. They needed the date of the purchase of my car in order to calculate the fee to transfer the title. I bought the car in 2001. I didn't have the receipt. Heads up, Gulf to Bay: look at the date of the VIN on the title, that shows the date of purchase. Anyway, the Starkey Road location handled the situation easily. I got my tags. I will only go to this location going forward. Great Job. read more

The dealers desk has the most unpleasant staff! They are the most pettiest 2 woman! Unfortunately the manager Kristen is just as bad! None of these 3 women should ever be aloud to work with the public. Dealers bring in a lot of money and to have these employees be so petty is just wrong. If you call the dealer desk, ask a simple dealer question, and they answer with a 30 second answer, the next time you come In they will put a passive agressive note on you bag, telling you to call a different line for "general questions" When I called in and asked the very SIMPLE question...why didn't you just simply say,.. "we do not answer dealer questions... only do the dealer bags! " because they have no Balls! and for gods sake... would it kill you to crack a smile... btw... the dealers desk reeks of cigarette smoke! I honesty can't wait till they rotate the workers Bc all the other people in the rotation are a joy to work with! read more

The staff is always smiling and so friendly!! I have had to go three times since moving here a few months back and it is never anything more than a half hour trip!! In RI, It's anyways a 2-3 hour wait so it was refreshing! I don't mind going here! read more
